Muse- Showbiz : A album analysis Part 3 FINALE

Uh

SHOWBIZ ANALYSIS FINALE!!!!!!!!!!

_________________________________

Escape
Chaotic and raw, Escape encapsulates Muse’s early intensity and their ability to turn panic into art. The song captures a desperate urge to flee suffocation, whether from societal pressures or personal entrapment. Lines like “You would say anything, and you would try anything” shows frantic attempts to claw out of control to the point of doing anything. The singer’s strained vocals, paired with distorted, jagged riffs, create a crowded tune. The track doesn’t feel polished, it’s messy and overwhelming yet that’s precisely its power.

Overdue

I don’t have much to say about this track as I personally see it as straight forward. In Overdue, bitterness replaces panic. Here, the confrontation is betrayal and disappointment, specifically the anger that comes from wasted devotion. The line “You’ll make us want you, you’re all we need” uses irony, showing the false promises of someone undeserving of trust. Musically, the track pushes forward roughly, as if each chord is driving home the frustration of misplaced belief.

Hate This & I’ll Love You

the closing track of Showbiz. Unlike the aggression found elsewhere, lyrically it explores a paradoxical relationship between love and pain, where rejection and hostility are met not with retaliation but with devotion. The title itself encapsulates this contradiction—suggesting that even in the face of hatred, love persists, though it is tinged self-destruction. The song captures themes of longing, imbalance, and the emotional cost of giving oneself completely, closing the album with a sense of unresolved yearning rather than resolution.

Spiral Static (Bonus Track)

Track was only released in the Japanese edition of the album. Though released as a bonus track, Spiral Static deepens the album’s themes. Atmospheric and haunting, it pulls listeners into a cycle of obsession and entrapment. The lyric “You’re the one who’s scared of me” flips vulnerability into menace, suggesting unstable power dynamics within relationships. The track’s swirling, hypnotic sound creates the sense of being caught in an endless loop, unable to fully escape.

With that, we reach the conclusion of this deep dive into Showbiz. Across three parts, we’ve explored the beginnings of Muse, their lyrical intensity, and the emotions that shaped their debut. Every track reveals a fragment of identity, from suffocating pressures to moments of fragile vulnerability. This third installment brings the journey full circle, tying together the chaos, passion, and ambition that defined the era. Thank you for listening to my ramblings about this wonderful band.

Nirvana Deep Dive: Bleach

This series of blog posts is about the instrumentation behind All four of Nirvanas albums the three studio albums in Bleach, Nevermind and In Utero and the compilation album Incestiscide and depending on the reception of the series Unplugged will get a nod.

Nirvana (Bleach Era) in NJ, 1989 : r/TwinTowersInPhotos

The Bleach era (1988-1989) featured Guitarist Jason Everman, Drummer Chad Channing (and occasionally Dale Crover of The Melvins), Bassist Krist Novoselic, lead guitarist and Singer Kurt Cobain. Oddly Jason Everman doesn’t appear once on Bleach recording. He paid to produce the album thus getting him a writer’s credit. The trio of Kurt Krist and Dale Crover would hit the studio in late 1988 to start work on Bleach with producer Jack Endino the songs Downer, Papercuts and Floyd The Barber would be completed and though an attempt to rerecord with Chad Channing came about the three ultimately decided to leave Dales original tracks as is. Every other song has Chad Channing in full force playing away.

Nirvana Gear Guide: Kurt Cobain's Bleach-era Sound – Eastwood Guitars

The odd sound of Bleach comes from the cheap recording equipment used. The band was taped on a eight track and played every song live overdubbing in the post stages (which Kurt hated with passion). The setup for Bleach’s studio recording is as follows: Track one Chads Kick Drum Track two his snare and hi-hat recorded on an overhead place on a boom arm about 5-10 feet above the actual drumkit. Track Three has his floor tom with the microphone passing under the drum’s resonator head on the bottom. Track Four a mic for his tom 1 drum directly attached. Track Five was Krist’s bass and mic up of his amp placed in the same room as the other instruments and at times you can hear blead through from other things happening in the room. Track Six was Kurt’s vocal then track seven was Kurt’s guitar and Track Eight was free for either one vocal or guitar overdub which most times would be a rhythm guitar part that Jason Everman would play live. This in turn is also due to Nirvanas style being very noise rock adjacent at the time.

