Another Car Blog

So, last week I went home for the weekend early on Thursday. I was so excited because I knew I would be coming back with my car. The only reason I didn’t have it was because we needed to get the insurance and all the paperwork filled out. Well, we got all that done, so I was ready to take it to school. But first, I had to get through the weekend first.

This weekend was awesome, because it was the very first time I got to drive my car on my own. It was on the way home from school where I asked my mom if I could pick my brother up when he got out of school (I left really early in the morning.) That was the only excuse I had in that moment to drive on my own. Thankfully, she said yes. Later that day when I was already home, I got ready and went and picked him up. For the first time, I had total control over the music. Even when I’m driving, my mom dogs on my music and tells me to change it constantly. But now, I got to blast the music as loud as I wanted and listen to whatever I wanted. My brother was embarrassed when I got to his school with music playing really loud, but at least it was Radiohead and not Niki Minaj or something. Later, I was supposed to see my nephew, but stuff didn’t work out. So, instead I took my brother to Gulfport to get popeyes and we drove around for a while. Later we got ice cream, and I had so much fun driving on my own.

The next day I picked him up again, and something awesome happened. I got to see my favorite teacher from Long Beach again. We got to talk while I waited on my brother to come out (he took forever). When he got in the car, another teacher I really liked came by and said hi. When we all were done, me and my brother left and went to McDonalds. We ate that right up and then got back on the road again, where I just drove along the beach with my music playing. It was so fun. After that, my mom called us home, so I drove back.

If you didn’t know, I used to live in Gautier, Ms before I lived in Long Beach. So, Gautier is where my best friend lives. Sadly, because we don’t live by each other anymore, I haven’t seen him since the summer. So, I decided that Saturday was the day I would fix that. I hoped in my car, and I drove the 45 minutes over there. The drive was not that bad at all, and I had a lot of fun getting there. When I got there, he hopped in my car, and I started driving around to see all the old places I went to a lot. Places like my old home and my old schools. There was one restaurant that I loved, but I didn’t get to go that day sadly. We spent the whole day driving around and going to different beaches. We ended the day at his house where we ate dinner. After that, I drove back home and went to bed.

Then came Sunday. This was the day I had to drive the three hours all the way back to school. But I’ve already done this drive two other times with my mom in the car and I did fine, so there wasn’t really anything I was worried about. The whole drive was pretty smooth other than me having to slam on my break twice because of other people. But I was fine. I made it to the school in one piece and got my parking pass to keep my car on campus.

Diving my car around on my own has taught me two things. I need to get my AC fixed and driving with your mom sucks. I didn’t realize how fun driving was until she wasn’t yelling at me every time I made a mistake. It was sooooo freeing. Okay, that’s it for my yap sesh.

Bugsnax- An LGBT game I love

Bugsnax - PS4 & PS5 Games | PlayStation (US)

Bugsnax is a game where you play as a photographer and go off to this island to interview a woman who made a colony there. The woman named Lizbert (below) found an island like no other, where these animals called Bugsnax live. The Bugsnax, as shown in the picture above, are animals/insects fused with foods, and when you eat the food, they become a part of your body. She moved to this island with a group of others to make a new life, but everything went wrong when she went missing.

Bugsnax

So, Bugsnax has many interesting things about it, but of course when I played this like two years ago, I was interested in why it was under the LGBT tag in the shop. I downloaded the game while it was free on gamepass and I indulged. In the game we are on a flying ship that gets wrecked into by this giant creature, which turned out to be a large pepperoni pizza! We first meet Filbo who is the blue monster in the first picture, and he tells us he was out looking for Bugsnax. He was the vice mayor of the little community they had, but everyone was separated, so really our main goal was to get the town back together. So, you’ll never guess who my favorite two in the game were…

BUGSNAX - Snorpy e Chandlo de volta a cidade - PT-BR #10 - YouTube

So, I’m definitely lying when I say these two are my favorite, I think. My favorite couple is actually this lady who sings for this guy which is cute but not the point. Meet Chandlo and Snorpy. They were literally roommates. When these two left they went to live in this cabin on the mountains. Snorpy never left the house, so Chandlo gave us the task to convince him to touch grass. They have this odd homoerotic relationship, and it’s clear they both have feelings for each other, but Snorpy is too afraid to say anything. But when you convince one of them to go back, the other follows.

