This song starts with Bo asking a bunch of questions and then saying he doesn’t want to know the answer. That’s about it! He starts to have a crisis asking if anyone else is out there, saying he thought it would be over by now but there’s still a while to go. “Never mind, I don’t wanna know.”
(Skipping the next song!! It’s just Bo talking about feeling like poop.)
3. All time low 0:54
In this song Bo talks about his mental health and how it is approaching and ATL. He says he’s okay when he sleeps, but as soon as he wakes up, he has a feeling deep inside. “A few things starts to happen. My vision starts to flatter. My heart, it gets to tapping, and I think I’m gonna die.”
4. Welcome to the internet 4:35
One of the most popular songs in this whole album. Bo sings about the internet and everything you can see and do! There’s a duality from calmer things to more drastic incidents that can occur. From straining pasta to someone dying, there’s everything! It’s everything, all the time and there will only be more the more people feed into it. He speaks about how not even that long ago everything was different until the newer generation who was exposed at such a young age. The younger people who were easily drawn to iPads and phones. At first it was meant to be a breakthrough, we were meant to be in power, but we’re just controlled by our devices. “Apathy’s a tragedy and boredom is a crime.”
5. Bezos II 0:45
Unlike the first song, Bo doesn’t really talk about Jeff Bezos, all he does is say his name over and over with little adlibs like. “You did it!” and “Congratulations!”. “Jeffery Bezos”
6. That funny feeling 5:01
In this song Bo sings an acoustic song about a funny feeling. He uses many statements explaining what this feeling can be. Some things more serious than others like “Obeying all the traffic laws in Grand Theft Auto V” or “A book on getting better hand delivered by a drone.” Bo sings about how we were overdue, but it’ll be over soon. “There it is again, that funny feeling.”
7. All eyes on me 5:02
Bo starts this song by singing and telling everyone to put their hands up and get out of their seats. All eyes on him. He starts asking the listener questions. If they’re nervous or having fun. Bo then talks to us about how he quit five years ago due to having panic attacks on stage. He spent his time improving to get better and says that he did. He decided to preform again in January of 2020 but “the funniest thing happened”. He continues to sing saying it’s almost over, but it just begun. He tells the listener don’t overthink it. But then goes on to say the ocean is rising and the world is ending. For the rest of his song, he repeatedly says get your hands up, get out of your seats, all eyes on him. “You say the whole world’s ending, honey, it already did.”
8. Goodbye 4:09
In this song Bo starts off bidding his farewell. He talks about how hard it is to joke with no one laughing in the background. Is this how it ends, he asks before he promises to never go outside again. He talks about losing power, how time is passing by slowly. He tells the listener next time they should be the one entertaining and he’ll sit on the couch and watch. He wants to hear you tell a joke with no one laughing in the background. He feels like he’s even crazy, he feels like he’s right back where he started. All he ever wanted was a little bit of everything all of the time. He goes back to the song comedy, saying if he wakes up in a house that full of smoke he’ll panic. So, call him up and tell him a joke. Is this really the time for jokes though? “Well, well, look who’s inside again.”
9. Any day now 0:57
A short song of him saying it’ll stop any day now. That’s it! “It will stop any day now.”
That’s concludes inside! I may do the outtakes if I dare to rewatch it and not cry from the chicken song.
Inside is an album that came out in 2021 made by Bo Burnham. It captured the attention of many young people who were trapped in their home due to quarantine. I will be talking about the songs from it as someone who is a huge fan of all of his work!! This will only be disc 1. I’ll do the rest another time.
1. Content 1:36
Content is the first song of the album where Bo speaks on being back online after disappearing for years. He starts off saying that he didn’t expect to be inside of his home all of the time. He talks about not being able to leave and being a bit depressed about it, doing little things to get back into the swing of things. “I’m sorry I was gone, but look I made you some content.”
