So, while looking though my google docs for something to use for this week’s blogs and I thought this might make so of y’all laugh or something I don’t know. Have fun reading this, I guess.

In the future I want to be a writer. When it comes to writing you experience things on a deeper level. With S.T.E.A.M., I was able to learn beyond the mere transfer of pencil to paper.  I was engaged with critical thinking problem solving, and also tapped into my creative side of writing.  I learned how to evolve the many characters throughout the stories.  

I really enjoyed the S.T.E.A.M. program.  I enjoyed the way the teachers challenged me to think outside of the box and tap into my creativity.  I really love the experiments we did in class.  I also enjoyed the information we learned in astrocamp, get to move, and leadership class.

I don’t really remember what I made this for, but I think I might’ve had fun writing this, but I really need something for this week’s blog, so I put this together for y’all.

So, in the comments could y’all tell me what y’all want to do in the future I know it’s probably very cheesy, but I like learning things like this from people. 

Sorry if the blog for this week is a little boring but I didn’t really have an idea what to write. Also, it’s 4am right now while I’m writing this, and I really need to go to sleep to get a better sleep schedule for myself.

What’s up everyone! It’s time for another one of Crislyn’s random dumb things of the week.

So, this might be out of spite and the fact that this trainwreck of a show is finally going to be over in about three days, when I am writing this, but I going to write how I thought the Nine realms should have been written. 

DISCLAIMER!!!!! This is not me talking bad about any of the screenwriters or anyone working on the show this is just my opinion on how I thought the show should have gone when it was first announced that they were making a next part in the HTTYD franchise.

So onward to the story. /This won’t be the full thing cause of the word limit./ 

“In ancient times giant beast use to live on this earth with humans. These beasts were dragons and there was just so many of them from the ones in the air to the ones living at the bottom of the ocean. I remember when I was younger my father would tell me and my brother stories of these dragons and his adventures with them. How he meet the most dangerous dragon of them all the Nightfury. He would tell us how he made peace with the dragons and how he and my mom fell in love. There was even one time when I was seven that my parents took me and my younger brother to see the dragons. None of the kids back home believed me when I told them but that’s ok with me…If you are reading this then that means you are part of the Haddock family and it’s your turn to learn about the family purpose and mission.

Protect the Dragons No Matter What.

My father always talked about how one day humans and dragons could come together again like before. Maybe it will happen one day but for right now this family will do all it can to protect the dragons and where they hide. Good luck.”

An old woman with blonde closes the book she’s holding. “Grandma are there really dragons out there in the ocean?” The voice of a child asked. The child looked to be four. He had blonde hair with a small button nose.

“I don’t really know my dear, but my grandfather used to tell me that his grandfather told him all about the dragons. Even my great great great great grandmother use to tell me about them.” She explained to the little boy. “For many years our family has protected this secret and even though we don’t have the haddock name anymore we still have that blood flowing through our veins.” Grandma told the boy. She tucked him in gave him a small kiss on the forehead.

So, what did everyone think? Of course, it’s not finished cause of well like I said in the beginning the word limit but if anyone would like to give some feedback drop it in the comments. I think might continue this as a side project along with some others I’m working on. If y’all want to see those too tell me and I might share them.

What’s up dragon pal’s (don’t ask)

So, you all read the title you know where this is going. So, I wrote this down in my notebook and I’m just typing what I see /kinda/. So, today’s blog is going to be about my top three OTP’s. I didn’t know what else to blog about so bear with me plz. Thank you. 🙂

If you don’t know what an OTP is that’s ok. An OTP is just an acronym for the phrase One True Paring. This phrase is in many fandoms when talking about ships, not boats but the relation “ships” of the character in the show, movie or book. Some of it cannon some of it not.

Now I promise I won’t be like those people who just rant about their favorite ships /I probably will a little bit, but I’ll do my best to stay focused. /

1. Percabeth (Percy Jackson)

So, anyone here a Percy Jackson fan (I can’t see if you raised your hand.) Anyways if you are then good you already know about this ship but for the folks in the back who don’t have any idea what I’m talking about. Percabeth is main ship in the Percy Jackson franchise between Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson. /I’m really excited for the show coming out in December. /

So, Percabeth… I sometimes don’t know what to say they are just a great couple and if you’ve read the books then you know that their dynamic is just ugh my heart. Even though the relationship took a bit of slow burn it was till good, (just wait there is an even slower couple.) I recommend if you haven’t read the books to do it cause it tells about their relationship better than I can. I think it’s cute when get to see them go from kinda enemies, cause Athena kids and Poseidon kids can’t get along to best friends that rely on one another to lovers that would and did fight Gods and Titians for the other.