Before we move on. There is a party near the end when you get everyone back to the village. Snorpy is talking to us and he’s all like, man I really like Chandlo, but I don’t think he likes me. So, we convince Snorpy to confess, and apparently Chandlo thought they had been together for years before they kissed on a Ferris wheel. WHAT? They drive me insane, but I love them so much sigh…

EGGABELL LIVES! | Bugsnax (Let's Play Part 10) - YouTube

This is Eggabell, Lizbert’s wife or girlfriend, I’m not sure which. But when we first arrived, she wasn’t there, but we had seen the two in tapes at the beginning of the game. I think this is our first meeting with her, where we find a clue on where Lizbert disappeared to. We have to get into these big stone doors and go inside of them with Eggabell, who is not leaving until she gets Lizbert back.

Bugsnax Ending Explained | What is the end credit scene, the Grumpinati ...

When we get into the big stone doors, we find Lizbert like this. She explains that Bugsnaxs are evil. Which I knew from the beginning! So, I may be remembering this weird, but I think Eggabell fuses with Lizbert into that nasty creature you see in the picture above, and they hold off the Bugsnax while we get back to the village to help everyone get off.

Let’s talk about the ending I got. Bugsnax is a game with multiple endings because at the village you have to do challenges to hold the Bugsnax back while fixing your ship.. and you’ll never guess who died after my first playthrough… SNORPY. Oh my god, it was the saddest moment in my life to watch him die, IN FRONT OF CHANDLO. Everyone lived except him, it was literally all my fault </3 So guess what, when we made it back to actual civilization, I spoke to Chandlo. He was all like, yeah, I’ll miss him, and I wish I could’ve stopped it- At this point I’m crying real tears. So, a few months ago, I bought the game for like 8 dollars, it was on sale, and I am in the process of replaying it, so I don’t kill Snorpy. Anyways, that was my experience with Bugsnax!

Part 3 of My “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” Review/Ramble

So let’s hop right back in. Chuck has just disappeared into thin air, and the whole time he was being chased down by this water-logged, black haired, glob of a creature, Ramon and Stella have been reading. They watched Chuck’s story actively being written, knowing that meant he was being killed (?), and yet they didn’t show up until right after he disappeared.

Now it’s just Ramon and Stella and everything looks pretty bleak. However, while Chuck was going through it, Ramon and Stella were doing research about Sarah Bellows (aka, reading through her medical records) and they found out about the abuse she had faced from her entire family. Sarah had a relative who worked at the mental hospital where she was institutionalized and would use his position of power to manipulate and gaslight her. It’s believed she killed him, and many other of her family members, though Stella believes that means that Sarah wrote stories about them and then the bad things happened (rather than Sarah commiting the violent acts herself).

Ramon and Stella end up getting arrested for breaking into the hospital. Stella calls her dad from jail, and it’s actually a really emotional and sweet scene. She basically tells him that she’s afraid she’s going to die or go missing and that if she does, she wants him to know that she loves him. Then the evil police officer shows up to harass Ramon for skipping the draft and tell Stella she’s free to leave. Stella tries to explain that everything going on is because of Sarah Bellows and her magic book, but the evil cop couldn’t care less. He locks Ramon and Stella in separate cells for the night. Ramon and Stella have a sweet moment, but I don’t care to harp on that arc too much.

Anyways, Stella left Sarah Bellows’ book on the cop’s desk and he (the cop) notices that a new story starts being written in it. He asks if Ramon and Stella are somehow writing it, but of course they aren’t. When they hear a new story is being written, they freak out and insist they’re gonna die, but the cop is too dumb to care. This story is about Ramon, and he recognizes that pretty quickly because he recognizes the monster that’s coming after them. This is the Jangly man, easily one of the most terrifying monsters in this whole movie in my opinion. The cop thinks he can just shoot it, but obviously it’s not that easy. Ramon and Stella manage to get free from the cells while the evil cop battles the Jangly man. This next part is blurry but I believe Ramon hijacks a police car to try and drive away from the Jangly man, while Stella takes the book and runs back to the Bellows house.

