My 5 favorite live action actors of The Joker

#5 Jared Leto in Suicide Squad

In all honesty, he sucked. I hate this version of the joker and how they try to play him as like a mob boss cartel style thing. Joker was never like that really. Even down to the design I can’t stand this reenactment. The grills, the fit, the hair, and the tattoos just don’t give Joker. Along with this joker I also cannot stand the Harley Quinn. I love Margot Robbie and she fits the role it’s just the design and everything. I think Jared Leto could’ve played the joker 100%. Who ever was over the design is who messed it up mostly.

#4- Cameron Monaghan in Gotham

I love this version and I love the show. They just made him a little different but unlike Jared Leto’s he is likeable. I don’t have too much to say about him, but I think it was well done by Cameron Monaghan and design wasn’t bad either.

#3 Joaquin Phoenix in Joker

I love love love this version. The only reason he isn’t higher up is because he isn’t a classic. He is new. I think Joaquin was the best actor they could’ve been casted for this. He played it out so well and the dedication he went through on set was crazy. I love the design they really brought it back to the classic Batman animated series type of suit. It isn’t your usually joker makeup, but I still really enjoyed that difference in it.

#2 Jack Nicholson in Batman ’89

I just love Jack Nicholson to be honest. The way he played Joker was more of the funny clown type of style. Back to the comics and original styles and I love that. When a show or movie is made the more, they base it to the comic’s accuracy the more ill love it.

#1 Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight

My all time favorite. Every popular quote from the joker came from this movie. Heath Ledger did a 10/10 job. Down to the costume, makeup, acting it was all so well done. It lured to more of the side of joker that wants power and that is obsessed with the Batman, and I love that because that’s what makes Joker. I also want to mention how dedicated Heath Ledger was during his time on set. This role messed up many actors mental and physical health, but they performed through it and deserve recognition. RIP to Heath Ledger.

some of my favorite radiohead songs ♫

yoyoyoyoyoyo !! so this blog isn’t planned, but i am listening to radiohead right now and it just felt like the right topic for this week’s post:) i love radiohead a lot, and i’ve been listening to them since i was a child, but this year i have listened to them more than any other year !! so here are some of my favorite tracks from the group of ones i’ve discovered recently !!

jigsaw falling into place

i can never decide if this is my favorite radiohead song or if it’s the daily mail. but regardless of the placement, i am absolutely crazy about this song. the instrumentals are perfectly lined up with each other and i don’t see this in any other song. maybe i’m just glorifying it because i love it, but who cares. it’s also a super fun song to play on gutiar !! also,,, thom’s voice<3 his voice sounds so different in this song and i’m totally for it.

the daily mail

this is the song i’ve accepted as being my favorite, as it is absolutely perfect. it has a beautiful buildup to the end of the song, which is nothing short of euphoric. i first heard it on ozark, as it was playing when i walked in on my parents watching the show. i had never heard this song before because it was released as a single, and it was one of their newer songs. (if 2016 is new). the piano in the intro is so sweet, but the ending is so rewarding.

spectre

this one has recently become a favorite. it sounds like it is going to be incredibly slow and depressing, but for me its the opposite. its bittersweet. especially when the backing beat comes in at “my hunger burns”. for some reason this one just calms me, and it makes me smile. i think for most people, it’s the opposite. also, the strings. i am absolutely in love with the strings in this song. normally strings make me emotional, but the strings here make me fearful, terrified. yet, i’m still calmed.

exit music (for a film)

this is a pretty popular one, but i still love it. though, i prefer the former half of the song to the later, despite the ending being a perfect way to tie the song together. i’ve been listening to this for years, and it still is so rewarding to hear it kick in at the end. i think i might know every single lyric and every single noise in this song, so much so that i could play it in my head entirely without actively listening to it. yeah. it’s cool.

so yeah, another short blog. was pretty fun. thanks for reading.

My Favorite Fitness Influencers At The Moment

My Favorite Fitness Influencers at The Moment

Hi guys! Today’s blog is about my obsession with gym influencers and keep in mind I watch all of them on TikTok as well as Instagram. Kristine and Leana both have YouTube channels as well if you want to go check those out.