Bleach had a troubling process to begin the record label Nirvana was signed to at the time Sub-Pop was trying hard to stay afloat and thus couldn’t afford to pay the studio time necessary to record Bleach. So, Jason Everman the newest member of the band after Chad paid the entirety of the money necessary to produce and publish the Album. Granted he would tour with the band for the duration of their North American tour before being fired and joining Soundgarden.

“Blew” A more sludge metal take with the growly low distorted bass and aggressive guitar dives creates a song that invokes a sense of violence almost. Plus, Chad Channing delivers a impressive triplet groove that slides around the kit and makes it poppy. The bass growls on the opening track as well creating a heavy mosh sound.

Krist Novoselic Remembers Bass He Used in Nirvana: It Was Super Cheap, I Smashed It Every Night & It Still Sounded Good | Ultimate Guitar

“Floyd the Barber” is a heavier sludgy song through and through. Aggressive distortion meets bad production equipment. A lot of bleach is punk rock and the lead off track starts us right, Kurt uses a mixture of guitars most importantly a Mosrite guitar with two large humbuckers in the neck and bridge position. Which creates loud and almost oscillating tones.

Forgotten Classic: Nirvana 'Bleach' - Classic Album Sundays

“About a girl” Kurts Beatles song. Growing up Kurt Cobain was quite a Beatles friend and even as he got older and rowdier he found solace in Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper even so much as so constantly playing the song in Tracy Marander’s apartment to whom the song is about. The song is played with a very clean Strat sounding guitar with distortion on the solo. Alternatively, Chad Channing’s drum part is very rhythmic and matches the bass line.

NIRVANA “Bleach Era” 1989: Kurt Cobain - Krist Novoselic - Chad Channing - Jason Everman !!

“School” is a noise rock song and seemingly uses a fuzz effect as when I attempt to recreate the sound whenever I play my fuzz pedal does better than my distortion box. Also, the rhythm guitar part fills out the main chord progression of the song under the lead part a clever and very subtle use of that elusive Eighth track available to record with.

Nirvana's 'Bleach' to be Reissued as Blue Cassette

“Love Buzz” is well a burst of sound the guitars are tuned up a half step higher than normal and for a band that typically drop tunes a weird, distorted sound comes out.  Kurt’s guitar almost sounds metallic clanking together, while the Bass seems uncharacteristically low and eerie. The drumming is fantastic as the pace of the song is fast and hard to miss. The guitar solo features the rhythmic strums of a A major chord.

curious on your thoughts on jason everman in the band : r/Nirvana

“Paper Cuts” this track is heavy dark gloomy and scratchy it fits a certain aura that is just the right amount of painful noisy rock mixed with a slight cleanliness of production plus Dale Crover leads a hard and powerful drum track for the ages. Kurt did overdub with a feedback noise with his guitar close to his amp.

Melvins drummer Dale Crover recorded and briefly toured with Nirvana. Crover played bass in Cobain's first band, Fecal Matter, and played drums on Nirvana's ten song demo, as well as tracks on

“Negative Creep” is a song mostly composed of power slides, a technique where one strums an open string grab said string and slides up or down the fret board. This technique creates slight dissonance and harmonic screeches. Which happens whether accidentally or attentionally.

Melvins drummer Dale Crover has spoken to US shock jock Howard Stern about his decision to flee Nirvana just before Nevermind made the band global superstars."The millions of dollars would have been

This New life

To tell the truth, I didn’t think I would make so many friends in the first week. I thought I was go stay to myself but nope. I can say this type of things don’t happen to a lot of people so I’m glad that I get to have a opportunity like this. Yes we still have to ack like we have since lol. Even if we not staying home this school is out new home, but let me get to some of the things I liked so far.