Once at the Bellows house, it’s almost like Stella enters a time loop (similar to what happened to Chuck in the closet scene) because everything is restored to its original condition from all those years ago. There are ghosts/visions (??) of the Bellows family running around the house- The mother is yelling about how Sarah got out and the boys need to go find her and bring her back. Except, they find Stella and believe she is Sarah, so they take her and lock her down in the basement. This is where Stella and Sarah finally meet, and Stella confronts her about how she’s becoming the monster that everyone accuses her of being. Then Stella gets Sarah’s magic pen that writes with blood (her own blood) and Stella rewrites Sarah’s history so that she can be remembered in a more honest and forgiving way, rather than blamed to be a monster as most people choose to view her as. Then the house rumbles and shifts and Stella’s back in the present timeline. She finds Ramon and they rejoice, even though their friends are dead/missing.

The movie ends with the reveal that Stella has been writing all of this as a memoir of sorts- another one of her stories, though it is a true one. She mentions that Auggie and Chuck are still missing, but implies a sequel by hinting that she plans on getting them back. The very end of the movie, which is my favorite scene by far, reveals that Stella and her dad broke Ruth out of the mental hospital and they all drive off into the sunset. Also Ramon goes to Vietnam, but that felt like an afterthought. Anyways, roll credits.

OKAY. So let’s get into how I think the sequel should be handled. I think the ending of the movie itself sets up some pretty concrete ideas for a second movie. We have a new magical object; a pen that writes with blood and can write or rewrite history. We have the same main character, Stella, but she’s grown as a person and has a new side character, Ruth. We still have the social/political side plot of the war and everything else going on in the late 60s, early 70s, and with two female leads, we could have a lot of interesting conversations about feminism in the B-plot.

The main conflict is pretty obvious; we gotta get Chuck and Auggie back. I imagine they’re gonna be pretty traumatized from their stories and this second movie would have a perfect opportunity to tackle themes of PTSD and trauma. Auggie’s story had a lot to do with food and then he ended up getting pulled away from under his bed, so I could imagine him developing disordered eating habits and possibly a fear of something being under his bed. Chuck clearly developed a fear of red, specifically red rooms, but I could also see him becoming afraid of being alone, considering his story only happened when he separated from Ramon and Stella.

On top of that, I could imagine a conflict of the characters arguing about whether or not they should bring Tommy back. If they do, maybe he’s even more evil and he becomes the new villian. Maybe he will become their friend. Probably not, but who knows. What about all the other people written into Sarah’s stories? Should they unwrite them, and if they do, what does that mean for them and their town? What about the monsters in the book? Could they get free, now that Sarah is gone?

Now what about the magical item, what’s the give back? All magic has an equal and opposite reaction, or whatever the laws of magic are. You can’t use magic without paying a price. Well, considering this pen writes with her literal blood, I imagine Stella having many fainting spells and becoming ill from blood loss/low blood pressure. She could be risking her life to save her friends. That is another huge piece of tension that could affect all of the characters. I also wonder if there could be another element of Stella becoming power hungry to some extent. In the first movie, she, Chuck, and Auggie are portrayed as the outcast weird kids of their school, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Stella became somewhat obsessed with having the ability to control history with a pen and paper. I also wonder if there is some element of darkness to the pen, which is what made Sarah Bellows evil in the first place. I’m not sure, but this would be an interesting plot point and way to build more tension between the main characters.

As for Ramon, I don’t really care what happens to him. I don’t know why they wrote him off to the war. I imagine that we’ll get scenes of Stella writing letters to him. Maybe we’ll get a subplot about him not writing back and everyone being worried he died. Maybe they’ll actually kill him off. I don’t care too much about him.

As for NEW characters, I hope we get some more actors of color in this film. I’d love to have more scenes with Lou Lou and her daughter- Maybe they have more family members that are closer in age to Stella and her friends. Maybe Lou Lou’s daughter and Stella’s dad have a fling- I don’t know, I’m just spitballing ideas here. On the topic of new couples in the second  movie though, I want Chuck and Auggie to finally confess their love for each other or I swear to god I’ll lose it. I don’t care that it’s the 60s, gay people are everywhere. I can imagine (aka I’ve already written the fanfiction) the two of them growing from their trauma, bonding further over their shared trauma, and healing/coping together (because they’re the only people who can truly understand what they both went through).

