My Favorite SpongeBob Episode

Hey guys! For today’s blog I have no idea what to write about so I’m deciding on my favorite little cartoon/ tv show. Yep, you’ve guessed it, the show is SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob is probably the funniest thing I have ever watched on cable television. I can’t even begin to pick a favorite episode, but if I had to choose then I would pick the one where Squidward said he hated Krabby Patties then ended up eating all of them and had thunder thighs which then exploded.

Or maybe the one where SpongeBob and Patrick were chased all day simply because the man wanted some of the chocolate they were selling, but they convinced themselves the man was trying to kill them so continued running away and hiding for the entire episode ands at the end the man finally caught up to them and bought all their chocolate.

I could pick the episode where SpongeBob broke his handy dandy spatula. He took it to the hospital and did “surgery” on it, which consisted of wrapping it with tape and putting it in a wheelchair and it ended up breaking again. He ended up with a new high-tech one. The spatula talked and could control itself, but he didn’t know that, eventually he lost control of it, and it turned against him, beat him and cooked orders the way it wanted.

There was also an episode where SpongeBob was running around on the ceiling and the walls making Krabby patties as fast as possible and he was about to fall but his spatula got stuck between two pieces of wood and saved him but he got too comfortable and it slipped and he fell and got a splinter in his thumb, and instead of going to the doctor he kept trying to pull it out himself and almost knocked himself out. He asked Patrick and he pretended to be a doctor and poured garbage on top of it. Squidward scared him by saying that if Mr. Krabs saw it that he would put him on temporary probation and he wouldn’t be able to go to work and that broke his little spirit. SpongeBob ended up just avoiding Mr. Krabs by hiding in the bathroom all day and his wound got more infected until it was green and big as a balloon. Mr. Krabs eventually found him and all he did was remove the thorn/splinter, SpongeBob’s thumb deflated, and he went back to work.

I think my all-time favorite is the episode with Doodle Bob. That episode was unreal. If I remember correctly SpongeBob had doodled on a sheet of paper and I think Patrick got into his library and tore pages out of his books and Doodle Bob came off the page. He was an evil paper version of SpongeBob, and he was evil. He had this huge pencil, and he would draw and erase things off people in real life. He tortured SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and the whole town for some time. It was quite funny. In the end they catch him and slam the book down on him and he goes back onto the page.

That’s all for today guys, I hope this was entertaining, if not tell me in the comments, thanks, see ya next week!

Places I’d Love to Go

So, I have no other ideas for a blog, so this week I decided to post about places all over the world I would love to go. This list includes foreign countries and places in the U.S.; these places are listed in no particular order. There are some places that I would prefer to go in a particular season because I feel that greatly impacts the experience. Without further ado, let’s get into it:)

Austria

If you couldn’t tell by the pictures, if I ever go to Austria, it better be during Christmas. Christmas in Austria is absolutely beautiful; Austria in the winter is breathtaking. There are a few reasons why it’s been on list for places to go that don’t just include the fact that it’s such a beautiful place. One of the reasons include that the film The Sound of Music was filmed there and many things from  the movie are still there. The Sound of Music is a movie from 1965 starring Julie Andrews that my grandmother dearly loved and she had me watch it a long time ago, and I came to love it as well. Like I said, there are some elements from the movie that are still in Austria and that’s one of the main reasons I want to go there someday.

New York

Barnes & Noble - Wikipedia

So, based on the first photo, one of the main reasons I’d love to go is for the massive Barnes and Noble bookstore(that should not be a shocker). But also, I was born and raised in a very small southern town, so a dramatic change to one of the biggest cities in the U.S. would be nice. Would I ever become a city girl? Never. But, for a short time, being in NY would be an awesome experience. I know that there’s also a lot of history in NY, so that’s another reason I’d love to go someday.

Paris, France

This tends to be one of the most popular places to want to take a vacation and for good reason, too. Would I want to live there? No, but I want to take a long vacation there. There are so many landmarks to want to see like Notre Dame and the Louvre Museum; I have always been a big fan of French architecture and art for as long as I can remember.