So, so far  it’s been good. yea i have my time when I get sad but the best part is that we have people here that care bout us, but back on the good things. We have had our times outside when everybody would just be out, we’ll be playing music, playing cards game, playing basketball, and my favorite doing TikTok’s like the line dancing. I think my favorite memory in these 4 weeks would be the water day and the skating even doe some people did get hurt but it was so much fun.

Theses are my friends, yes they very fun to be around. I feel like I can always be myself around them and so I’m let y’all know why y’all reading this, I’m a verry nice person I can be weird but in a good way. I am a crybaby lol, and i do overthink a a lot but these kids don’t care they just like me for me, and yes i don’t play about them lol. But its more people I’m cool with I just feel like I’m always around them.

These two people are to funny, my boy best friend and my fake bae yes I said fake bae! me and my bsfn ( Melvin) been cool since camp. We got closer when we got here and taking classes together. He a very easy person to talk to so I’m glad I have somebody like him. We have my fake bae lol😂I can’t say her name at all so I’m not go even try to spell it! But she might have her days but when she do she still find a way to make sure I’m okay when I’m feeling down. I can tell her how I feel and she would really listen, and she’ll give good advice sometimes but I love her.

It’s more people I can go own about but for now I think this it, I love this school I do I might be ready to go home on weekends but I’ll be ready to come back lol.

Okay thx for reading my blog once aging have a nice dayy!!

Blank Title.

There are many different mediums of art. Some sing, some write, some cook, some paint. There are so many differences between these artists, how could they all be called artists? They have more differences than commonalities! Where would you find a similarity between a dancer and a pastry chef? Inspiration, that’s where.

Everyone knows that feeling of staring at something blank. A writer may stare at the white page of a word document with nothing coming to mind. A painter may tap a pencil on the corner of their sketchbook trying to think of something anything to make a thumbnail of. A cook may be missing something from a dish they just cannot pinpoint or worse can’t think of anything to put on their menu for that night. A singer may not hear anything that makes them want to give their vocals a stretch. A dancer may struggle to string choreography together to share the story they may be attempting to tell with their body.

As writers reading this, you especially are familiar with that blank page staring out at you. It says nothing to you because you are the one who must speak first. At times you may feel you could never write again. That you’re not a writer anymore because of some blank page or some writing that is not up to standards in your eyes. Everyone misses a shot once or twice when they shoot into the dark with no real target in mind. It’s not your fault that the line blinking at you seems to be mocking you for letting it just sit there stagnant. Your lack of inspiration is not your fault, but you must be the one to conquer it.

You cannot let the page be your enemy just as a culinary student cannot let their plating of less-than-ideal results hold them down. The disappointment you feel is only yours. People do not hate you over the fact that you drew one line wrong on a page. The blinking line or the stroke of your pen do not hate you; they are waiting for you. They want to see the things you can do with them when you have the materials. They cheer when you decide to at least sit in front of your blank page to just think. Feel no shame for a white screen. It’s just waiting to speak the words you give it. If it takes time, then it takes time. There isn’t a cure all for procrastination and lack of inspiration. There’s just you, you mind, and you page lying in wait.

I hope y’all enjoyed this week’s post!! I couldn’t really think of anything to write this week, so I decided to write about not writing. I’ve talked about my interests in my other posts, so this time I wanted everyone to understand what I was talking about. Struggling actually won in my favor this time haha!! Well, I’ll see y’all here next week. ByeBye!!

Wishbone

I have been listening to an album on repeat ever since it came out. I think I’ve listened to it enough to have a good grasp on it and so I want to talk a little bit about it.

I have listened to all of Conan Greys music (not an over exaggeration). I love the way he writes. He makes words flow and fit together in the best way possible. Now he has had a new album come out. This album is called “Wishbone”.

