Good morning or evening Ladies and Gentlemen today I’m going to be talking about the upcoming comic book series Absolute Dc where they reconned all the characters in the original series but unfortunately this won’t be cannon to the original marvel universe.   

1. Absolute Batman.

Okie dokie since there isn’t a lot of information about him, I can’t go into a lot of details about him, but I can tell you what I do know. Compared to the original universe where he is stinking rich in this one his is dirt poor and works as a city engineer. he is 6ft but in his costume he is 7ft tall (I’m not Tryna fights this monster)

this batman does whatever it takes to clean up Gotham going through things that the original only even though of that’s why Alfred in this universe is his sniper is whereas in the original he is his adoptive father.

very brutal very efficient very demure

2. Absolute Wonder Woman 

so, in this universe wonder woman is still an amazon warrior but she dosen’t come from paradise island instead she is raised by witches in hell which may not infer that she has magic that we won’t find out until the comic comes out. 

at least she still as her sword though it’s quite big now. 

Absolute Superman 

So Again, not a lot of information surrounding this character but what we do know is that he will not have any morality. I know sounds like a certain someone  

in the absolute universe he won’t have the Kents with him at all, so we don’t know if that he won’t have parents at all or just bad parents in general. Now I got to be honest I’ve never been a fan of superman, but I can understand why people like him since he is basically like the allmight of dc but I’m not going to lie. 

He looks cold I he might just replace Kyle Rainer as my fourth favorite in dc.\

Expectations: I have very high expectations for this, and I know a lot of comic book fans do as well and with the support everyone’s giving the creator I’m sure it will be a hit. 

Dislikes:  I’m sorry but this is just a pet peeve of mine. 

WHY IS HE BLOND. Hear me when i say this no hate to the blondies out there I love y’all, but batman is not blond it ruins his entire aesthetics and a Frenchie… really his son had a German Shepard this one should at least have a bulldog.

Hello today’s blog will focus on just a few of Jack Stauber’s songs and what {in my opinion} they signify and mean! For some background Jack Stauber is American musician/ animator who is known for the unique sound parings he uses in his songs and how he sings in “cursive”. 

1- Easy to breathe

This song was released November 6th, 2020, and was a song featured in a psychological horror film titled “Opal” it is sung by a character who smokes cigarettes incessantly and is obsessed with tv. This leads him to go onto sing this and the whole premises of the song is how he does not understand how the people in the tv can breathe so easily. He also goes on in this song to ramble about how the women on tv love him and idolize him and how they “want his soul” (mind you he is also singing this song to a young child).  Though I believe there is a deeper meaning than just being a stay-at-home bum and bad grandfather. The deeper meaning is the story is about co-dependency and usage of unhealthy coping mechanisms. This can be seen because the man singing is both blind and has an illness. It is a theory that his illness is caused by his constant smoking but also that the illness in turn took his sight. Yet this man still chooses to watch endless amounts of tv? The answer to why he would do that is it is how he copes and it’s what he depends on. He watches the same shows daily because he can remember what they were like before he became blind, and it is his last connection to reality. As he seems to forget who his own grandchild is numerous times while singing. his cigarettes are something he has always had and is how he copes as his current living situation is quite unfortunate.

2- Dog nightmare 

This song was released March 25th,2017 and honestly is one or was one of his more popular songs released. It also is a song that not much has been found out about when it comes to any deeper meaning. On the surface level it seems very unassuming with lyrics like “(My name is Jack) Hello! (Okay-)(Mmm-oy) (Go outside)(Here we go, ah!)” as you can see most people may not want to or will find this hard to really analyze. I see it thought as something that could potentially lead to the topic of an unhealthy relationship. If you look into just the title of the song dog nightmare automatically alludes to something more. And we are hit with a few key lyrics such as “I was dancing to your house last Wednesday night (I was dancing to your house last Wednesday night)I caught a little word of something you said (I caught a little word of something you said)Now I can’t let little prose come out of my head, ha”. This already sounds like something has gone down and combining with the rest of the lyrics speaking about going for a ride and allusions to biting. This insinuates maybe they are physically going on a drive to escape what’s going on and biting is a clear symbolism for violence. So, although this is not one of my favorite songs by him in my opinion its mystery surrounding it makes it very fun to analyze!