Sicily, Italy

I love Italy, and especially Sicily. I’m very partial to Sicily because I had a great-grandmother who is from there. Out of all the places that I’ve listed so far, Sicily is by far the place I’ve wanted to go to the longest; there are just so many things I love about it. The architecture, for one, is beautiful; even the ruins of centuries-old buildings are beautiful. The beaches there are also absolutely breathtaking, I’ve always loved the beach and I’ll go every time I get the chance to. Of every reason I’ve listed, the main reason I want to go is to get in touch with some family roots and to be in the place my family once was.

Anyways, that’s all the places I’d love to go on vacation and I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. See you guys next week<3

an ode to jeff buckley

i’ve decided to make my music odes a series, and for the second artist in the series, i have decided to focus in on the music, rather than the details of his life and how he grew prominent in the music industry. jeff buckley is an artist that devastatingly took over my life within a matter of a couple weeks. his influence on my own art has been prominent ever since that first listen. his voice, his writing, his demeanor- all have contributed to my own growth as a human. not only has he contributed to the inspiration and life of millions of teenagers like me, but he has changed the music industry and even what we define as masculine. please allow me to introduce an ode to jeff buckley.

music in genetics: the upbringing of jeff buckley

jeff buckley was born in anaheim, california, to the musician tim buckley and his ex-wife, mary guilbert. jeff’s father, tim, set the path for the musician’s life, cementing the idea of creating in his head from an early age. however, jeff was not raised by his own father, but instead his stepfather along with his mother. he lived in california with his half-brother during an upbringing he titled “rootless trailer trash.” before his biological father’s death, jeff went by scott moorhead. after his father’s passing, he changed his last name to buckley and chose to go by his biological first name, jeff. even though he was not brought up around his father for a large portion of his life, he still had so much musical influence around him. his mother was a pianist and cellist and his stepfather introduced him bands like led zeppelin, pink floyd, jimi hendrix, and the who. at 12, he decided to start creating his own music, and received his first guitar at age 13. throughout high school, he played in different bands and developed a love for progressive rock. after he graduated, he attended the musicians institute for one year, later claiming it was “the biggest waste of time.”

the anticipation of a masterpiece: life before grace

before releasing his album, grace- which we will spend more than enough time talking about later in the blog- jeff passed his time in many smaller unrecognized bands before going solo. for six years after attending the musicians institute, jeff worked in a hotel while playing guitar in various bands that stretched across a large number of genres. throughout different trips to new york, jeff began writing the songs “mojo pin” and “grace,” two songs that would later be featured on grace. he then began to perform at small venues solo and started getting heavy attention from different record label executives. buckley then signed with columbia records and set off on recording his first EP, which would include four songs and a cover of van morrison’s “the way that young lovers do.”

grace: the masterpiece

in august of 1994, buckley’s first and only studio album, grace, was released. it featured the following songs: mojo pin, grace, last goodbye, lilac wine, so real, hallelujah, lover you should’ve come over, corpus christi carol, eternal life, and dream brother. the album has been claimed to be one of the greatest of all time, and is listed in rolling stones’ top 500 albums of all time. the album has also achieved platinum 8x in australia and was ranked 99 in a list of the top 1,000 albums of all time. buckley’s voice is like no other, not even his father’s, and his writing transcends the hot topics of the 90s that other musicians at the time were still infatuated with. songs like “lover, you should’ve come over” have proven to overstep time, as its popularity is still prevalent in society today. “grace” will forever be known as buckley’s magnum opus, even gaining attention from folk music legend, bob dylan- who claimed buckley to be “one of the greatest songwriters of this decade.”

last goodbye: the end of jeff buckley, the beginning of the legacy

while swimming in the wolf river harbor- contained within the mississippi river- jeff buckley passed away due to an accidental drowning. he was 30 years old. after his death, numerous collections were released, including many previously unreleased songs. his life and work have been celebrated over the years, even gaining attraction recently from his song “lover, you should’ve come over.” his name has been referenced in a wide variety of films, and musicians today continue to draw inspiration from his unique sound and voice. jeff buckley will forever be an artist that completely changed how i interpret music, and now i’d like to introduce him to you too. here is “lilac wine.”

“lilac wine is sweet and heady, like my love”

My favorite horror movies

Hi. So I’m very lost on ideas at the moment, BUT here are my favorite horror movies. 1-3 and number 5 contain 5-7 movies in the series, so I am only going to explain the plot of the first movie in each series. Most of these movies you already know. They are quite popular and classic. Maybe I’m basic but I enjoy classic horror movies like slashers.