For the big finish of the movie, it depends on the route taken, but I figure it’ll be a cacophony of Sarah Bellows’ undead family members coming back with a vengeance, Stella battling any ailments brought on by the blood-ink pen as well as any evil curses that might be trying to control her, and the big question will be how do we rewrite the undead Bellows’ stories so they don’t kill us, while also not rewriting Chuck, Auggie, Ruth, and Ramon’s stories? Or maybe it’ll tie back to The Night of the Living Dead (which they were watching at the drive-in theater in the first movie) and they’ll have to fight the undead off like zombies. I’m not sure about how I think this second movie should end, but that’s something we’d figure out more and more as the writing process goes along. And maybe one day I’ll have a full script for this second movie and I’ll force you guys to read that too. We shall see.

Anyways, thank you for reading this ramble. This movie is so dumb, but genuinely one of my favorite things ever. Even if it’s to hate watching the plot, I highly suggest checking it out. It’s scary, but it’s also beautiful, visually, and it has some amazing CGI, costuming, and special effects.

Deadstock and the Problem with the Textile Industry.

As we get nearer to Earth Day, I’ve been thinking about the fashion industry a lot more. One thing that I’ve been thinking about is deadstock. Deadstock is a term used for many kinds of fabric. Tulle and chiffon can be deadstock, as can leather. Deadstock fabric, by definition, is fabric from a textile mill or designer that has been either left over from a project or completely unused. Most of the time, deadstock can be thought of as the scraps left over from that pretty skirt you saw at Target the other day, but sometimes, designers leave over entire bolts of fabric that can’t be used for other projects. It can also be fabric intended for a specific project or buyer from textile mills that could have been unintentionally altered during the manufacturing process, which has now been rendered unable to be used by the buyer for said intended projects. Now, these scraps and mistake pieces of fabric would normally go to the trash, then into landfills where it would take centuries to break down if it were polyester or some other polymer-based textile, but, taking and selling them as deadstock pieces allow smaller designers to help out the environment by using these pieces to create a completely new garment, one with a completely unique vision, since no two scraps are ever the same. Using deadstock pieces, designers are able to reuse fabrics and keep larger producers from contributing to landfills.

Polymers are normally classified in the textile industry as any natural or synthetic substance made from large molecules that are combined from several smaller units called monomers. Monomers have the ability to group together and form a long chain through a process called polymerization. Natural polymers can include starches and proteins, things you’d normally find in potatoes as that starchy white residue left over on your knife when you slice them up, or in meats and poultry as proteins. Synthetic polymers are composed of petroleum oil (which you can get from the fossils of ancient marine life or zooplankton, and is also sometimes called crude oil) which is manmade and comes from engineers and scientists who have to refine it before use. Petroleum oil is then turned into things like Teflon (which contains PFAS, dangerous chemicals for the human body when consumed), epoxy, polyethylene, and polyester. The most common polymers used in the textile industry are usually composed of nylon and polyester-based polymers. Things like wool, silk, cotton, and cashmere are natural products, while things like acetate, rayon, olefin, polyester, and nylon are synthetics. We’ve been using natural hair and textiles to make clothes for millenia, but with the introduction of animal cruelty programs like PETA (which I fully support, by the by) we have had to move to synthetics. The only thing with this switch, though, is while it takes away from animals being farmed for their furs or hides, it also creates a bigger problem for the environment as a whole. Synthetic fabrics are prized for their lower price point and their durability, but this durability comes as a problem. With synthetics being so durable, nature cannot break them down as easily as natural fabrics. This means that they accumulate in landfills and in nature, creating obstacles for local wildlife when they are dumped in unsanctioned areas. Now, this wouldn’t be a problem if we could just keeps the clothes we buy, but with the emergence of fast fashion trends, humans are buying and disposing of clothes at an alarming rate, increasing the amount being sent to landfills astronomically. If we were doing this with naturals, I don’t think it would be as big of a problem (it still would be a problem, don’t get me wrong), but that makes clothes less accessible and more expensive. There are some companies that have adopted recycling other polymers, like the plastic from water bottles, to create synthetic clothing, but this still poses a problem when the garment is disposed of, as it goes to the exact same place as that plastic bottle would’ve gone. Deadstock could possibly solve this problem. If designers and big brands began using deadstock fabrics and selling whatever scraps they use, there would be much less waste taking up space in landfills. Though, using deadstock is not at all a silver bullet. It still has to be paired with more eco-conscious initiatives on the part of the companies such as making less clothes altogether, and on the part of the consumer such as buying less clothes and reusing your preloved items. I know it sounds sickeningly optimistic, but I think we can genuinely make our home a much better place if we hold ourselves and large corporations more accountable when it comes to our fashion, even though it is largely on the corporations, as most of the time, they are the ones indiscriminantly dumping things around as if they expect some maid to come clean up after them. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my ramble about fashion this week.