2. Comedy 5:19
Bo Burnham starts this song off saying how everything is changing, and no one knows what’s happening. Everything is happening all at once. Politics and climate change are overwhelming and it’s getting harder to be a comedy in such serious times, who wants to joke at a time like this? He wants to make a change but feels like comedy isn’t something that can make a change. He says he should use his voice, but also says that white men have had the stand for at least four hundred years so maybe he should just step out of it. But no! Bo wants to help without standing on the sidelines, even though he really knows he can’t. “Should I be joking at a time like this?”
3. Facetime with my mom (tonight) 2:20
In this song Bo starts by saying he’s dropping everything to FaceTime his mom. He speaks about their conversations and dynamic. His mom is clearly an older woman who enjoys The Blacklist. He speaks about the odd relationship between him and his dad, the two barely talk with one another. His mother covers the camera with his thumb and Bo gets frustrated, we see him literally yelling at the phone. We never see his mom or dad. “I’ll waste my time facetiming with my mom.”
4. How the world works 4:15
This song takes the view of a show that is clearly meant for the children. He speaks about how the world works and that it can only work when everything works together. He speaks of thing in a very childish way, speaking about animals mostly and how they all give and get what they need. He then pulls out a sock puppet named “Socko”. The sock is more realistic than Bo, the way he speaks of things is devastating. Bo asks, “What can I do to help?” Socko tells him to educate himself and Bo makes a statement saying that he’s the one in control here. Socko argues against this but is almost pulled off of Bo’s hand. He begs to not go back to where it is he is when he’s not on his hand which is a state between not being dead, but not alive either. They end the song normally, but Socko gets taken off his hand anyway. “Remember who’s on whose hand here.”
5. White Woman’s Instagram 4:00
In this song Bo talks about just what the title is! In the song he names out very simple things. An open window, a novel, and avocado. Nothing that we all haven’t seen on Instagram before! The song is mostly repetitive, but in the video, we see Bo doing many poses of pictures I know I’ve seen on there before. At the end it gets a bit sad, speaking of the prospective from this woman. Apparently, both of her parents have passed. A lot of people think that it’s Bo’s actually story. I’m not very sure the condition his parents are in, but Bo made a bunch of jokes in the past about his parents being deceased. “Is this heaven? Or is it a white woman’s Instagram.”
6. Unpaid Intern 0:34
In this extremely short song Bo sings about being an unpaid intern, running around and not having any time for yourself at all. Questioning how most of the people there can even work there, but who cares? You’re just an intern. “I’m an unpaid intern.”
7. Bezos 1:58
This is one of out the five Bezos song Bo Burnham made and I’d say it’s the most the popular one. He tells us that Jeff is an entrepreneur, and he was born 1964. He’s above them all! Zuckerburg and Gates and Buffet can suck it, he says! Also has a crazy piano riff. “C’mon Jeffery, you can do it.”
9. Look who’s inside again 1:23
It might seem like it, but this isn’t the most popular songs! Almost everyone has heard this title before, but it actually comes up in a latter song, singing the part we all know and love. Bo talks about how it is to be funny while being stuck in his home. How hard it is to make a joke and feel funny without an audience in front of you. “Trying to be funny and stuck in a room.”
10. Problematic 3:13
So, before Bo Burnham disappeared from the internet, he had a bit of controversy attached to his name. During the times of 2020 we had people using their voices for things no one really needed it for, a lot of people who didn’t even have the authority to cancel him did try to! It didn’t go too far after those two years. He speaks about how times are changing. Is anyone gonna hold him accountable? He talks about the awful jokes he made when he was younger, but he isn’t using his age as an excuse. He did those things, but he does regret them. He ends the song saying sorry over and over “Isn’t anybody gonna hold me accountable?”
11. 30 2:34
In this song Bo talks about how he just turned thirty. We his birthday pass as we watch him make this series. He talks about how he got used to being so young, but now he’s thirty. He also speaks on how his granddad did so much at the age of 30 and he’s not doing anything, and everyone is having children except him. “Now I’m turning thirty.” (Not putting a picture. He was half naked for like most of this album, man.)
Dhmis is a show that most kids found and probably weren.t supposed to watch! The show has these three puppets who live together. Yellow guy, duck, and red guy. (Idk if they’re actually called that!!) The three of them were introduced to very educational creatures, who turned out to either be evil or very evil! I will be yapping about their songs.