  1. Scream

Scream has been one of my favorite horror movies since I was almost 12. It is a series of 6 movies. They also had a show on MTV that you can now find on Netflix. The movie was written by Kevin Williamson originally, but later by Ehren Kruger, James Vanderbilt, and Guy Busick. The main plot of the first Scream movie follows Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). She sees a series of murders around her town taking place. All kids from the same school she attends. Later in the movie the killer is after Sidney. Throughout the next 4 movies, the killer’s motive is still to kill Sidney.

  1. Friday the 13th

I didn’t grow a love for this movie until I played the video game. I played this game on xbox for the first time when I was 14, and then watched all of the movies. I had previously only seen the first movie. In the plot of the first movie camp counselors decide to open and set up their summer camp knowing of the history of murder. Camp Crystal Lake is a large camp with a nice lake in a very woodsy area known for murders. They are warned by superstitious locals but the young, ignorant counselors go ahead to the camp. Jack (Kevin Bacon, Alice (Adrianne King), Bill (Harry Crosby), Marcie (Jeannie Taylor), and Ned (Mark Nelson) are stalked by a brutal killer. They struggle to stay alive as they are harmed in various ways by the merciless killer

  1. Saw

The saw movies are one of my all-time favorites. I love gore factored movies, but I also love psychological movies, and this fits so perfectly. A photographer, Adam Stanheight (Leigh Whannell), and oncologist, Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) wake up in a filthy bathroom both chained to pipes at either end of the room. They realize they’ve been taken by the sadistic killer “Jigsaw” and must complete his puzzle to make it out alive. Meanwhile, Dr. Gordons wife and child are being forced to watch the torture he is endured to via closed-circuit video. That is the basic plotline, but there is so much more to it. If you haven’t watched these, I definitely recommend you do! Unless you have a weak stomach…then you may wanna sit this one out.

  1. The Visit

I watched this movie when I was around 12 so it is a classic movie for me. It was made by M. Night Shyamalan so you know it’s going to be a good watch. I recommend any of the movies he has made they are so good. In the movie 2 children are supposed to spend the weekend at their grandparents house while their mom took a vacation with her boyfriend. The eldest sister, Becca (Olivia DeJonge), decides to film a documentary during their stay. She intends to make this documentary to help her mother reconnect with her family. I do not want to spoil it very much, but the grandmother has Sundowners with a side effect of advanced Alzheimer’s. Their grandfather has severe schizophrenia. The term “sundowning” refers to a state of confusion occurring in the late afternoon and lasting into the night. Sundowning can cause different behaviors, such as confusion, anxiety, aggression or ignoring directions. Sundowning can also lead to pacing or wandering.

  1. Paranormal Activity

This movie falls along the category of a found footage film. It is a low budget documentary, and it is not very long either. Each movie is pretty much the same with different occurrences, and you learn about the family. Soon after moving into a suburban tract home, Katie (Katie Featherston) and Micah (Micah Sloat) become increasingly disturbed by what appears to be a supernatural presence. Hoping to capture evidence of it on film, they set up video cameras in the house. From there you just watch what happened through this video camera footage.

My To-Read List

While at school, I don’t have much time to read anymore. However, summer is coming up and I want to jump back into reading again, so I’ve been compiling a very short list of books I want to read. Feel free to suggest any good books you know of.

They Both Die At The End

This is one I’ve heard about for a few years now and I’ve on purposely stayed away from it. Just like the title says, we know both of the main characters will not make it. Knowing this from the start braces you for what’s to come, but also is so incredibly depressing because you know that no matter what, this will end a tragedy. I stayed away from this book because I knew it was going to be sad, but now I’m ready to get my heart broken by it.

The Poison Apple Series

I was reminded of this series when me and my roommate were talking about old, childhood books we read. I remember reading these in fourth or fifth grade and I absolutely loved them at the time. So I decided that I’m going to indulge in my nostalgia and reread all of them over the summer. I know the writing is not going to be anywhere as good as I remember, but I’m reading them for fun, not for quality.