3- Dead weight

I love this song to an unhealthy extent so as one does, I simply over-analyzed it to death. This song was released April 14th,2018 (writing these dates is making me realize I’ve been a fan longer than I thought). This song though you can already see the underlying meaning fairly easily. Jack uses tones that almost sound similar to whining or someone who is mourning a person. It is also a fairly popular song as it creates a nostalgic tone that viewers loved. This also probably why it is one of three songs which have their own music video! The meaning I took away from this was just honestly a person who feels like a failure. It seems as the person alludes to that they have everything they “need” but not really anything else of importance. This is what leads them to spiral and talk and repeat many times the word “dead weight”. It alludes to the sense of what they feel being that in the grand scheme of things they feel minuscular. 

So overall these are the meanings or take aways I have had after listening to these songs! Be sure to check out this songwriter if any of these speak to you and he also has many other silly songs and Claymation animations!

 

 

 

I’ve loved Nintendo games ever since I could remember, but I’m not as cool as most people who loved Nintendo as a kid, I had a 2DS instead of a 3DS because my dad thought they were cooler. Also, I was just an average enjoyer who didn’t understand half of the games I played because I was too young (and wasn’t conscious yet). 

One game has consistently stuck with me for years, though, and that’s Tomodachi Life. It was released in 2013 in Japan, then a year later in North America. Unfortunately, I was late to the party and found out about it through DanTDM’s series on YouTube. By that time, I had moved to America and in the process, somehow lost half of my stuff (including my 2DS that I lowkey hated). So, I bought a brand new 3DS off of Amazon and Tomodachi Life, as well as Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I don’t think I could ever recreate that excitement that little 8-year-old me had for that Amazon package. When it finally came, I tore that box open and got to work.

Tomodachi Life is a simulation game where you make little characters then feed them, give them gifts, play games with them, and watch them creepily through their windows. Little 8-year-old me loved that apparently because slightly bigger 16-year-old me still loves it. I made all my best friends, family members, and whoever else I could possibly think of, and I took care of all of them like a loving mother.

When you first start the game, you get the chance to make a “lookalike” of yourself on an island you get to name. I have such distinct memories of making my lookalike and moving the mole feature to the bottom right side of my mouth and making it huge so I could see it. I would always set my height as short as it could be and make my shirt pink. When I think back on it, I miss those days like crazy, but I left my 3DS (which is the same 3DS I ordered when I was 8) at home.

One thing about Tomodachi Life that I have to talk about is the music! I spent so many hours playing that game that I have almost every song’s melody memorized. The second I hear the night theme, my mind goes back to all those times I played my 3DS past my bedtime under the covers. When I hear the apartment theme, I remember every time I would show my friends the character I made for them, and they would usually react with mixed emotions because I probably made them look really ugly.

One thing that I’ve been silently hoping for is a version of Tomodachi Life for the Nintendo Switch. I don’t know how they would adapt it because the 3DS and the Switch are really different, but a girl can dream! I know a lot of people talk about how great it would be if Tomodachi Life came to the Switch and I’ve been tricked a couple of times thinking it finally happened, which is so embarrassing.

I’m about to tell you a secret I haven’t told anyone, but I guess I just spill all my secrets on this blog. Whenever I’m feeling unmotivated to do a task, like laundry or cleaning, I just play Tomodachi Life music and pretend that I’m a little islander doing my chores with my lookalike watching after me. It doesn’t even have to be Tomodachi Life, sometimes I pretend to be a Sim from the Sims 4. I just realized I play pretend a lot for a 16-year-old… But try it and thank me later!

Thank you for reading my silly blog about the game that’s been festering in my mind recently. I think I’m more obsessed with it now than I have been because I forgot my 3DS at home and I can’t get it for another week. Also, I haven’t even thought about DanTDM in years until I started writing this so that was a crazy throwback. 