1. The creativity song
The song starts with the three sitting at their kitchen table. A little notepad opens and sings about the idea of creativity. It’s her favorite idea, and she thinks creatively. She tells them all to think how she does, that she sees things differently and expresses herself different. She begins to convince to see everything like she does. Clowns are bad and green isn’t creative, of course!! Listen to the rain, and your brain, and your heart! They took a bit too far though.. (Literally covering a heart in glitter.) Anyway!! They all agreed to never be creative again!
2. The time song
This episode starts with red guy being excited about their show that starts in five minutes, Duck says there’s not enough time. The clock on the wall speaks and says, “There’s always time for a song!” He then goes on to explain what time is. You can put it on the wall or wear it on your wrist!! The past is far behind us and there is no future. It only goes forwards and no other way. The clock encourages them to learn more about time. Times flies by when you’re having fun, but there’s a time and a place for mucking around! Now it’s the future, and there’s so much more stuff you can do! Fish everywhere. The three begin asking questions about time, is time real? Is it just someone humans made up? This angers the clock, and he makes yellow guys ears bleed. The clock then ages all three of them rapidly making their bodies decay, all except yellow guy. He’s only a clock though, eventually everyone runs out of time!
3. The love song
This episode starts with the trio on a picnic. Duck has prepared a chicken picnic!! Yellow guy sees a butterfly, but Duck squishes it which makes him run away in tears. A butterfly (a little baby pigeon) sees yellow guy crying in the tree and says, “Makes you sad, doesn’t it?” The butterfly begins to sing about hatred and darkness, and that it doesn’t have to be that way. We could live in harmony! He takes yellow guy by the hand and tells him about love as they fly through the sky! Love is everywhere, it’s a feeling inside that everyone has. Red guy and Duck are left at the picnic, after they finish their chicken, they go look for yellow guy. The butterfly continues to speak on love, and everyone names what they love. Yellow guy loves everything, and they tell him that he’s doing it wrong. He must save his love for his “special one”. They tell the story of Micheal, the loneliest/ugliest boy in town. Everybody called him a freak, so he lived on his own underground, but everyone has a special one. Including Micheal. They begin speaking of pure love, that is protected with a ring. They worship a king named Malcolm who they feed gravel, or he becomes angry. They begin cleaning yellow guy’s brain and telling him to join their king. The episode ends with yellow guy waking up in a tree and his friends apologizing.
4. The computer song
The computer song begins with the trio playing a board game, it asks a question. “What is the biggest thing in the world?” They don’t know the answer, so they look at a globe! The globe turns and starts to sing but is interrupted by a computer. He’s a computery guy!! He speaks of his digital life and offers to show them. He speaks of how clever he is, and he can print pictures. He’s a clever smart boy, who can do it all digitally! The three agree to use his help and starts asking tons of personal questions, red guy tells him to shush over and over eventually yelling at him to shut up and trying to turn him off. The computer screams at him to not touch him, and they are transported inside of the computer. He introduces them to his digital home, and all of the different things that can be done! There’re over three things to do like pi charts, digital dances, and digital style. This sequence repeats multiple times before red guy begins spiraling. He tries to turn the computer off, following the cord to a room where he sees everything behind the scenes of dhmis. The episodes ends with his head exploding like a balloon and confetti coming from it!!
5. The healthy song
No more trio! Red guy is gone now. Duck and yellow guy sit in the kitchen and yellow guy speaks, “Something’s different!” He says, Duck replies, “Something’s missing.” As if they don’t remember their friend, despite pictures of him everywhere. Yellow guy points to something asking was it him, a piece of bread singing a intro to a song. A can begins singing to them asking if they’re hungry. She says, lots of people get hungry. A piece of steak then begins to sing about hungry coming from your body. It must be hungry, but not all tasty snacks are good to eat. A phone begins to ring which stops the music, Duck goes to answer the phone. When he says hello, he wakes up in a hospital bed. The song continues. The steak talks about the body, it’s like a house and food goes through the chimney. If the food is good, it stays for a party, but if it’s bad then it has to leave through the cat flap. Duck says it doesn’t make sense and the phone rings again. He answers it and they’re at the kitchen table again. The song continues speaking about what you can and can’t eat. Duck is distressed the entire time they’re explaining it all. The fridge begins singing to Duck about food tasting great, Duck says he doesn’t want to do this anymore and knocks down the camera as he runs away. Again, he’s in the hospital bed. The can and the steak continue to sing to yellow guy about what he can and can’t eat. Again, we see Duck in the hospital bed, his organs being pulled out and eaten by a giant giggling can. They begin chanting that you shouldn’t eat food from a stranger’s plate. The episode ends with yellow guy stuffed with food and cans with Duck’s face all over the table. The phone rings again. We also see red guy in the credits, walking with a briefcase.