Dracula

This classic most people have read or seen before. I believe I have seen this a few times as either a play or movie adaptation, but I have never read from the original text. A few years back I decided to read some of the commonly known classics because my homeschool program never had me read books that were typically assigned in school. So I read the Great Gatsby and Frankenstein and enjoyed those. Dracula was next on my list, although I never got around to reading it. Now, I want to finally mark it off my list.

My controversial opinions

So in my blogs, I’ve mainly focused on my love for reading and I’ve touched on my experience with having ADHD. But this time, I’m going back to talking about another obsession of mine: Marvel. And I’ve talked about my favorite films and characters, and now I want to talk about some controversial opinions that I have. Because they’re controversial, I know that there are some who won’t agree and that’s okay. Whether or not you watch any of the Marvel movies, this may or may not be of interest to you. But, without further ado, let’s get into this.

1. Bucky was NEVER the villain!

I know, it’s not at all a shocker that he’s the first thing that I mention. He is my absolute favorite for a number of reasons, one of which is that he was absolutely NOT the villain at any point. It always upsets me when people say that he’s one of their favorite villains or whatever, and I hear that a lot. Bucky is a VICTIM! A villain chooses to do horrible things, and Bucky did not choose to do the things he did. He was brainwashed and literally forced to do Hydra’s dirty work. Was he ever what is considered a traditional hero? No, but that doesn’t make him a villain.

Here is a scene that shows that even though he did horrible things, it was not by choice.

2. Loki’s actions in the first Avengers movie weren’t justified.

I know that Loki is a popular favorite villain(an actual villain), and I love Loki, too. But even though he went through a rough childhood and backstory, that did not justify what he did in The Avengers. Every one of us goes through a really rough time in our lives(and if you haven’t yet, you will) and every villain comes with a terrible backstory, but not all of us decide to murder hundreds of people because of it. Loki allowed that anger towards Odin turn him into this very dark and hateful person. Now, this is not at all me saying that what happened to him wasn’t wrong because Lord knows he was mistreated by Odin. With all of that being said about him, even though in the beginning of his story he was in fact the villain, I am very glad that his character has changed and evolved.

3. Last but not least for this part, Steve Rogers deserved his ending!

*I had to include two videos bc I couldn’t find one that showed the entirety of the end scene from Avengers: Endgame.

Is it sad that Steve Rogers is no longer Captain America? Absolutely. But after everything that he did before and after he went in the ice, he deserved some sort of retirement. He took the opportunity to go back to living the life that he deserved to live. Was it a little selfish? In my opinion, yes, but he had a right to be selfish. The reason I say that is because he has spent so many years fighting and sacrificing for everyone around him that he had to put his own wants last. This was his happy ending that he deserved.

That’s all I have to bother you with this time. Will I do another one later? Maybe. In the next week or two? Probably not. But anyways, I hope that you’ve enjoyed this post and even though you might or might not agree with these opinions about Marvel, I hope that you at least understand why I feel this way. See y’all next week:)

an ode to car seat headrest

car seat headrest is a band i was introduced to in march of 2022. i vividly remember checking my discover weekly on spotify and seeing the band and their song “it’s only sex” on the playlist. i had heard of them before, so i decided to check them out by listening to the song featured on the playlist. i remember thinking that the band sounded not at all like i had expected, so i went to their artist page and listened to the song “sober to death.” something happened when i listened to that song, and i immediately became obsessed with the band in its entirety. in that same night, i explored the majority of their discography and sparked a love that i am still feeling to this day. even now, when i hear “sober to death,” a certain part of me is awakened, something that rarely happened before i found the band. this week’s blog is an ode to car seat headrest: the band that changed me.

a teenager dancing in his dorm to his own song; will toledo and the early albums

car seat headrest was originally composed of one member, will toledo, who started the band when he graduated high school. the name stems from the place where he recorded most of his music: his car. he released four albums, named in order as 1, 2, 3, and 4. while 1 and 2 had a lack of structure, and displayed toledo’s experimentation in the early days of the band, 3 and 4 showed his later developed indie style. he would go on the release the “sunburned shirts ep,” followed by the album “my back is killing me baby,” which would include the song “something soon.” a student at virginia commonwealth university, toledo decided to record a music video by setting up a camera in his dorm and dancing to his own song. the video is a testament to the transition between teenage emotions and adulthood expectations, and has never failed at making someone like me- who is in between those stages- emotional. this is something toledo has proven to master in his music: raw emotion in relation to teenage development. however, it wouldn’t be until his release of arguably his magnum opus, “twin fantasy,” that people would start to take notice.