1. Hiccstrid (How to Train Your Dragon)

I was only 13 when I first saw these two on screen together. The first HTTYD movie was just so beautiful and not just with the animation but the story and the characters. I know I say this a lot, but I really do love this movie. It’s my favorite movie of all time. 

OK now on to the ship.

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and Astrid Hofferson as known as Hiccstrid to the fandom and the creators are just the perfect example of a good enemy to lovers’ story trope. In the beginning of the movie, they don’t even really interact with one another but then they become rivals /kinda/ when they have dragon killing training but by the end of the movie, they are both just so caring for one another. Now, this might be a little silly but these two are the reason I have slightly high standards for a SOA. Now I’m almost at the max word count for this blog so I might do a rant on them in next week blog but in the meantime if you want to hear more on these two’s history watch this video.

Cris Out! 

Ok today I’m going to be talking about one of my characters or Oc if you will. I plan to do this for the rest of the month so be warned. I love my Oc’s and giving them stories. I don’t know how other people do it but when I create characters, they are usually based on concepts I’ve seen on tv or ideas I get from Pinterest (Like I have a whole pin board that’s just character ideas.)

So, to get into it lets jump in.

Name- Summer Pearl Harris

Age- Seventeen-year-old

Looks- She has almond skin with small freckles around her face, she has brown eyes with curly black hair she is about 5’5  

Background:

She is a seventeen-year-old African American. Who lives in a small town in Ohio. She lives by herself since her parents are usually never around and haven’t been around since she was like five years old. She spends most of her time with her older half-brother, James who is more like a parent to her. She was a junior at the high school in her town, but she dropped out when her younger half-sister, Olivia was born. Summer has a long-time boyfriend that she sees only in the summer and on some holidays. His name is Leonardo, but everyone just calls him Leo.

Next on my list of characters is Summer’s half-brother James.  

Name- James Camelo Harris   

Age- twenty-five-year-old 

Looks- He is 6’1 with a honey skin tone. He has brown eyes with short black hair.

Background:

James was born to Summer’s dad and his birth mom, a Latina woman who he met at a club. James lived with his mom till he was taken from his mom when he was ten years old. James lived with his dad and stepmom till he was eighteen when he moved out to live with his girlfriend.  They live on the outskirts of the town. James works at the Ice Cream parlor where he also sells information to people. 

So, this isn’t very different from my normal blogs but here is an excerpt from my novel that I stop writing a while ago. Many doing this will give me inspiration to pick it up again and finish it. The title is a work in progress. 

Excerpt from “High School Mafia”

She grabbed them by their arms and pulled them downstairs to the kitchen. As they step into the kitchen, they are greeted by a serene and inviting atmosphere created by the captivating blue and gray color scheme. The walls are painted pale gray, providing a neutral canvas for the play of colors. The gentle blue accents are strategically woven throughout the space, bringing an understated vibrancy.  

  They are drawn to the heart of the room, a magnificent island that takes center stage. The island stands as a focal point, exuding elegance and functionality. Its base is a rich, slate-gray hue, grounding the space with a touch of sophistication. The countertop has an expansive slab of polished marble in a delicate blue shade reminiscent of calm ocean waters. The marble’s natural veins swirl gracefully, adding an artistic touch to the island’s surface. Standing behind the island is a tall man with long, straight hair up in a neat bun. He was wearing a light gray suit. “Πατερούλης, good morning!” Zera exclaimed to the man when she ran up and hugged him from behind.  

  He turned around and hugged her back “Καλημέρα, κοριτσάκι.” Mr. Tassi said to Zera. He kissed the top of her head. The family sat together at the table and just talked to each other. This tradition is something the family started when it was Sebastian’s first day of school and they do it every year, they sit together at breakfast and talk about any and everything. While they were talking a man ran into the kitchen, his hair was messy, and his suit had wrinkles like he just threw it on. “Sorry boss, but Rosi is here.” The man spoke out of breath.

 Zera looked to her brother when she heard that name, Rosi is the mayor’s family name even though Srario was a very small town because of some problems in the past there have been a few mayors of course none of that is really important right now. Zera looks to her dad then to her brother “Basty what going on?” She asked him, her face frowning up. Sebastion gave her a gentle smile and patted her head. He looked at the twins and nodded his head towards them. “Come on ladybug we have to get to school early.” Jonas said as he got up pulling Lucas with him.

Ok everyone, recently I’ve been rewatching many Scooby-Doo movies and shows. Not all of them but most and I just want to talk about them cause why not. Who doesn’t love Scooby-Doo? 

So, everyone knows how all the movies and shows go. The Gang, Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-doo go anywhere really (Is there a place these kids have gone that isn’t hunted) and they end up in the middle of a mystery and they try to solve the mystery fail a couple times then at the end they catch the “ghost”, which turns out to be just a person in a custom trying to either mess with people or steal from people. 