6. The dreams song
This episode starts with yellow guy in his bed, crying. The three of them shared a room. He says, “Goodnight, guys, I miss you.” A lamp begins singing to him about dreams, yellow guy says no and turns the lamp off, laying back down. The light comes back on and continues, yellow guy refuses but all he can do is listen to the lamp. The lamp says you can dream about anything! Riding a horse or drowning in oil. Yellow guy wakes up and sees the lamp who begins singing about bad dreams. He begins sinking into his bed which is now made of oil. Then we see red guy, who wakes up in an office room. Someone asks him to file files, and red guys says, “Wouldn’t it be funny if these files came alive?” He begins singing and everyone starts at him, saying “That sounds really boring.” (the same thing he said to that notepad). We see his life; how boring and repetitive it all is. So, what does he do? He takes off his clothes and gets on stage and begins singing the creativity song. Everyone boos at him, but one person is interested. Yellow guys father, Roy, who is a businessman who showed up a bunch of times throughout the series. It’s Father’s Day after all!! All of these songs take place on June 19th, which is a day that Father’s Day took place on. The curtains behind him falls and he’s in a dark room. he hears the dream song and follows the noise. He sees multiple screens and one displays the lamp singing about yellow guy who’s is sobbing. Red guy presses buttons which begin to show everyone they’ve came into contact with along with other things. This contains for a while and yellow guy sobs; red guy keeps trying to fix the problem and he feels Roy touch his shoulder. He turns around and is frightened by the man. Red guy follows a cord and says, “I wonder what will happen?” He unplugs it and guess what? Everything starts over and the day is June 20th.
In Overwatch there are countless numbers of characters, but only a few have been added since Overwatch 2 came out and I will be talking about them!
Juno- Support
Juno was just added in season 12, the most recent season! She’s from mars and is currently the only alien in the cast. She levitates and has a speed boost and uses a burst gun that can heal and do damage. She also has an ability called pulsar torpedoes that auto locks onto everyone and either heals or does damage. Her ultimate orbital ray heals the teams and increases their damage.
2. Venture- Damage
Venture was added in season 10 of overwatch. They are the first non-binary character; they are also an archeologist! Venture uses a drill and has an ability to go underground and pop up near their enemies. They also have a drill dash which pushes them towards whichever way you’re aiming. Their ultimate tectonic shock sends shock waves towards the enemy team.
3. Mauga- Tank
Mauga was added in season 8 and he’s probably the biggest tank on the cast. He has two guns, one that shoots regular and one that shoots bullets that set you on fire. One of his abilities is called cardiac overdrive which causes nearby allies to gain health when they do damage. His other ability called overrun makes him run into the enemy team, and stomp! His ultimate cage fight traps everyone around him in a big circle, if you walk into it your trapped and you can’t do damage if you’re outside of it because it’s a big shield.
4. Illari- Support
Illari was added in season 6! She has a gun with the ability solar flare that can shoot rapid fire or charge up and do more damage. She heals a decent amount with it, but has to reload frequently, but she has a healing pylon which she can throw out and it can heal until it’s broken. She also has an ability that makes her launches her away and enemies back. Her ultimate is called captive sun, she goes into the air and if she hits you, you’ll get sunstruck and explode!!