@Kristineqfit is my favorite female fitness influencer right now, maybe even my favorite female influencer in general. She’s literally at the top of her game. I support her, because she focuses on a lot of things, I’m focusing on which is essentially just getting stronger. She also focuses heavily on legs, mainly glutes and quads but she does do calves as well. She works out every part of her body, but she does have main focuses. She is also trying to grow her arms which is something I’m struggling with. It’s good to follow someone who gives tips and advice for the thing you’re trying to work on. I also look at her page a lot for motivation, and tutorials for new workouts.

My next favorite is @Jeremiahtwharton, because he shows you the “impossible.” He’s come a very long way in a short amount of time, but his workouts and results are still very realistic. He also has a workout partner MarilinLopez29, and this is relevant, because she does the same exact workouts as him and her body looks amazing but totally different from his. She gives the female results of the workouts they do, which is very educational.

My next favorite is @leanadeeb, because her body shape is the most similar to mine. It’s not exactly like mine, but she focuses on gaining weight like I do. I like her as well, because she’s gaining but still lean and has abs. Kristine has a flat stomach but no abs. There’s nothing wrong with not having abs when trying to gain, but that’s why I like them both. Even though it may seem like they do the same things they are so different. Kristine is trying to gain any muscle weight possible, while Leana is trying to gain and be lean still. I also really enjoy her curly hair content. It gives me ideas of how to keep my hair intact while working out, so I don’t sweat my curls out. She also promotes healthy eating, which is something I want to do more of.

My last favorite fitness influencer is @brissaslifts, because she’s small and compact, but she’s an absolute powerhouse. She’s all muscle, no fat. Her arms are very strong, and her back is super defined and toned. Her legs are very strong as well, but especially her quads. She doesn’t focus on legs too much, because she’s genetically gifted in that area, so she focuses mostly on arms, chest, and back. Her body type isn’t at all similar to mine, but I still enjoy seeing her writing process.

Bottom Five Marvel Movies/Shows

Okay, I had made a post weeks ago about my top favorite movies and shows in the MCU and I had planned for this post sooner but I kept forgetting. Well, now we’re here and again this may be updated later as I haven’t seen everything just yet. For this one, I know this list will be a very controversial opinion and some may be mad at me for some of my choices. The list is not me saying that I didn’t like them, it is simply that when listing all of them from the ones I liked best to the ones I liked the least, these would come on the bottom of that list. So with that being said, here’s my least favorite movies/shows and this was not an easy decision either because like I said I don’t hate or dislike any of these, there are just so many I would put before these.

  1. Thor: The Dark World

photo from: Slash Film

When I said it would be a controversial opinion, I wasn’t referring to this one, because I know there are a lot of people would put it on their list for least favorites, too. With that being said, I still feel like it’s an underrated movie, because this shows Thor and Loki’s relationship starting to develop and we see how much Frigga(Thor and Loki’s mother) meant to Loki and how much it hurt him to lose her.

    2. WandaVision

Wait, wait, hear me out. Again, just my opinion. I know this is a lot of people’s favorite or one of their favorites, but for me, the plot development was a little slow. I know it was supposed to be so the viewers kinda have to keep watching it to understand what happens, but honestly didn’t really like that. But, that’s not to say that I didn’t like the way it ended. Yes, Wanda lost her kids and husband, but I liked the character development and that the viewers kinda wonder “Is she a villain or not?” I say yes and no. I’m not gonna explain, if you watched the show, hopefully you understand why I say that. Also, Darcy is one of the best characters and I loved that they kept her throughout the MCU and not just in the Thor movies.

    3.Spider Man: Homecoming

Again, hear me out. I know so many people LOVE Spider Man, but he’s not really my cup of tea. Now, there isn’t anything in particular that I didn’t like about the movie, there are just so many in the MCU that I would put before this in a heart beat. I think its safe to say that Peter was simply Tony’s unofficially adopted child, because I did really loved how much of a father figure Tony was for Peter. Another controversial opinion: Andrew Garfield was the best Spider Man, and no one can convince me otherwise.

   4. Captain Marvel

Now, with this one, I don’t really know what exactly it is about this movie that has moved me to put it on the list, but here it is. One thing I really liked about it is that this is the film in which Nick Fury first gets the idea of assembling the Avengers. I also liked that it was kinda a dystopian because there was injustice for a particular alien species but Carol didn’t know and thought the ones she was fighting alongside with were the good guys when they really weren’t.

