So, a few weeks ago I posted about one of my favorite shows. Ghosts! I decided that I was going to, during a rewatch, discuss my favorite episodes of each season, least favorite episodes, and overall feeling of the season! So these next few weeks are going to be filled with spoilers, you have been warned!!
The first episode is a fantastic opener to the series. You meet all of the main cast, learn if and what abilities they have, and their all around character. You learn about Pat’s death, Robin’s past, and that the ghosts can move on. You also learn about how awkward you main living characters are, especially in “Happy Death Day” where Allison is learning to adjust working with people while ghosts surround her.
In my opinion, the worst episode of the season in “Free Pass” where a filming crew uses Button House as a filming location for a series about Lord Byron. One of the characters, Thomas, has a very personal and one sided beef with Lord Byron. The only reason he feels attacked by Byron is over the simple fact that he is a better poet. Honestly, it’s a bit ridiculous and was fun to see. However, the episode just falls short with all the jokes and it just doesn’t shine as well as the others.
“Moonah Ston” is a contender for second lowest episode of the season. It is a really good one, you get to learn about Robin and his life, but the episode just paints all of the ghosts as largely inconsiderate to Allison and Mike. Yes, this leads a way for them to grow later, but they could’ve done the ceremony on the floor above where the dinner party was happening. Love the line “Pray tell… how you doin’?” from Thomas after him and the other ghosts were distracted with friends to stop them from ruining Allison’s dinner party.
For the best of the season, I’m going to say the last episode is the best. “Getting Out” is Allison and Mike attempting to sell Button House to a hotel company so they can move out of that money pit. In the end, it doesn’t work out. Throughout the episode, the ghosts mock and criticize the Captain for his overbearing leadership of the other ghosts. This is the beginning of his character growth as he realizes he’s the only ghost that still wants the living people to leave. He puts his issues aside and he watches out for reasons the hotel company could be forced to leave. He tells Kitty some information to “help” Allison. Asking is she would rather Allison be happy, or be stuck at Button House. Kitty chooses the former, which results in the latter. This is the beginning of one of my favorite Ghosts duos, Kitty and the Captain who have a very father daughter relationship going on which is very sweet.
Not a lot of growth or big events happen this season, but it’s just the first!! First of five, which I will be talking about. Actually, I’ll be talking about more than all five seasons. In order I will talk about: Seasons 1-5, Series Bloopers and other information + podcast, ranking of each season + favorite episodes, a character synopsis on my favorite character (Really, they’re alll my favorites, but there is one that shines above them all), and then I’ll discuss my knowledge on the American, Australian, Greek, and other spinoff series. Really, there wouldn’t be that many versions of the show wasn’t good. Please go watch the original please!!!!

I love Ghosts so much because you can tell the writers care about the characters even if the plot isn’t always moving very fast :3
YESSS you get it.