teenage love, dog motifs, and the start of something big

after transferring to william & mary, toledo found himself in the midst of a confusing and messy relationship. he found this relationship weaving its way into his music, and in 2011, he compiled those thoughts together and released the album “twin fantasy.” the album cover itself is notable, as it is two dog-like figures holding each other in an optical illusion. the album follows the interactions and love/hatred between toledo and his lover at the time. the album gained a cult following, and soon the band would follow up in 2018 with a re-recording of the album, now with three other members: ethan ives (guitar), andrew katz (drums), and seth dalby (bass). with this release, the album gained an even larger following. the original 2011 recording of the album is regarded as the “mirror to mirror” version, whereas the 2018 recording is the “face to face” version. depending on the recording, the album cover switches orientation. just a year before the rerelease of twin fantasy, toledo and the band released the albums, “monomania,” “disjecta membra,” “nervous young man,” “teens of style,” and “teens of denial,”- the last of which shot the band up in popularity once again.

making a door less open and sudden change; the future of car seat headrest

after the release of the face to face version of twin fantasy, the band set off to finally create new songs again. because the songs on twin fantasy were already previously created, the last album the band worked on and created together was 2016’s teens of denial, making a brand new album overdue. in 2020, the band announced the studio album “making a door less open.” this album introduced the character “trait” to the band, sparking will’s future of dressing up as the character at live shows. along with the announcement, the band released “can’t cool me down” as a single. the style difference between teens of denial and making a door less open are drastic- the band trading out their traditional indie-rock instrumentation for more hints of electronic and edm in their music. once released, the album received poor reviews, most fans upset about the sudden change in style. others argue that the change was executed perfectly and welcomed the new style the band had adopted. songs like “there must be more than blood” have been praised by fans of the band, even securing an acoustic version on youtube. while on tour in 2022, lead singer will toledo developed long covid and canceled a large number of shows. as of now, it is not apparent whether will has fully recovered, but with the amount of time it’s been, it is likely that he is still dealing with issues from the illness. the band is rumored to release a new album within the next two years.

crying during class, dancing alone in my room, and finding true acceptance; my experience with the band and their music

after finding the band in 2022, i went through an emotional rollercoaster. i’ve had many moments where i’ve found myself in music, but never has it happened quite like it did with car seat headrest (except of course elliott smith). i found a sense of belonging in the awkwardly-written teenage lines of twin fantasy, and i found happiness in between the sparkly guitars of teens of denial. in april of 2022, i prepared myself to see the band live. however, due to will’s sickness, the show was canceled and would not be rescheduled. emotionally, i was a wreck: before and after this. those previous and upcoming months i spent every second of the day listening to the band’s music. i remember distinctly arriving at school, sitting in the corner of the gym and listen to “something soon” on repeat while silently sobbing only to come home that day and listen to it again- this time dancing the cries out. after a couple obsessive months, i slowly fell out of the habits i developed around the band. it’s been a quite bit of time since i’ve distanced myself from their music: an uncomfortable quiet- the quiet before a breakdown that cements itself in your memories. with a declining mental state comes the revisitation of car seat headrest. that’s not to say you can’t listen to the band during any other state, if anything, the band covers all bases. to mirror this idea, and to close the blog, i’d like to introduce the song “beach life-in-death,” the climax of a song series dating back to the numbered albums. please, allow yourself to listen to this song.. in its 13 minute glory ..and feel every emotion this band has made me feel over the past year. enjoy, and goodbye.

side note: as writers, we must explore all forms of writing, even in the song medium. please, notice the writing as you listen to the song, and let me know what you got from it.

we said we hated humans,

we wanted to be human.

Songs I’m Obsessed With

Hi guys!!! I’m back for this week’s blog and if I’m being honest, I’m really running out of ideas, but I don’t think I’ve done a music related post yet. In this blog I’ll be talking about some songs on my playlist that I have been wearing out. I listen to all genres of music so I pretty much listen to anything, but this is a specific genre of music and it’s mostly 70’s and 80’s bands, but one of them may be in the 90’s I don’t know if I’m going to include it or not though. This music is heavy metal, hard rock, and pop metal mostly.