So, as I’m writing this blog, I’m watching What’s New Scooby-Doo and it’s just really bringing back old memories of watching the show with my sisters in the living room at our old house eating cereal on the couch on Saturdays or in the afternoons after school.

Now I’m going to talk about my favorite Scooby-doo shows and movies. 

1. Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is an American animated television series that serves as the eleventh incarnation of the Scooby-Doo media franchise created by Hanna-Barbera. Scooby-Doo and the gang attempt to solve creepy mysteries in the town of Crystal Cove, a place with a history of eerie supernatural events. Out of all the Scooby-Doo shows this one has always been my favorite. The story in Mystery Inc. has always captivated me in many ways because unlike the other shows mystery inc. has an overarching story with a lot of history, which I really would love to talk about everything that goes on in this show but maybe another time.

2. What’s New Scooby-Doo?

Scooby-Doo and the Mystery, Inc. gang are launched into the 21st century, with new mysteries to solve. This show right here folks is what inspired this blog because as I’m writing this blog right now, I’m watching What’s New Scooby-Doo and it’s just really bringing back old memories of watching the show with my sisters. There isn’t a big story like Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, but it’s still a great show to watch if like me you love the nostalgic feelings from an old show from your childhood.

3. Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! 

This right here folks is the show that got me into Scooby-Doo to benign with. The show follows the adventures of teenagers Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy, and a dog named Scooby-Doo. They travel in a van known as The Mystery Machine, encountering and solving mysteries. As this show came out in 1969-1978 it was really old when I started watching it but as this was the Scooby-Doo my dad grew up watching. Then it became the Scooby-Doo that me and my sister grew up watching.

 There are a lot of Scooby-Doo movies (even though google says there are only five that’s not true) that have been made since its debut in 1969. Including five live action movies, but I didn’t watch all five movies, but I did watch three out of the five, so gold star to me! The three movies below this are my favorites mainly for nostalgic feeling I get from watching them. The one live action movie I mention in the blog is the only one I remember the best because I really prefer the animated movies to the live action.

What’s up everybody? So, for as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted a dog, and like most kids who want pets my parents told me no. Even with getting told no every time I asked anytime it came up, I asked them for a dog. Mainly a husky. I always and I still want one, but this blog isn’t about huskies but about the cutest little dogs I’ve ever seen.  

  This little Cutie is a Cavoodle. Cavoodles are adorable crossbreeds of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Poodles, with soft coats and big eyes. These cuties are the most adorable dogs you’ll ever meet. They are very popular in Australia, where they are known as Cavoodles, but also have other names like Cavapoo and Cavadoodle. They are gentle, friendly, and eager to please, making them great companions for families, children, and other pets.  

They are highly trainable and smart, inheriting the intelligence of the Poodle and the affection of the Cavalier. They come in various colors and sizes, depending on the parent breeds, but usually have a medium-length muzzle and brown eyes.

Their fur is soft, and they don’t really shed as much as other dogs. So, they make the perfect pet for everyone even those with allergies. These little cuties are just the most precious dogs in the whole world. Who can say no to a face like that.

  These qualities make Cavoodles not just cute but also wonderful pets, providing joy, and companionship to their owners. Their cuteness isn’t just skin deep it’s a reflection on their lovable personalities and the happiness they bring into the lives of those lucky enough to have them as furry family members. That’s why when I get my own apartment or house, I plan to get one of these furry little guys. I don’t know how yet but I am determined to have one.  

     The Eriksen family is what most people would call ‘old money’. They have been a guard family for generations since the family was created. The Eriksen family first originated in Scandinavian, but they ended up moving to Srario 4,000 years ago. They were there when the town first settled there. The Patriarch of this family was Biorn Eriksen, during his time he was the most powerful Mystic/Viking and brought a lot of glory to his family and village. 

     They moved to Srario because a couple of Mundanes came too close to the village and started damaging their resources. They became a guard family for the other three families when one of the children from the Fernandez family was being chased by some golems when they got too close to a dark part of the forest. On this day the family is still a guard family, but the current head is the wife of the late Jacky Robbert who has passed away after an incident involving the youngest child of the Tassi family. He was put on “trial” by the current head and he was sent out of town permanently. 

     Now with Ingrid Eriksen-Robbert as the Matriarch of the family. The mistakes Jacky made and even the memories of him are being forgotten. Even the twins Magin and Freya don’t remember much about him. Magin and Freya are seventeen-year-old twins with Magin being older by ten minutes born to Ingrid and Jacky Eriksen-Robbert. Currently Magin is being trained to be the next head of the family. 