He named the album wishbone after the 30ft wishbone in the Dallas airport. I thought this was an important fact due to how it shows this album is personal to him. I think it shows how he let himself be free of others through this album.

His first album I ever listened to was “Kid Krow” (this is also his first album ever also known as a debut album

As soon as I heard his lyrics, I knew i had to listen to more of his music. I went back and listened to some of his earlier singles. He had a second album come out in 2022, called “Superache”.

This album was okay in my opinion. He also released a third album called “Found Heaven”.

1.90.3-FP4ZYKOB4P7COCU2AT5KIZHLEI.0.1-9

I think this album was okay too. I personally think that these two albums weren’t him. I think it was more of what he thought people wanted him to create and not what he wanted to create. He in my opinion was creating for others rather than himself. Don’t get me wrong I love Conan Greys music, but these albums just didn’t feel like him. The new, most recent album, “Wishbone” however is a different store. It feels like he wrote it for him.

Wishbone I feel has more raw and real emotion than his previous two, more in line with “Kid Krow”. His lyrics are deeper and go beyond surface level. His imagery is back on track. He paints pictures and stories with his words in each song.  I don’t want to go too in-depth about each song, but I am going to talk about my favorite song out of the new album, and I will give my ranking of the songs.

My favorite song in this album is “Eleven Eleven”, closely followed by “Romeo”.  “Eleven Eleven” captures the wishbone aspect of the album. It has imagery of what people wish on like stars, angel numbers, and clovers. It also references to quite a few superstitious actions which add even more to the wishing aspect of this album. This song also has a great beat and his words all fit together and flow. He uses words like puzzle pieces to create a picture; each word is intentionally placed. Each rhyme is thought out. Conan Grey also has a way with creating bridges that is perfect. Most of his bridges are incredible.

My ranking of the songs in “Wishbone” are

  1. Eleven Eleven
  2. Romeo
  3. Nauseous
  4. Connell
  5. This Song
  6. Caremel
  7. Actor
  8. Vodka Cranberry
  9. Class Clown
  10. Care
  11. Sunset Tower
  12. My World

This list was very hard to make and will probably change over time but as of right now that is my rough list of the songs from my favorite to least favorite. (This is of course an opinion, not everyone feels or will feel the same)

So, I think Conan Grey, just like most people, had to lose himself and explore before finding himself.

The Witcher: the BEASTIARY and CRAFTINGS (game related)

As I said I would, I’m covering some more of the basics when it comes to The Witcher more specifically to the GAME I’m having to write notes on the lore right now to figure out how to summarize it, it’s very similar to the show Arcane for having multiple stories in one big world.)

WARNING:

I’m very appreciative of some of the comments left about wanting to read The Witcher books but I must warn you, these books are not the typical book. It’s a hard read with very vivid graphic imagery of A LOT OF adult content, so if you’re one to get squeamish when it comes to guts, blood, sex, drinking, death, sometimes sexism, it’s not for you. SOME BOOKS WILL NOT ALWAYS BE GERALT BASED. ITS A BIG WORLD.

The same can be said about the game. Giving you actual real time scenery of what is going on. (Admittedly for it to still be considered content appropriate, the game does censor some of the more intimate scenes with even a skip button, however violence and killing in the game, beasts and other humans is mandatory for the plot. Sorry, can’t skip that and you will get graphic, small, in game, quick cutscenes. A common one being a quick decapitation if fighting a human or lesser monster.)

I would absolutely love to explain more of the books to you, however even I am in the process of still reading these books. (I’ve read the first one like 3 times because I’m trying to buy them all in the same cover.) I can however tell you LOTS about the games!

Being a very late fan into the Witcher most of the previous game (1 and 2) are unavailable to me so Instead I already have the Witcher Three: The Wild Hunt.

