Of course you do! I’m gonna complain about my American ghosts cast dislike in a little more depth. Yes. More Ghosts. Y’all, for my monthly blog I’m gonna talk about the OG Ghosts. BECAUSE SOMETHING BIG HAPPENED THIS WEEEKKKK!!
Anyway. Anyway. The casts. Lets go over Ghosts that show up in the original series! Main cast, the plague pit, that pigeon, the dude that dies next to the fence, Annie, and honestly that’s it. I’m not counting the ghosts the leading ladies see outside of the main property because in both shows I think it’s really interesting to see expansion like that! It’s a introduction of more ghosts that I APPRECIATE. And it makes SENSE.
Okay! Awesome! What about the American version? SO GLAD YOU ASKED! I will preface this with the fact that the original Ghosts almost had a super large cast. One of the original ideas that can actually be seen in a lost pilot that has only been partially found is that of the cast size being humongous! It was more adjacent to the way they played characters in Horrible Histories! The main six actors would actually be ALL of the MANY characters that would span the existence of British history (which is like. a long time). I guess there wasn’t really any moving on because that house was FULL! ThemThere decided that would be too difficult to keep track of, and the characters would have less of a chance to feel the loneliness of death or a chance to develop deeper
Sorry. Sorry. NOW for the large cast of the American version. Of course they have the main cast and their plague pit. But then they have…. The stripper dude that flew away never to come back somehow?? And the journalist lady that also leaves and comes back. and the bunker people as a whole on top of the plague pit. and the ghosts from the other house which is like the viking’s son, some lady from like the 50s that died in the house and was the mother of the current owner (there were more but they don’t show up as much as those two). and the car ghost. and the ghost stuck to a dude. and Hetty’s husband coming to and from hell. and pete’s wife. and the british soldiers. and the puritan lady. and the 80s ghost. and their headless dude. THE HEADLESS DUDE! WHO HASN’T SHOWN UP IN SEASONS BRO. WHERE IS HE?? and the ghost snail. and the irish maid that shows up for one episode. There are also some ghosts that Sam meets at her job in the city! I do like them. They didn’t over stay their welcome and were used to expand on another ghost’s story which was really super cool. Then she left that job so RIP to the extras that made sense.
I didn’t mention the living casts, and I’m not going to. With Jay having a restaurant with workers and the hotel being in operation in the American show, there really isn’t a point. Also, of course more livings would show up! That makes sense! People go places! GHOSTS CAN’T!!!!!!!!!?????????!?!?!?!?!? THEY’RE STAGNANT AND LONELY!!!! WHY AREN’T THEY STAGNANT AND LONELY????????????????????????????????????
All this complaining… I swear I like the American version. It’s a good comedy! It’s original in a good amount of places! I get excited when new episodes come out!!!! I fweaking swear bro!!! I like the American version, but I LOVE the original. Can’t help it.
Okay, so. That’s enough about that. I think I’ve said my piece. Also, I’m not sure if we’re supposed to have a word limit on the “Good Reads” posts or not. I do not remember. Could check the syllabus……. or I could just hit publish. You know? SHUT UP NICK. Okay, Nick. Get ready for next week, y’all. I am gonna be ANNOYING for the next two months. OKAY. That’s enough for now. ByeBye!