5. Lifeweaver- Support
Lifeweaver was added in season 4 of overwatch and he’s pansexual!! He has a healing blossom that heals about 70 or 80 health back at a time, he also has thorn volley where he shoots thorns from his hand. He also has a dash, and an ability called petal platform where it lifts you into the air. His main ability is a life grip where he could pull you out of battle. His ultimate is called tree of life, anyone standing near the tree gets extra health and is healed. The tree can be broken.
6. Ramattra- Tank
Ramattra was added in season 2, and he’s one of the few omnic characters. His weapon is called void accelerator which shoots a stream of projectiles. He has a really lame barrier that last like six seconds, and another ability called ravenous vortex. It slows you down and if you fly it pulls you to the ground. His main ability is his nemesis form where he just starts punching you. His ultimate is called annihilation where he goes into nemesis form and has a deadly swarm that attaches to nearby enemies.
7. Sojourn- Damage, Junker Queen- Tank, and Kirirko- Support
All three of these characters were added in the first season of overwatch 2!! Sojourn has a rail gun, that can shoot a high impact shot that can pierce through enemies. She has a sliding ability, and another called disruptor shot that launches an energy burst and deals damage if you stand in it. Her ultimate is called overclock where her rail gun takes less time to charge up.
Junker queen has a pump shotgun called scatter gun, an ability called carnage where she hits you with an axe that gradually does damage, and a jagged blade that she can throw. The blade hooks onto enemies and can pull them in whatever direction. She has commanding shout which buffs allies near her. Her ultimate is called rampage, and she charges forward and prevents everyone from being healed while doing damage.
Kiriro has a weapon called a kunai where she can shoot long range shots, and she has healing ofuda which is a burst of healing talismans that seeks for low health allies. She can teleport with swift step and has an ability called protection suzu which heals you and can also cleanse you of negative affects other characters cause. He ultimate is called kitsune rush where she summons a fox spirit that rushes forward, increasing movements and decreasing cooldowns of allies in the path.
Ride the cyclone is a musical about six teens who died on a roller coaster accident. In the music they talk about what they were perceived as and sing about what they dreamt to be. I will be yapping about some of these songs!
1. The Uranium Suite
This sing gives me chills so bad?? The song where Karnak explains their deaths, saying he even told them to ride the cyclone? It gets me so bad, especially hearing them explaining what they felt while dying. It was confusion, since they had no idea what was going on. They felt strange, but they felt so many other things at once. It also gives me the feeling that they’re realizing nothing really even mattered, especially in such a small town like uranium, there’s also the shock that they’re finally out of that dead end town. 10/10 I love the choirs’ voices together.
2. What the world needs
Ocean made my blood boil! This song is so catchy, but it’s really sad to see that’s how she viewed these people that were supposedly her friends. She was extremely full of herself, just bragging about what a good person she is when she actually isn’t. Imagine your friend since pre-k calling you and your entire group zeros? Anyways, 4/10 for being catchy.
3. Noel’s Lament
Imagine being the most romantic boy in town and this is your song? It’s pretty inappropriate, so I cannot go into full detail about this song. Noel wants to be in another era, he wishes to be Monique Gibeau in post-war France. Pretty crazy place, right? I love hearing his dreams, because it’s odd, but it’s interesting. He wants to live passionately, even if it’s rough. 10/10 this was the second RTC song I knew, and it still gives me chills. (I’m a little biased.)
4. Talia
Hearing how Mischa talks about Taila always makes me melt. “I want to take all of the pain from your soul and in the passion factory of my heart, transform it into functional joy.” Like what? That’s beautiful. He wants to marry this girl, that’s he’s never met, and he’s so passionate towards her. Since as Mischa says Ukrainian men only have two emotions, passion and rage! His voice is so beautiful, I have no idea what he’s saying, but it stills sounds good man. Also, I love the switch up since Mischa enjoys more music with techno like his previous song. Anyways, 10/10 the note at the end was angelic.
5. Space age bachelor man
I love Ricky so much, he’s such a weirdo. In RTC Ricky didn’t talk while he was alive, he was a mute, but after he died, he began to talk. The point is Ricky couldn’t/wouldn’t talk. So, how does one cope with being mute? Imagining that he was sent from aliens evolved from cats. He was the savior of the zolarian race. This is also a pretty inappropriate song, but Ricky talks about how we should all just love each other. Life is hard enough, but being negative only makes it harder. 10/10 for the lessons and the cat people.