   5. Thor

I put this one on the list for pretty much the same reason as I had put Thor: The Dark World on the list. It wasn’t the best Thor movie by any means, but like TTDW, it was still needed in terms of the plot and it showed a lot of why Loki showed resentment towards Odin and vise versa.

Anyways, that’s all my least favorite MCU movies, I know some of these choices are probably not what you may have expected, and I know a lot don’t agree with some of them, but these are just my opinion.

I hope you enjoyed, see you next week:)

Best Study Spots on Campus

This blog is going to be revealing some of the best study spots on Msa’s campus. I don’t study at all, but these are places that I go to get work done when necessary. I personally don’t like working in my dorm, because there are so many distractions, and I just cannot block them out. Therefore, I go to other places on campus like the ones I’ve listed below. I hope you enjoy. See you next week!

  1. The Swings

I love the swings. They are very relaxing, and the rocking helps stimulate my brain and helps me focus. Studying on the swings always helps me get a lot of work done. It’s a fun way to encourage yourself to accomplish different things. The wind in my hair, dirt under my feet, looking out at the world. That’s fun to me, because sometimes you just have to go somewhere where nothing is happening. Some people may think it’s boring, but sometimes you have to put yourself into a “boring” environment in order to be productive. Clearing your head is a must so that you can be able to tune into the task you’re trying to complete, and the swings allow me to do that.

2. Outside in the grass in front of J.I.

Another place I love to study is sitting outside in the grass in front of J.I. I always bring my blanket that I made in head start when I was younger. It has officially become my picnic blanket. Its green on one side, pink on the other and has white daises all over it. It also has ties all around the perimeter. That blanket alone puts me in a mood to do good things, because it reminds me of how far I’ve come in this world and makes me think about how far I’m going to go. It basically encourages me to work. I also love tumbling in the grass while taking a break from studying. That makes me happy, and keeps me awake, and not bored.

3. Library

The library is also a good place for me to study, because it’s quiet. Sometimes you just need complete silence to reset and recharge. Too much noise or movement can distract you from the task at hand so it’s important to know what type of environment you work best in. That can also help you figure out where the best place to study is.

4. The Phoenix

I love studying in the Phoenix, but sometimes it gets so cold, and I love cold weather. The only problem with the temperature in the phoenix is that I adore cold weather, but it makes me very sleepy. I still get a good amount of work done, but I can never stay down there too long, or I’ll get tired and that’s not good when I’m trying to get my work done.

why i love seki from goodnight punpun

hiiii i totally have ideas for this blog yeah woo uhuh. anyways. i’m going to be doing a short post about my favorite character from goodnight punpun, masumi seki. this character is even at the top of my kin list. i don’t have a kin list, but if i did, i’m sure he would be up there.

general information

seki was introduced in the first book and was apparent throughout the entire series, but more so towards the middle and end. he is a middle school graduate who skipped high school because he believed book smarts would only help him become a con artist. we’re off to a great start, i know. he has a scar on his nose that he’s had since the beginning of the series, but the origin of it is unknown. he’s best friends with shimizu and is often cold and rough in dialogue. he also has a phobia of fire from an incident at a miso factory, which happens in the first book.

personality

the reason why i feel so closely connected to seki is because of his personality and the way he thinks. he often self-sabotages in his own head, all the time, which is something i believed i was alone in doing. from a young age, seki has had low self esteem. his tough disposition and willingness to fight is compensation for this. early in the series, we see elementary drawings of student’s mothers done by the said students. it pans to seki’s drawing, and his is the smallest of them all, a reflection of how he felt about himself. for someone whose highest level of education is middle school, seki’s thoughts often take a philosophical direction. this internal monologue often depresses him. to distract him from his own head, he applies for many jobs throughout the course of the series.

connection

i have a deep connection to this character. this was the first time my thought patterns and habits were represented in any form of media, and it shocked me. it was something i was almost certain was exclusive to me. and though it was a system shock to learn it wasn’t, it was relieving, as it is an unhealthy habit. i find myself going back and forth on the same subjects as him, just for the both of us to land on the meaningless. i’ve always been a fan of the colder disposition with underlying emotions trope, and that is exactly what seki is.

thanks for reading this post !! this was pretty fun, i love talking about this character. to end things, here’s one of my favorite panels from the series !! cya next week<3 !