YOU NEED TO KNOW THESE FOR THE GAME:

I, when I was about 12 years old when I played this game, I was amazed at so much thought and detail went into the game but most importantly I loved the BEASTIARY and CRAFTING/BLACKSMITHING so much because I found them out SO LATE! (I had the same armor through the entire game and was dying VERY easily, lol)

This above is the BEASTIARY!

If you can’t tell what that is above, that my friend is a Fiend. Kinda looks like a Wendigo, doesn’t it? Well, what if I told you the wendigo and another beast called a Leshen were actually pretty similar?

Figuring this, can you guess what the BEASTIARY is?

If you guessed a journal or logbook for certain beasts and magical entities or races (including people) then you’d be correct.

The BEASTIARY is a perfect dictionary of sorts that helps you identify your creature you are hunting. Its lore, where it comes from, if it has similar brethren in different regions, what its weak to, using oils, silver, steel and what sign you must use.

Brief Sign disclosure: Its Witcher magic (will be covered in the lore blog sometime soon, not the next.)

If you look up “Bestiary Witcher 3”, a wide variety of images will show you different entities under their respective races recorded section.

A lot of these drop-down menus show you what they are

For example:

Beasts:

wolf,

wild dog,

bear

etc.

Necromancers:

Ghouls,

Alghouls

etc.

So on, so forth.

Now again, you wanna pay attention to the small image of the fiend at the top. Refer to the small three or 4 boxes at the bottom of its figure, that’s where you will find its vulnerabilities!

CRAFTING/BLACKSMITHING:

oh boy the one thing YOU DEFINETLY WILL HAVE TO DO PROGRESSILVLY throughout the game. Guys…your swords can dull and break! PAY THEM HEED!’ so will your armor!

It is important that you keep an eye on your screen when you see a small diagram pop up on the left-hand side with red armor or swords. Thats an indicator that your equipment is very weak! (Id show you but there no picture found)

So instead, you’ll need this: A repair kit(s)

(One will usually do it; that’s just the quantity of how many this person has.)

These can be found or bought in local cities or found out in the open world.

Its kinda small and I’m sorry but below is the crafting menu:

This is where you will make your potions, oils, bombs, fabrics and other materials for your travels. Diagrams you collect on your journey (aka The Path) will aid you in discovering new items and essentials to crafting new armor or swords. YOU WILL NEED TO DO THIS!

Do not be like 12-year-old me way back when and though that your weak little swords and armor will last you, IT WON’T!

Trade, craft, go to a blacksmith (it’s a very similar menu like the one above) This is a very slice of life game, you HAVE to play this game like you’re desperately trying to survive.

With your (hopefully new or restored) armor and weapons you will need to go out and deliberately slice and dice monsters or harvest plants. The tutorial in the game walks you through this phase.

What it doesn’t always tell you is that if you have a sort of Alcohol in your inventory, Dwarven spirit, then your health potion once you craft it: Swallow, will regenerate once you meditate.

Meditating is a key factor in resting and regenerating health, magic, toxicity, stamina, and health items/oils.

To think these are the basics is quite the stretch since I learned these so late! So, if you decide to play the game (Available on ps4-psf5, Xbox one, Xbox series s-x, PC or Nintendo switch) you now know ahead of time to know what to look out for. Sometime people forget things, so I hope this blog was helpful if you ever forget a key detail on your Path.

(Preferably, when looking for the game look for the one labeled COMPLETE EDITION you get the full pack of DLC’s and extra equipment to hunt and I wouldn’t recommend PS4 or Nintendo switch cause sometimes issues will occur frequently, meaning you may burn/overheat your console.)

THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING, Its long yet necessary for game depth. And I only covered two factors, next will be navigations of the map, menus, and level differences and gaging, contracts/treasure hunts and currency. Yeah…

The plan:

Next Wednesday, 9/3/25: Menus and levels.

The Wednesday after, 9/10/25: Map nav and Bounty/treasure/currency.