Adrianne Lenker is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. She’s a songwriter for a band called “big thief” and she’s well known for her solo career. Her songs are mostly in the alternative/indie rock/ folk genre and her themes (to me) are about childhood, unrequited love and poverty. I can’t say I’m completely accurate, as I am just discovering her music in the car. But as far as Wikipedia says, she’s cool. Seriously though, her music is like a breath of fresh air to me. She depicts childhood, living in a rural area, lost love, hardships with self-harm and family troubles in such a colorful, captivating way. She uses her experiences to craft these songs, and I think it’s ridiculous how well she does it. Today I will be talking about 2 of my favorite songs from her and sharing why they are so interesting to me.

 

1. Half Return

I’m 99% sure half return is my favorite because of the imagery and storytelling. Her voice adds a lovely touch, but the message and imagery behind it is so rare and crucial to me. The picture of a white house with a dirty lawn reminds me of the rural town I came from. Seeing those conditions in every neighborhood yet the children playing despite it was such a tearjerker. To say that this song makes me relive those moments is an understatement. It’s more like another experience itself.

Indygar is so beautiful. Its about a dead horse and how its body is being eaten by animals and nature, the whole message about how we must return to what we were. But the words and the metaphors/comparisons in this song is why I love it so much. For example, I thought it was incredible how she compared the horse’s dead eyes to blueberries and video screens. Almost like its being witnessed by a child or a person unfamiliar with dead animals. All the grassy, farm vibes made this song really stick out to me. The message and poetic scheme of her music never fails to amaze me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dhmis is a show that most kids found and probably weren.t supposed to watch! The show has these three puppets who live together. Yellow guy, duck, and red guy. (Idk if they’re actually called that!!) The three of them were introduced to very educational creatures, who turned out to either be evil or very evil! I will be yapping about their songs.

1. The creativity song

The song starts with the three sitting at their kitchen table. A little notepad opens and sings about the idea of creativity. It’s her favorite idea, and she thinks creatively. She tells them all to think how she does, that she sees things differently and expresses herself different. She begins to convince to see everything like she does. Clowns are bad and green isn’t creative, of course!! Listen to the rain, and your brain, and your heart! They took a bit too far though.. (Literally covering a heart in glitter.) Anyway!! They all agreed to never be creative again!

2. The time song

This episode starts with red guy being excited about their show that starts in five minutes, Duck says there’s not enough time. The clock on the wall speaks and says, “There’s always time for a song!” He then goes on to explain what time is. You can put it on the wall or wear it on your wrist!! The past is far behind us and there is no future. It only goes forwards and no other way. The clock encourages them to learn more about time. Times flies by when you’re having fun, but there’s a time and a place for mucking around! Now it’s the future, and there’s so much more stuff you can do! Fish everywhere. The three begin asking questions about time, is time real? Is it just someone humans made up? This angers the clock, and he makes yellow guys ears bleed. The clock then ages all three of them rapidly making their bodies decay, all except yellow guy. He’s only a clock though, eventually everyone runs out of time!

3. The love song

This episode starts with the trio on a picnic. Duck has prepared a chicken picnic!! Yellow guy sees a butterfly, but Duck squishes it which makes him run away in tears. A butterfly (a little baby pigeon) sees yellow guy crying in the tree and says, “Makes you sad, doesn’t it?” The butterfly begins to sing about hatred and darkness, and that it doesn’t have to be that way. We could live in harmony! He takes yellow guy by the hand and tells him about love as they fly through the sky! Love is everywhere, it’s a feeling inside that everyone has. Red guy and Duck are left at the picnic, after they finish their chicken, they go look for yellow guy. The butterfly continues to speak on love, and everyone names what they love. Yellow guy loves everything, and they tell him that he’s doing it wrong. He must save his love for his “special one”. They tell the story of Micheal, the loneliest/ugliest boy in town. Everybody called him a freak, so he lived on his own underground, but everyone has a special one. Including Micheal. They begin speaking of pure love, that is protected with a ring. They worship a king named Malcolm who they feed gravel, or he becomes angry. They begin cleaning yellow guy’s brain and telling him to join their king. The episode ends with yellow guy waking up in a tree and his friends apologizing.