Completed Reads pt 2

Okay, so last week I had made a post about Natasha Preston’s The Fear, and this week I’m posting about Jenny Elder Moke’s Curse of the Specter Queen.

Photo from: phil-buchanan.com

I know as little kids, we’re taught to never judge a book by its cover, but we’ll let it slide this time. So, what do you first notice when you see the cover and read the title in comparison to last week’s book talk? They look pretty different, don’t they? Well, they are. In fact, this is not a book I traditionally read, The Fear is a lot more like all the other books I had read. If you had read it or just my blog about it, yes, you probably should be worried about me. I know my family is. Not about me, but about “what I’m planning”. Anyways, but they are in fact different, from the setting, the plot, the genre. They aren’t polar opposites, but definitely not in the same category or subcategory. The Fear is a thriller murder mystery while Curse of the Specter Queen (we’ll just say CSQ for short) is a fantasy adventure.

Again, I’ll try my best to keep details as brief as possible because I do encourage you to read it, if this is the type of book you’d want to read.

So, CSQ is basically a female version of Indiana Jones with quite a few similarities. It is set in the 1920s in countryside Clemet and the main character, Samantha Knox, specializes in solving cyphers and riddles and works in an antique book shop. When she gets an old diary and a letter full of complex cyphers in the mail at the shop, she attempts to bring it to her boss. She gets back to find there are other ruthless men in search of the diary. The whole adventure takes Samantha, her best friend Joana, and her crush Bennet to Dublin, Ireland where they discover an order with a dark purpose- members of the Hellfire Club(no, not from Stranger Things, but that is kinda funny) seek to summon the Specter Queen, an ancient Celtic goddess of vengeance and death, and bring about a war unlike any other. It’s up to Samantha to solve a complex cypher and find a relic that is a key piece to the summoning ritual.

If I were to rate this book, it’d be a 4 out of 5. It was very detail-heavy and although a lot of parts needed that kind of detail, I felt that some could’ve had some left out and it would still be very good. Some parts were just slightly slow and boring. But, of course, that’s just my opinion and my ADD brain talking. If you enjoy books that have a lot of detail, then I definitely recommend.

But I did very much enjoy that it was very adventurous and it was very much like I was watching an Indiana Jones movie. I loved each of the characters and I think the author did a very good job at making each of their personalities distinct.

That is all I have to say for this book talk, I hope this has encouraged you to read it. See you next week:)

My favorite youtubers and the games I enjoy watching them play

My favorite youtubers and which game they play I enjoy most

Berleezy

My significant other got me into Berleezy several months back when we just got together. Ive been watching him since then. He plays a very large variety of games. Honestly im not sure what to pick for my most enjoyed. I would have to say it’s more of a certain game developer rather than one game. The developer is Chilla’s Art, and I enjoy watching Berleezy play those the most because they are much more underground.

Clare Shiobhan

I got hooked on this woman when I was 14. She is one of my top 3 favorites. Her channel mostly centers around Sims 4 content, which is the game I’m going to say is my favorite to watch. She did the not so berry challenge and that would have to be my favorite collection of her videos. I also really enjoyed her playthrough of Hackett’s Quarry. I binged both series for a long time.

https://www.youtube.com/c/ClareSiobhan

Markiplier

Of course, I had to add Mark. Everyone should’ve guessed he would be on here. We also probably know which series is my favorite, Five Nights at Freddy’s. I have rewatched the fnaf playlist too many times to count. Mark’s entire channel is a chef’s kiss.

Hailey Elizabeth

Hailey does almost everything on her channel regarding true crime. I like letting her videos play at night to go to sleep to or when I drive, I can listen to them. She covers true crime, serial killers, conspiracy theories, etc. I mainly enjoy watching her true crime videos, and she does her makeup while she talks, I enjoy watching her do that too.

Ranboo

Ranboo plays all kinds of games. It’s hard to only pick one. I enjoy Splatoon, Hackett’s quarry, and slime rancher the most. He is someone I watch mostly to pass time and let play in the back ground.

Completed Reads

I had previously made a post that listed a couple of my current reads. This post will be about the one I finally finished reading. These books are taking me longer to read than usual but I finally finished one of them.

This will be focused on Natasha Preston’s The Fear, and just as I had predicted before, it was definitely a nail-biting emotional roller coaster.