9/17/25: Meat and potatoes of the Lore (AROUND GERALT!)

The game itself can tell you lore about what’s going on with the world, hence why it’s an open world adventure for a reason.

(I won’t be stuck on the Witcher for too much longer.)

A Game of Thrones

Welcome back to my blog, I hope everyone reading is doing well. If you couldn’t tell by the title today’s topic is Game of Thrones. To my knowledge it’s a very popular series, the show being a bit more popular than the books. Don’t quote me on that I don’t know for sure. Anyways yesterday I went to the library and checked it out. My cousin Jordan is a big fan of Game of Thrones, like a really big fan. She’s a big enough fan to buy themed charms for her pandora bracelet. From her talking about it (and seeing edits on TikTok) I gradually got interested. So, I’ll let y’all know how I feel about when I finish the book or maybe a few chapters in or maybe I won’t talk about it again at all. We’ll just have to see.

I’ll tell you what I know about Game of Thrones going into it. There is an extensive family tree, a lot of people with white hair, death, dragons, swords, and there’s a lot of really messed up traumatizing stuff that happens to basically every single character. I know that there’s braids, that too. Please wish me luck with my reading journey and possibly watching journey if I ever get HBO. There’s a lot of books for me to through, and if the books are any good, I might even join the fandom alongside my cousin.

I think Daenerys will be my favorite character, mostly because she’s played by Emilia Clarke and I love Emilia Clarke. She’s one of my favorite British people, along with Emma Watson. Has anyone reading this read or watched Game of Thrones? If so let me know and tell me what you thought about it.

I really want to watch some more edits of the show, but I feel like if I do that, I’m totally going to get spoiled. Not even just watching edits, I feel like if I look up anything regarding the show or the book on social media, I’m automatically going to get spoiled.

I heard that there’s also new spin offs being made so maybe I’ll check those out. I don’t know who the new spin-offs follow. To be completely honest I don’t really even know who Game of Thrones follows. Is it all about Daenerys or is she just a fan favorite? I reckon I’ll be figuring it out soon, once I open the book.

Thank you for reading this week’s blog post and please do return to listen to me yap.

Best Places to Travel

Hey y’all, it’s Lydia here. Flying in to be your guide to travel, with just a little bit of chaos. Sit down, and grab your wallet, because after this blog you’re going to be wishing you booked a plane ticket sooner. This week, we are going to take a deeper dive into all the best places to travel. Some of the places we are going to look at are what the majorly of the population think is the best. While some I just think are what I think is the best! But with the holidays coming they will be here before we know it, so let’s find the place to visit this break!

Let’s Jump on in, or should I say dive since we’re headed to an island, on in with the best places to travel to! We’re going to start with my personal favorite place Bali, Indonesia. Okay so I may be biased because I was born here, but it’s a great place. So now let’s take a deeper dive into why I think y’all should travel here. It’s literally an island what can’t you do. You have a whole ocean, many waterfalls to explore, you can go diving, explore the temples, visit a mask gallery, they even have a monkey forest sanctuary! Theres endless things to do in Bali from relaxing on the beach with their crystal-clear water with gorgeous views, to playing with monkeys. Bali has it all from relaxation to an adventurous time depending on what you’re going for now let’s dive into my next travel place!

Bali, Indonesia

Next up, we got such a great place to tour, you might not want to come home after booking a ticket. Soaking in the sun, getting a taste of street food, evening bike tours, visiting temples, floating markets, and its nightlife. If you couldn’t have guessed it already, we are coming in hot with Bangkok, Thailand. Now let’s break now the great stuff we can do in Bangkok. Let’s get a bigger idea of what we would do if we traveled here. Now we can jump on into talking about the temple. There is actually more to it than just looking at the outside if it! You can go to many of the temples, they do have some guidelines you need to follow, but the temples are so pretty and definitely worth the trip. Before we wrap this paragraph up let’s talk about the floating markets. A floating market is exactly what it sounds like locals will have fresh produce of a boat on the water.  That would be a great place to explore if you visit Bangkok, Thailand.