4. The computer song

The computer song begins with the trio playing a board game, it asks a question. “What is the biggest thing in the world?” They don’t know the answer, so they look at a globe! The globe turns and starts to sing but is interrupted by a computer. He’s a computery guy!! He speaks of his digital life and offers to show them. He speaks of how clever he is, and he can print pictures. He’s a clever smart boy, who can do it all digitally! The three agree to use his help and starts asking tons of personal questions, red guy tells him to shush over and over eventually yelling at him to shut up and trying to turn him off. The computer screams at him to not touch him, and they are transported inside of the computer. He introduces them to his digital home, and all of the different things that can be done! There’re over three things to do like pi charts, digital dances, and digital style. This sequence repeats multiple times before red guy begins spiraling. He tries to turn the computer off, following the cord to a room where he sees everything behind the scenes of dhmis. The episodes ends with his head exploding like a balloon and confetti coming from it!!

5. The healthy song

No more trio! Red guy is gone now. Duck and yellow guy sit in the kitchen and yellow guy speaks, “Something’s different!” He says, Duck replies, “Something’s missing.” As if they don’t remember their friend, despite pictures of him everywhere. Yellow guy points to something asking was it him, a piece of bread singing a intro to a song. A can begins singing to them asking if they’re hungry. She says, lots of people get hungry. A piece of steak then begins to sing about hungry coming from your body. It must be hungry, but not all tasty snacks are good to eat. A phone begins to ring which stops the music, Duck goes to answer the phone. When he says hello, he wakes up in a hospital bed. The song continues. The steak talks about the body, it’s like a house and food goes through the chimney. If the food is good, it stays for a party, but if it’s bad then it has to leave through the cat flap. Duck says it doesn’t make sense and the phone rings again. He answers it and they’re at the kitchen table again. The song continues speaking about what you can and can’t eat. Duck is distressed the entire time they’re explaining it all.  The fridge begins singing to Duck about food tasting great, Duck says he doesn’t want to do this anymore and knocks down the camera as he runs away. Again, he’s in the hospital bed. The can and the steak continue to sing to yellow guy about what he can and can’t eat. Again, we see Duck in the hospital bed, his organs being pulled out and eaten by a giant giggling can. They begin chanting that you shouldn’t eat food from a stranger’s plate. The episode ends with yellow guy stuffed with food and cans with Duck’s face all over the table. The phone rings again. We also see red guy in the credits, walking with a briefcase. 

6. The dreams song

This episode starts with yellow guy in his bed, crying. The three of them shared a room. He says, “Goodnight, guys, I miss you.” A lamp begins singing to him about dreams, yellow guy says no and turns the lamp off, laying back down. The light comes back on and continues, yellow guy refuses but all he can do is listen to the lamp. The lamp says you can dream about anything! Riding a horse or drowning in oil.  Yellow guy wakes up and sees the lamp who begins singing about bad dreams. He begins sinking into his bed which is now made of oil. Then we see red guy, who wakes up in an office room. Someone asks him to file files, and red guys says, “Wouldn’t it be funny if these files came alive?” He begins singing and everyone starts at him, saying “That sounds really boring.” (the same thing he said to that notepad). We see his life; how boring and repetitive it all is. So, what does he do? He takes off his clothes and gets on stage and begins singing the creativity song. Everyone boos at him, but one person is interested. Yellow guys father, Roy, who is a businessman who showed up a bunch of times throughout the series. It’s Father’s Day after all!! All of these songs take place on June 19th, which is a day that Father’s Day took place on. The curtains behind him falls and he’s in a dark room. he hears the dream song and follows the noise. He sees multiple screens and one displays the lamp singing about yellow guy who’s is sobbing. Red guy presses buttons which begin to show everyone they’ve came into contact with along with other things. This contains for a while and yellow guy sobs; red guy keeps trying to fix the problem and he feels Roy touch his shoulder. He turns around and is frightened by the man. Red guy follows a cord and says, “I wonder what will happen?” He unplugs it and guess what? Everything starts over and the day is June 20th.