Much love,

Garfield Logan / Beast Boy (2nd fav character)

Backstory

When beast boy was a child, he contracted a very rare disease called Sakutia. His birth parents got the DNA from animals that were resistant to this disease and injected a serum into him. He was cured of this disease, but it turned his skin green and made him able to transform into any animal he wants. His first time transforming was when his family was cornered by a Black Mamba snake. he transformed into the snake to protect his family that is also the time they found out that any animal he turns will be green.

After both of his parents died, he was taken in by the local tribe leader. though he found a new family the witch family in the family hated him and tasked to Americans to kill Garfield for the location of a temple they were seeking but the temple collapsed and as revenge they took Garfield back to the states so they could use him to commit crimes for them. when the got back to the states they betrayed one another in which they both ended up killing one another which left Garfield all Alone.

Gar soon met Elasti-Girl and Mento the leader and member of the doom patrol and adopted him

Teams

I couldn’t find a lot of information on his time in the doom patrol, but he was in doom patrol. He was also in titan’s west which also didn’t provide a lot of information.

the team that if you haven’t been hiding under a rock you should know about. The Teen Titans a group comprised of superhero teens with Robin being the leader, Ravin being the witch or the most powerful, Starfire being the kind alien with no sense of the world, Cyborg the person that dc can’t decide to either be on the justice league or the teen Titians, and Beast boy the funny slash comedy relief. I’m not going to speak to much on beast boy in the teen titans because there are way too many iteration and ways he3s been changed regarding the teen titian but what I do recommend you watching is Young Justice season 3 and the rest soon after because you can see his progression as a character in full in a way that my explaining may not do it justice get it Justice.

Feats

Beast boy once turned into Barro a Galaxy level threat

in the comic where everyone in the dc universe is in the Middle Ages and Batman is Superman half-brother beast boy her can transform into a dragon.

Today I woke up and I felt inspired to create a world. I don’t get inspired a lot, so I knew that this was something special. For the longest time I’ve been interested in creating universes. Especially in fantasy writing. I used to read tons of fantasy books when I was a kid, and I admired many authors for creating amazing and complex worlds. My goal for any story is to create a world my readers can question, be fascinated in, and enjoy. This takes time and focus and a lot of planning. I want to start creating a base for the world first and then expand on the small details as I learn more about it. With that being said, I have so many thoughts and ideas that could potentially be a short story or whatever. But I also know that universes take a lot of effort to create and I’m also wondering if I have the ideas to flesh this out.  Universes are cool but It’s kind of hard to maintain them and remember the small details about them. One thing I’ve learned about writing in general is to have an open mind about characters and universes. There have been many instances where I have created the groundwork for a character, and they didn’t have the traits they began with later in the story. I don’t think this is a bad thing because it teaches you that writing isn’t always a mind task. Sometimes you can be influenced by the world around you and an entirely different story is created. Some people can maintain their initial thoughts for a story, but for me it’s hard to get back to my previous ideas. For a while I was so burnt out with writing, I think this is because I was trying to adhere to something that didn’t work for me. I forgot that the best part about writing was to indulge in your process and experiences. Without this it’s hard to write something that you will enjoy. This is unrelated to the earlier topic, but me and a writer friend of mine were talking about being burnt out because of writing assignments. The problem was that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy other writing projects because we had to meet deadlines. Eventually I admitted that I was absolutely exhausted with work. I told her that I barely got any other work done aside from my assignments because I was so burnt out by the time I completed my work. This burn out would last until another assignment was due and I had to push through to meet that deadline. Luckily, she told me that she understood and experienced this as well. She said that writing became more like homework when she started taking classes, but what helped her was personal writing. She said that taking time to write something you enjoy can help you find the reason you wanted to pursue the craft. And y’all, this was pretty good advice. I was slightly inspired by her love and persistence for writing, but I also knew I needed help to get out of my dry patch. So, I pushed through and wrote a small paragraph about the moon. It was relieving and I was happy to be writing again, even if it was only a few sentences. This was about a month ago, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Also, I’ll post my fantasy universe draft when I finish it.