  1. The first band is AC/DC

Highway to hell is a song I hold near and dear to my heart. It came out in 1979 and I’ve known about it for a while but have recently become obsessed with it. Coincidently I usually listen to it while driving which is so funny to me. This song is so freeing to me, and I love the beginning. “Livin’ easy
Lovin’ free”

This makes me feel like I have no care in the world and I’m just living and enjoying life.

“No stop signs
Speed limit
Nobody’s gonna slow me down
Like a wheel
Gonna spin it
Nobody’s gonna mess me around”

This is my song I play while driving home so I’m usually on the highway and this song makes me feel unstoppable. There are no traffic lights, there is a speed limit, but most people usually ignore it.

“I’m on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I’m on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
Don’t stop me”

Then finally the chorus kicks in and I start to feel like I’m in a rock band myself. I’m beating on the steering wheel and shaking my head back and forth, it’s such a liberating feeling and at the end when it says “don’t stop me” it makes me think of the police.

  1. The second band is Bon Jovi

I think it’s safe to say they are my favorite band of all time. Bed of roses is my favorite song they’ve ever produced. From the rhythm to the lyrics, and emotions I just love everything about this song.

“Sitting here wasted and wounded
At this old piano
Trying hard to capture
The moment this morning I don’t know”

The beginning starts slow and steady speaking about him trying to get over a hangover the next morning and it makes you wonder why he was drunk in the first place.

“’Cause a bottle of Vodka’s still lodged in my head
And some blonde gave me nightmares
Think that she’s still in my bed
As I dream about movies
They won’t make of me when I’m dead”

Then it shifts to him talking about a random woman he probably had a one-night stand with and the movies they won’t make about him is probably because he doesn’t think he’s good enough to have his own movie which really uncovers my own self-doubt and helps me to release it.

“I want to lay you down in a bed of roses
For tonight I’ll sleep on a bed of nails
Oh I want to be just as close as the Holy Ghost is
And lay you down on a bed of roses”

This song makes me think a lot about my significant other and how I would do anything for them so sleeping on a bed of nails while they slept on a bed of roses wouldn’t even require thought from me, I would just do it. The holy ghost brings a religious feature in here and shows how close he wants to be with his partner who isn’t with him at the moment. That line is contradicting the entire song because he’s trying to express how much he loves and cares for her while he’s cheating on her with the blonde woman.

Affordable makeup products!

As everyone knows we are in a time of inflation. Beauty products are dealing with an average of 10% price increase every year since this inflation. I want to review 10 Walmart makeup products that are affordable during this time. Inflations happens everywhere so these products are up, but it’s better than 50-dollar foundation from Ulta Beauty. All products are at walmart!

  1. Milani conceal and perfect foundation

I bought this foundation for only $8.97 and it was a steal. I traded using this foundation for my Morphe foundation. It was a hundred times better. This specific foundation is full coverage, and it serves the title of full coverage. It’s smooth, and doesn’t cake on like other full coverage foundations. I have had the one bottle for several months, because it doesn’t use much to get the full coverage effect. This foundation is only for the people who like a matte look rather than glossy.

  1. Revolution pore blur primer

This is my everyday primer and only for $8. This primer will smooth out your pours instantly. It also doesn’t dry up like most primers, so you can use less than needed. My makeup clings to this primer very well and lasts an entire day of activities. I used it to go to a festival and my makeup looked like I just finished it at the end of the day.

  1. Milani make it last setting spray

The full bottle is slightly pricey at $13.97. If you buy the smaller bottle it is only $8.97. I live by this setting spray. I use it just as I did the primer. I wore it to the same festival and my makeup didn’t melt off even in the 85 degree heat. I still had the perfect full coverage matte look. It kept all of my makeup layers in place and perfect at the end of the day.

  1. Maybelline superstay vinyl ink lip stick

These are good lip sticks for only $9.99. I always use this lip stick, and if I have the money on my Walmart trips I pick up a new color. It stays glossy all day with no transfer. Like all lipsticks, it does ware off after several hours. I noticed it did take a long day of talking, eating, and sweating before it started transferring and needing a new application.