     Freya is training to be the wife and/or Assistant for one of the other three families. Unlike the other families there isn’t a lot of pressure on them but it’s still a lot for young kids. While the kids of the other families have to take over whatever business their families have plus taking over the care of the town. All Magin will have to do is make sure the next heads of the families have the protection that they need. Meanwhile Freya’s only jobs are to either get married to someone from the big three families, or someone very respected in the town and still be the assistant to one of the families.

     And while all the children understand that they have this responsibility and must do what they’re told by their parents, even if it disrupts their own happiness. This is kind of why the twins are really glad that they are best friends with Tassi’s youngest child. Some people think that they use her to get out of certain things involving family rules all the children have to follow in their life.

     Recently my friends and I all took the 16 personality quiz and I want to talk about my results. I am a Turbulent Mediator or INFP-T. Mediators are quiet, private, free spirits who view life as an endless series of idealistic possibilities waiting to be realized. They typically try to get along with others and promote harmony wherever they go. How they do that though depends on whether they are Assertive Mediators, INFP-A or Turbulent Mediators, INFP-T (That’s me!).  

     These personality types tend to be open-minded, and imaginative, and they apply a caring and creative approach to everything they do. Mediators are creative and imaginative, they happily lose themselves in daydreams, inventing all sorts of stories and conversations in their minds. They can have profound emotional responses to music, art, nature, and the people around them. Idealistic and empathetic, Mediators long for deep, soulful relationships, and they feel called to help others. Because this personality type makes up a small portion of the population they may sometimes feel lonely or invisible in a world that doesn’t seem to appreciate what makes them unique.  

     Mediators strengths are that they are empathetic, they can feel the emotions of others. They are very passionate, when an idea captures their imagination Mediators want to give their whole heart to it. Like most people Mediators also have weaknesses that affect their strengths. Mediators are self-isolating, they long to connect with others, but they don’t always know how, especially in new environments. They are also desperate to please, conflict tends to be very stressful for Mediators. When someone dislikes or disapproves of them they tend to get fixated on trying to change that person’s mind. 

     INFPs are hopeless romantics. They don’t just want to find a partner, they want to find their soulmate. Mediators pride themselves on their ability to look past appearance, social status, or possessions, but they do have preconceived standards for a significant other. Their vision of their ideal partner may be based on a favorite fictional character or simply the stories they’ve told themselves about how love “should” look. Many Mediators come to learn that true love doesn’t just magically happen. 

     After all no partner is perfect, fortunately people with this personality trait can find a great deal of joy in the effort it takes to strengthen a relationship. Mediators tend to promote harmony over disagreement, yes this lends stability to their relationships, it can also lead to problems.

    Mediators long for a career that doesn’t just pay the bills but also feels fulfilling. They want to spend their days doing something they genuinely love, preferably without too much stress or drama.

Zera was worried about her dad he just left the house, and he was angry than she’s ever seen him, and she just couldn’t help the teras the flowed down her face. She wrapped her arms around her body. She looked to her brother hoping someone would comfort her, but the twins just looked at the ground and Sebastian looked at her with a hard stare. She doesn’t know what to do, she’s so scared.  

“Where is he?” Sebastian asked, his voice was cold. 

“S-Sebastian please calm down.” Zera’s voice was shaky.  

“Calm down.”  

“CALM DOWN!” Sebastian yelled.  

“How can I calm down when my little sister just told us she basically just threw away her life!” 

“Sebastian please w-we didn’t want this I promise.” Zera tried to tell him. 

“Where… Is… He?”  

“Please you can’t hurt him please!”  

“ME hurt HIM!” Sebastian’s voice was getting louder, and the house was almost shaking with how loud he was being. 

“He should be grateful I don’t go to his house right now and sho-” Sebastian is cut off by one of the twins grabbing him by the arm and pulling him out the room. As they walk away Sebastian was shouting ever curse, he knows in Greek. Zera looks to the only person still in the room with her. 

“Lucas Please say something for the love of the Gods.” Zera’s voice was so broken. Lucas just looked at her he didn’t really know what to say. 

“Does he know?” Lucas asked. If the bastard knows and is choosing to just ignore what is happening he wouldn’t stop his brother and father from killing him. 

“Yes, we found out four weeks ago.” Zera looked away from him. She knew that her brothers would probably kill her boyfriend, but she just couldn’t let that happen. She loved him too much to let anything happen to him. 

“Zera, you have to understand your on 17.” Lucas says. He pulls her into a hug 

“You have a year left of school how are you going to do this?” He looked at her, his grey eyes filled with sadness.  

“I promise we have a plan.” Zera said  

“I’ll get dad and Sebastian to calm down to hear you out, but I think it would be best if you get James down here, ok?” Lucas got off the couch and walked out of the room. 

Zera nodded as he was walking out the room. She called James and told him to come over so they could talk to her father and brothers.