Hide and Seek

Tw: Mention of blood and a wound

Here is the story of how I once split my head open, and my mom didn’t find out until a decade later. When I was three or four, I used to play hide-and-seek with my cousins and older brother. We played all around our small neighborhood. My cousin Cameron, who is now in his early twenties, was always the seeker while I hid with my other cousins. One of our favorite hiding spots was the bed of my uncle’s truck. Cameron was barely tall enough to see into it, so it was the easiest place to hide. We were climbing out of the truck after we had been found, and my older brother was trying to put the tailgate back up. It slipped out of his hands and hit me on the head.

I blacked out and rolled to the curb; blood was all over the driveway. My cousin, who wasn’t much older than my brother, picked me up and tried to carry me up the stairs before slipping. Then Cameron picked me up and took me to my aunt who then handed me to my dad. My dad was panicked, he didn’t know what to do. I blacked out again and found myself in the backseat of the car, passing the giraffe on Highway 49 in Gulfport. We were on the way to the hospital.

I blacked out again and woke up in a loud machine with headphones on. Unfamiliar country music was playing. I started squirming, which made the technician restart the scan. Everything was fine, just an open wound on my head. I got a sucker and was on my way home. I remember retelling this story to my mom when I was about thirteen; she had no idea that anything like this had happened since she was at work that day. My family all kept it a secret from her.

Tomodachi Life 2026!

On the morning of Thursday, March 27, I swear I felt the ground shake and I thought I heard the roar of a cheering crowd. Then I forgot about it. That night, I opened TikTok to see that I had received a message from an old friend. The post she sent might as well have been a national emergency alert, announcing “Tomodachi Life 2026!”

I read this, looked at the background (which looked like clips of a trailer), and jumped out of bed. I held my breath until I searched it up and, to my complete shock, it was REAL. Then I celebrated, thanked my friend for sending me that post, and found the original trailer myself.

So apparently, the Nintendo Direct came out and I was completely unaware of it. I scrolled through the long list of trailers, announcements, and teasers to see the official Tomodachi Life video posted last.

I’ve made an entire blog about Tomodachi Life before, so I’m not going to discuss my memories or experience with it again. But I definitely want to talk about the Nintendo Direct trailer and my opinions on Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream!

I’ve watched this 1 minute and 7 second video countless times, trying to pick it apart as much as I can. The main things that I noticed were the insane graphics, upgraded Mii customization, and the island.

I’ll start with the whole look of it. I remember my first thought was “this looks like Animal Crossing: New Horizons.” Of course, ACNH takes place on an island and so does Tomodachi Life, but the palm trees, furniture, and flowers in the announcement video look incredibly similar to ones in ACNH. I don’t have a problem with it, I think the ACNH graphics are amazing. I just thought it was really interesting. I have a really soft spot for the old 3DS graphics, though. There’s something about them that’s just so humble and charming, I’m still figuring out how I feel about this new look.

The Miis definitely upgraded with the environmental graphics. You can see that most of them look like they have dyed hair or some sort of highlights. Also, they have ears! It looks like we will get some new hairstyles, clothes, and Mii customization options. But that’s the bare minimum considering it’s been over 10 years, it’s just great to see!