  1. Rimmel London natural bronzer

This product is an absolute steal at Walmart. It costs only $3.97. I use this bronzer every time I apply makeup. It has a small amount of glitter for a very nice effect in your bronzer. I am a very pale person so finding a bronzer light enough can be hard, but this bronzer comes in lighter shades, perfect for pale skin.

  1. NYX epic wear eyeliner

I live by this eyeliner. I recommend it to anyone who asks. It costs $9.97 in Walmart. This eyeliner will NOT come off. It is waterproof, but I swear I tattooed it on. It wont smudge, melt, smear, or move until wiped off. Makeup wipes won’t do the trick either. This is one downside to this eyeliner. You must have a makeup melting balm to get it off. I panicked the first time I used it because it would not come off. NYX created a similar eyeliner called that’s the point. I recommend using that one if you do not have a melting balm.

  1. Maybelline Shadow Blocks

I would consider this product pricy for what it is, but I love it. It costs $9.97. It is a small block consisting of three eye shadows. I love this item because it is very portable if you go out a long time and may need to fix your makeup. It is a small block, and you lift each tile for the next shadow. It typically consists of two matte shadows and one shimmer shadow.

  1. NYX Vivid brights eyeliner

This eyeliner is for people who love a pop of color. It is $8.97. The vivid brights collection is an assortment of colorful liquid eyeliners. These are also water proof but easier to get off your eyes. Typically in colored eye liners they are watery and barely show, but the vivid brights live up to their name. I did an entirely pink makeup look with them and they showed so well. These liners come in a large variety of colors.

  1. Wet n Wild hello halo highlighter

These highlighters cost $9.37. They are worth the purchase. Whether you get the liquid or powder version you are definitely going to shine. They show up perfectly unlike some highlighters that barely shine. If you get the powder version I recommend using an eyeshadow brush and spraying the brush with a little bit of your setting spray. This helps the highlighter stack and really glow. Hello halo does not need that at all, but it is a good tip if you use a highlighter that doesn’t show enough.

  1. Duo eye lash glue

This eye lash glue for your falsies costs $5.12. It comes in 11 different varieties depending on your preferences. All varieties still cost only $5.12. Typical false eye lash glue usually starts failing very quickly. The inner or outer corner of your lashes always pops off and stabs you in the eye. If you buy duo glue your lashes are not leaving your eye or even moving until you pull them off. My lashes last all day without touch ups using duo glue. I personally use the green packaged glue because it is the brush wand one, easier application.

What Would My Dream Room Look Like

My bedroom is the place where I spend most of my time, so it needs to be a comfortable, cozy place for me to relax. I have specific ideas for how I want my room to feel. I don’t know if my room would have an exact “aesthetic”, but to describe it overall, I would say I lean towards a cozy vibe. Anyways, here’s how I would decorate my dream room.

Big Windows

I know this isn’t exactly “decor”, but I would love to have big windows to let in as much natural light as possible. I love to open my curtains or blinds during the morning and keep them open until after dark. There’s something so nice about having the sun brighten your space. Because I also do most of my artwork in my room, I like to have as much light as I can in order to properly see my piece.

Art Space

Even though I would love my own studio, I usually settle on working in my room. I usually have a little set up for all my artistic needs, however, I would love to have a big enough room to be able to have an art corner by a window. That way I can have my art desk, easel, and any other art supplies I need.

Plants

I, of course, need to have all my plants. They would mainly be different types of succulents with a few low light plants in the mix. There would be a plant stand or two around the window along with hanging pots. I can’t promise I can keep them all alive, but I will try my best.

Posters

I’m not a particular fan of bare walls, so I like to cover them with posters. Actually, there are only a few posters, most of them are bits of artwork that I like taped to the wall. Some of it is my own work, others are postcards, playbills, art from magazines, or anything else that I like.

Knick knacks

Recently, I’ve been getting into collecting small things. Some of the things I collect are jars, rocks, buttons, and little ceramic figures. I even make little, cute ceramic bowls in my ceramic class. In order to hold all my little knick knacks, I need to have bookshelves and floating shelves along the wall. This way, I’ll be able to have my little collections on display.

Plushies

I’ve been collecting stuffed animals since I was little, and this habit surprisingly never stopped, even though I’m eighteen now. In my dream room, my plushies would be lined up on my bed, but also hung up in a stuff animal net. It may have to be two nets because I do have a lot.