Floating Market https://pin.it/3pPs2iXvB

Last but not least, it’s a place I have never been to personally, but the people say it’s the best place to visit. So, let’s hype it up, and explore together! This is the one and only Swiss Alps which is located in the southern part of Switzerland. What do they have your probably asking? Well, they have what looks to be the calming feeling, alpine mountains, green hillsides, river landscapes, shimmering lakes, wintertime skiing, and summertime hiking. It’s a gorgeous fairytale, makes me want to go visit. Swiss Alps also does passes you can get to get a train rid to tour around, see their lovely scenic views, their magical place.

That concludes our travel plains this week hope y’all come back next week for our next adventure!

Curious George: A Halloween Boo Fest

This is my long-awaited Curious George post.

If you know me in real life, you know I am obsessed with Curious George. I own 3 Curious George DVD’s, one of them being Curious George: A Halloween BooFest.

Guys trust me, this is a PEAK Halloween movie. Like it doesn’t matter what kind of movies you like, scary, romantic, action, you will LOVE AHBF.

I mean a close runner up is Hocus Pocus, but that’s for another blog. So, the first thing I want to point out about this movie, is how fire the soundtrack is. If you’re looking for an amazing Halloween song, listen to “Kinda Sorta Haunted House.”

I also think it’s so cute how George looks up to The Man in the Yellow Hat for being “brave.” When he feels like he can’t do something because of fear, he just thinks about The Man fighting the No Noggin costume and how he keeps going even when he’s scared.

Also, I love how the whole objective of the movie is to find No Noggin a new head, and how it keeps us guessing if No Noggin is even real. After being disproved over and over, there’s always new evidence t0 show that it might be real. Like I said, George goes through with helping No Noggin to prevent people from losing their hats, even when he’s scared of him.

Now something I need opinions on, how do we feel about The Man in the Yellow Hat having a name. In the original show and books, he didn’t have a name, and it was something for us to kind of interpret. Well in the Curious George film, (2006) he is referred to as Ted. We later find out his full name is Theodore “Ted” Shackleford.

I honestly don’t like that he was given a name in the film. I feel like it would have been better to slowly drop it in the show, yet in the show he is still referred to as “The Man.” I don’t know that’s just my opinion.

Which I mean I get it since the film shows him before he met George, but I just think it’s confusing for people who have either not watched the film or have not watched the show.

Well anyways, that was my little post about Curious George. Expect a part 2 about the 2006 film in the near future.

Cya next week, thanks for reading. <3.

It’s a safe space.

bismuth

in season 3 ep 24 of steven universe steven travels inside lion and finds bismuth- as masculine blacksmith ready to lay her life down for the revolution. now this is why I don’t like her character.

bismuth character was focused on war and destruction, or she was rather blinded by it, I guess. she wanted to do whatever it took to kill the diamonds even if that meant killing other gems and of course rose happily agreed but deep-down rose knew she couldn’t let her do that because Suprise she was a diamond herself. killing one diamond would not be enough they needed to kill all of them. the writers made it seem as if that was bismuth whole character was made to be this bloodthirsty monster. she even built breaking point to shatter the diamonds.  bismuth attacked steven believing it was rose attempting to stop her mission once more, leading to her being bubbled, fortunately in the episode “made of honor” she gets unbubbled and talked to properly where steven explains rose quarts = pink diamond. honestly, they should’ve bought back other gems and let us hear their “war” stories too.

bismuth was and probably still is suffering from ptsd from the war. now she has a family willing to fight for her as she will for them. I don’t like how her character is shown in the show, but the episode overall was in my opinion meant to represent ptsd in people who go to wars, or people who are still grieving. she now resided in little home world as a blacksmith; she and many other characters might appear in lar’s new show.

do y’all like bismuths character?

what do you think about her design?