6. The ballad of Jane Doe
Honestly, top one song for me. The way the song starts makes you feel worse for her in her situation. She had no idea who she was, she wasn’t anything but a body with a doll head. She was begging just to know who she was. She talks about death, someone pointed out how when you lose your head it’s alive for a few more seconds after. She heard the anguish of the street. Then, it feels like anger. She feels rage over being the one who doesn’t remember anything. She doesn’t know anything and doesn’t have anything. Not even her friends remember who she is. 10/10 Imagining singing upside down with those notes?
7. Sugar cloud
Constance realizing that she has a good life. When she was alive, she despised her parents for being happy in Uranium city, but dying showed her that all of the good things that happened to her happened in Uranium city. She was the nicest girl in town, and there was nothing wrong with that. 9/10 her voice gives me chills, point deducted for that stupid recorder.
Overwatch 2 is a live game that lets you team up with friends across platforms and devices. It has a diverse number of characters to pick from and here are some duos that I’ve played in the game!!
Ashe & Cassidy.
Truthfully, the only thing is that they’re both from Texas and have lor! Nothing about their gameplay is particularly made for duos, but it’s an honorable mention due to being the first one I ever played. They do both have ultimate’s that are terrifying to hear at the same time. Ashe has B.O.B, a big robot butler that she throws out and he eliminates everyone in his path. Cassidy has Deadeye, which means he can auto lock on a few people and eliminate everyone in his sight (Also, there’s a tumbleweed.)
2. Reaper & Sombra.
Probably the most fun of all of the ones I can name, but definitely the most annoying to play against. This duo makes it very easy to sneak behind teams, since both characters are stealth characters. Plus, their ultimate’s work together really well. Sombra’s being EMP while hacks the enemy for a short amount of time. Reaper’s being death blossom which pretty much eliminates the entire team, especially when they can’t use abilities.
3. Mercy & Brigitte.
One of the most efficient support duos! Brigitte heals when she does damage, so having a mercy pocketing her the entire game isn’t necessarily that bad. Mercy damage boosting Brigitte while she’s healing the entire team is a great strategy!
4. Moira & Ana.
Moira and Ana can both do amazing healing if needed, but Moira does a lot of damage for no reason! They work well together due to Ana’s ultimate which is a nano boost. Moira’s ultimate is coalescence which allows her to shoot out a huge beam of healing for allies, and damage to opponents. Moira being nano boosted while doing that is bound to eliminate a few people.
5. Bastion & Mei.
Two of the nicest people in overwatch probably. Mei and Bastion make a great duo, their sitting emotes together make me so happy. Mostly their ultimate’s that go together. Mei can freeze the entire team if positioned correctly, her ultimate being blizzard. Bastion is able to take out however many people she froze with his ultimate Configuration: Assault which allows to drop three missiles.
6. Hanzo & Widowmaker.
Despite Hanzo being the best character ever and Widowmaker being the worse person in the game (I’m a hater), this duo works pretty well if you’re good at them. Both characters take a specific amount of skill to play them. Imagine having that much aim on your team? Then their ultimate’s, Widowmaker’s is Infra-sight, which gives the whole team the ability to see opponents wherever they are for a short amount of time. Hanzo’s ultimate is called Dragonstrike. He shoots these two huge dragons out of his bow. They only go in a straight line which isn’t a problem if you can see through walls, right?
7. Symmetra & Echo.
Honestly, their color palettes match and so do their sitting emotes, but that’s kind of it. A lot of duos are mostly for appearance wise for me, including Ashe and Cassidy. Echo does so much damage and her ultimate, duplicate, allows her to duplicate anyone on the opponent team. Symmetra’s ultimate is Photon barrier which puts up a giant shield, the team can walk through it, but it is definitely useful at time. Plus, her turrets are very useful and do tons of damage. Other than them being fancy that’s about it.
