heated rivalry- my thoughts on it

I completely watched this show out of boredom as it’s really the only new and interesting thing out right now! this shows is definitely not made for kids in no way shape or form, but it is an interesting concept in a world we worship sports on our hands and knees it showed where toxic masculinity meets sexuality and made unique euphoric setting where everything felt raw and authentic. I actually really liked the show it gave me a euphoria but sports vibe.

let’s start with thoughts I had whilst watching 

first when it began to play I thought if every professional sports player had their own secluded lives from what we know is it like being an actor where their character could represent something, but their actual lives don’t? I saw a few sports players have drama before, but this opened up a whole new world for me it was a crazy experience and it’s most likely an accurate depiction of athlete’s lives regardless of their sexuality. why didn’t they talk to the other hockey player who came out also and get tips from him? I think I kind of know the answer seeing as he was scared of the reactions from other people as well but idk. and why did Illya lowkey move like batman’s persona “Bruce Wayne” he had tons of money he was Russian and “talked” to a lot of women was he trying to get rid of the attraction he had to men? or was it like a masculinity thing like if he could sleep with enough women he wouldn’t be “gay” anymore?

they started talking rookie season and absolutely fell in “love” even if they won’t both admit and constantly say it “just happened” when their parents ask but he was quick to admit his feeling to the actor girl (I forgot her name I’m a bad show watcher btw) he poured out his heart to her. is it like different because he respects his parents differently? and also, why didn’t she notice at firs when her other friend was dancing on him inside the club and he didn’t move?