Iris Apfel is a name not many people know. Born Iris Barrel on August 29th, 1921, in Queens, New York, she was a businesswoman, fashion designer, model, and interior designer. Her father’s family owned a glass and mirror business, and her mother owned a fashion boutique. Raised on a farm and as an only child, she quite often took the subway to spend the day exploring Manhattan, where she spent her time shopping in antique stores at Greenwich Village. She fell in love with the eccentric jewelry, beginning her collection while still a child. When the Great Depression hit, her entire family was able to drape, sew, glue, and paint, and they all had a flair and style that could fit even the tiniest shoestring budget.

She was known for her flamboyant style, eccentricity in the best ways possible, and her outspoken personality. I fell in love with Ms. Apfel when I first saw a video as I was scrolling on Instagram, of a little old lady, draped in the most colorful fabrics I’ve ever seen, with bracelets and necklaces that could ground the lightest of birds. I could’ve sworn I saw a crown on her head in that video. I became obsessed. She is one of my idols. From her style to her attitude, she is everything I want to be when I grow old. And yes, this blog will be filled with quotes from her.

Iris Apfel

She lived to be 102, passing away two days after the first half of 102 years. While she was alive, she collected accomplishments like jewelry. As a young woman, she worked for Women’s Wear Daily as a copywriter. She worked for interior designer Elinor Johnson, flipping apartments, and creating a talent and eye for sourcing rare items. She married Carl Apfel in 1948 and two years later, the pair started the textile firm Old World Weavers, which ran until 1992, when they both retired. They specialised in reproducing fabrics from the 17th to the 19 centuries and frequently traveled to Europe in search of fabrics that were unavailable in the States. During the tenure of Old World Weavers, Apfel took part in numerous design and restoration projects, including a contract at the White House that lasted for nine presidents! She found that the Oval Office was her easiest client, seeing as they only wished to restore what was already there.

In 2019, while she was 97, she signed a modelling contract with global agency IMG. She mixed both high and low fashions, desginer bloses paired with trousers bought at secondhand stores. In 2005, the MET Costume Institute showed an exhibition title Rara Avis [Rare Bird]: The Irreverent Iris Apfel. This exhibit displayed many designs from Apfel, most of which I couldn’t view online. sadly. 

1. Steve

Steven Anita smith is a 14-Year-old perv which is a revolving door when it comes to Adult swim. He along with his comedic partner roger bring entertainment and laughter to the show that you can get in most places. He isn’t that much of a pervert to be honest but he does a weird fantasy about his mom.

that’s your mom man. Overall, for me he is a 10/10 character because when i say he can sing I mean he can sing.

2. Francine 

 

Francine smith a Modern Housewife to Stan smith (Bottom of the list) she has the absolute patience of a goddess for dealing with stan and his antics. People say that she isn’t a good mother because she is dumb and doesn’t care about them. Francine is anything but dumb she is a marine biologist and zoologist and has some experience in astronomy. Plus, whenever we do get to have then Mother daughter or son duo or trio its always the funniest and you can feel the love between them.

Overall 10/10

3. Jeff Fisher 

Jeff Fisher Married to Haley smith is an unemployed pot head with no goals or ambitions. He is a really funny character though and interacts with everyone in the family most of the time unlike other members of the family. To be honest he knows pretty much everyone in the serious and they all seem to like him except stan and his father but who likes them. I wish we could see more of him but unfortunately, I don’t think that will ever come to past, so we get what we get.

Hayley Smith:

Jeff Fischer:

[pan to reveal Hayley is talking to an Anna doll from Frozen] It’s so awesome you’re a princess, what’s that Anna, there’s a stinky, hairy ogre in the room? [turns towards Jeff] you and your pee-pee are gross!