Photo is unavailable:(

One thing out of many that I like in Natasha’s books is that something almost immediately happens instead of making the reader wait with a slow build up. I promise to try to keep the details as brief as possible in case you may want to read it in which I definitely recommend it. But, if you don’t like cliffhangers, then I would recommend avoid reading almost any of Natasha Preston’s books. That is one of the main things she’s known for in her writing. I think she’s only ever written one series, but I didn’t read it. The only book that I have read that didn’t end in a cliffhanger is The Cellar, which was her first book. It’s also very good and one of my favorites:)

Anyways, I’m done chasing rabbits, back to talking about The Fear. The book is set in a small town in the dead of winter that was the origin of a viral meme post in which it asked what your worst fear was. Izzy, the main character, seems to be the only one refraining from reposting the meme sharing her worst fear. It was just a joke until Izzy finds that a few classmates had been killed in the same way they said they feared. She of course wishes to find the person responsible and comes across a few characters to try, or pretend to try, to help her. She soon goes deeper and deeper in the case to the point there is zero turning back as she’s about to be faced with her worst nightmare.

I could honestly talk about the book and how it made me feel from the first page to the last all day. But I don’t wanna spoil it too much because I would want y’all to read it first:)

But another thing I liked about the book is that it gave me a little bit of breathing room before the next big thing happened, otherwise I’d have no nails left to bite. Each plot twist, in my opinion, fit really well in the story. They weren’t the kind where in my head I’ll say “well, that doesn’t go well with the story”, like you’re almost finished with a puzzle and you have one piece left to put in it, but instead of putting the right piece in it, you took a piece of another puzzle and tried to force it in first puzzle.

I’m gonna give you a full warning, if you do choose to read it and I’m not trying to discourage you from doing so, but please don’t get too attached to any of the characters. For your heart’s sake, please don’t.

Anyways, That’s all I have to say on this book, hopefully I’ll be done with the other one I’ve talked about in another post by next week and make a post about it.

See you next week:)

Why is it hard to live a healthy lifestyle?

I feel like I say this in all my blogs, but once again this one is going to be real laid back.

I want to talk about weight and gym culture. I feel like weight is an extremely sensitive topic when it really shouldn’t be. People think of weight only in pounds and fat, but the most important part is really the distribution of it. People don’t realize that you can weigh 200 pounds and look tall and skinny. Then you can also weigh 200 pounds and be short and thick. The way the world thinks about weight makes it seem like such a negative topic when it’s not.

In my opinion what’s on the scale does not matter, because what even is a “normal” or “average” weight. Those things don’t exist to me, because everyone is so special that you can’t create a ‘norm’. In my opinion, what’s on the scale doesn’t really matter, because it doesn’t equate to what you look like in real life. As long as you’re healthy and your organs aren’t overworking themselves to perform their jobs, I feel like weight doesn’t matter. That comes with a stopping point because everything has an extent. I’m not saying it’s okay to not care about how much you weigh, but don’t overromanticize being a certain weight.

Me in particular, I work out almost every single day, but I’m not trying to lose weight, I’m trying to gain weight. I’m gaining it and it’s coming on fast too. My goal is to be strong. No matter how much I weigh, I want to look strong and feel good about my appearance. My main focus is weight gain, so I lift weights, but since I’m exercising to gain weight that weight that I’m gaining comes on as muscle not fat. Muscles weigh more than fat, therefore my numbers on the scale will go up even if I’m getting into better shape. I feel like there’s aa stigma around weight, exercise, and the scale. Everyone should exercise no matter how petite or thick they are. Exercise is for health not to look a certain way or to lose weight.

There is also this stupid myth that people only exercise to lose weight which simply isn’t true. Gym culture can be very toxic, especially for newcomers, because they are finding their way around. It can also be toxic, because around new year’s when everyone has their resolutions, everyone makes getting in the gym a goal. They start that goal in January and give up by March. The gym is not an easy thing to commit to. It takes a lot of hard work and effort. You will not always be motivated, but you must be disciplined. Don’t look at the gym as some sort of tiring chore that you hate looking forward to. Look at it as a peaceful time to better yourself, physically and mentally. I feel like people see so many things as chores and that makes them not want to do them. You have to romanticize things like going to the gym, eating healthy, or anything else that will improve your life.