Now I’ll be honest, I’m worried about the island. The first thing I noticed was the lack of apartments. Where are they? I feel like the apartments are the most iconic part of Tomodachi Life! How am I going to spy on my Miis with no apartments? It’s just not the same with houses… In the original game, your Miis moved into houses after they got married and it was a huge achievement! I feel like this might take away that feeling of accomplishment if everyone has a house. Another thing that made me really nervous was how insanely flat the island is and the “Quik Build” store. To me, this hints at the ability to decide and build things with complete freedom. I really don’t like this implication. I’m just afraid that we’ll have another ACNH situation where the game (in my eyes) failed because it had too much customization.

You could literally rebuild your whole island, decide where everyone would live, and even decide how their houses would look. It was just too much and had barely any limitations. In ACNH, it felt like you were some sort of great leader even though you were just another member of the island. You couldn’t even customize that much when you were the mayor in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

I didn’t mean to complain about ACNH, I’m just really passionate about both of these games, and I’m really anxious about how Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will be.

Let’s discuss the things I do like! I’m really happy that Nintendo decided to keep the original Mii designs and voices! After seeing Nintendo Switch Sports, I developed a fear that Miis would get completely erased in Nintendo games. To some extent, I understand it. Miis were a huge mascot for the Wii, and as Nintendo moves away from that beautiful staple in my childhood and onto the Switch (and now Switch 2?!), I’m sure they want to move on to new things. But seeing my beautiful Miis back for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream gave me so much hope. Also hearing their robotic voices rather than unnerving AI voices (that they very much could’ve used, but didn’t!) gave me so much joy. All this to say, we are SO BACK!

More images from the Nintendo Direct:

They are SO tiny! I think all 4 of these characters have new hairstyles. Also, the flower effects are adorable. I feel like I’ve seen the fence, lamp post, and table and chairs in ACNH before. Also, see that city in the background? Very interesting… I just can’t get over how cute and tiny the Miis are! My babies…

Look at that blue-eyed stare. How charming.

This is a scene from a Mii’s dream. I’ve already seen a lot of edits of these two Miis being lovers. My TikTok algorithm knows me so well. I’m actually really happy that this might mean we have crazy dreams again. That was one of my favorite features. I would stay up late just to see all my Miis’ dreams.

This image really shows off how amazing this game looks. Also, I’m really digging this Mii’s look.

I’m incredibly excited for this game to come out. We don’t even know the exact month it’s releasing, but I’m already looking forward to the entire year of 2026. This actually really hits my heart in a way that I didn’t expected it to. After so many years of dreaming about a Tomodachi Life 2, I just gave up. It was hard to let go, but I did. And then, when I least expect it, I find out our prayers were actually heard after I had already given up and stopped caring! I feel mixed emotions as I play on a new Tomodachi Life island (named Stephtown). Of course, I’m so happy about it, but I’m also worried it’s not going to be everything I’ve dreamed of for the past few years.

Also, it’s releasing the same year that I’m graduating. I was 8 when I started playing Tomodachi Life. I’ll be 18 when Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream releases. That’s a sickening realization.

My Spider-Mobile

Okay, So I got a car and I’m sure everybody knows that because I made sure y’all did. But, I have yet to make it my own. I only drove it during spring break, and it had to stay at home until this next go home weekend. So, I decided to make an amazon wish list of all the stuff I want to put in it to decorate it. Now, obviously it’s all going to be Spider-Man stuff. Well, also the stuff Kendra wants to put in to decorate it.

The care has a few problems with the interior. The seats have tiny burn holes in them and the driver’s side visor is only attached by one clip. These are things that I can quickly fix with just one buy though. I just need to buy a replacement clip for the visor and then seat covers. I was going to get Spider-Man seat covers, but I figured that would be too much. I think I’m going to keep the Spider-Man stuff to small things that aren’t too big like seat covers are.

My license plate doesn’t have a cover, so when I’m driving, all you can hear is it banging around at every bump. My fix to this to stay on theme is to buy a Spider-Man license plate cover. It’s not a big thing that can be an eyesore, so I think it would be perfect. I also found one that came with a matching steering wheel cover, so I will probably be getting that too. Then, I found seatbelt covers that I can use. I’ve never understood what they’re for or what they protect you from, but they look cool and add to the theme so I’m going to get them anyways. I also found a lot of stickers and stuff I can put on the back window. And then some things I can hang on the rear-view mirror and clip onto the vents.

Next, I wanted to make the backseat a little more comfortable for my extra passengers. I found a lot of Spider-Man plushies and blankets to keep in the back and make it look nice. I do plan on doing road trips in the future, so that would come in handy.

The last Spider-Man thing I will get so far is the biggest thing and kind of contradicts what I said about only getting small things, but you know what? I don’t care. I want it. It’s a Spider-Man sunshade. It just his mask and eyes so it looks like my car is Spider-Man. I really want it. It’d be really dumb, but I’d love it. And it would be useful. My dashboard wouldn’t dirty up my windshield with all the protectants that evaporate off it during the summer which would be very helpful because one: I hate putting on new protectants. And two: I hate cleaning the inside of my windshield. It will also help with keeping my car a little cooler in the summer.

There are also a few little things that I want to get that aren’t Spider-Man themed because it would either be too much or not practical. I want to get back seat curtains or window shade for those long trips where I might have to stop and lay down. I also want to get a panoramic rear0view mirror because that would help me a whole bunch.

I’m still looking around for stuff, but these are some of the main things I want to get. I hope to be able to get a few of them soon. I can’t wait to deck my car out. Before this blog and even after I titled it, I still didn’t have a name for my car, but I think I will call it my Spider-Mobile. Mayble that will change. Maybe Pete. Who knows?

Overwatch Season 15

Overwatch 2: How To Join Voice Chat

Overwatch season 15 was released February 18 of this year, and I have been so excited about it. We had so much in store for this season, so let me talk about it in this blog!

  1. Loot Boxes Overwatch: Blizzard Explains How Loot Boxes Are Designed

These were the most exciting things about the new season. Overwatch used to have loot boxes way before I played but they got removed! In this season they returned. You can get up to 100 per season! Full of free cosmetics, stickers, voice lines, and profile pictures/banners. It’s the best feeling to me to be able to rip open a loot box!

2. Galactic weapons

Overwatch 2 Reveals Season 15 Mythic, Galactic Weapons, and More

Overwatch has a competitive mode, and in this mode, you can get weapon variants, which include gold and jade, but this season galactic themed weapons were added! I don’t often play comp, but this is definitely something that encourages me to play that game mode!

3. Battle Pass skins

Overwatch 2 Season 15 Battle Pass skins: Rainy Day Kiriko, Toxic Venture, and more! cover image

This battle pass was the cutest thing ever. I honestly don’t know what the theme is.. (I think it’s Chinese New Year?) but these skins are so cool, and I bought this battle pass, so I get all of them! The most exciting thing was a new Venture skin because they often get ignored. Zarya as well! All of these skins are amazing, and there are the cutest weapon charms in this battle pass as well.

4. Zenyatta Mythic skin & Widow Mythic weapon

Zenyatta’s new skin is like the most awesome thing ever. The skin is beautful, but I won’t be getting it just yet because I’m saving for Ashe… sigh </3. It is based off of Pixiu, which is a Chinese mythical hybrid creature

Widowmaker was also given a mythic, but this one is a mythic gun. It’s so cool looking, and I can’t even play her.. (I have no aim) I’ve definitely been tempted to learn just to get it! Mythic weapons add a flourish ability and show an animation when you get a kill!! It’s so cool looking, sigh…

5. Le Sserafim Collab pt.2

K-POP_SKIN_ILLUST_16-9.jpg

Le Sserafim has collaborated with Overwatch before, but this is the second one! This collab included Illari, Ashe, D.va, Mercy, and Juno (left to right). I was very excited about this one, just because Ashe and Illari got skins which they BARELY get. I absolutely purchased a skin from this! I believed that I wouldn’t at first, but Illari was calling my name.. who am I to not answer??

6. Perks

Overwatch 2 Season 15 release time, all Perks and early patch notes as ...

Perks have to be the most exciting thing Overwatch has added. During a game you get to choose from two perks twice. You get choices that can help your playstyle. It was difficult to get used to this because it was added so suddenly, but it makes the game so much more interesting, and I just found out that in the mystery heroes game mode your perks get randomized, so it helps you experiment with this way more.

Most of this blog is just me yapping about things most of you know nothing about, but I love Overwatch, and I am so glad that they have been improving so much. This will always be my favorite game, and I can’t wait for much more in the future.
