Okay so, this is a blog I’ve wanted to write for a while now, but I have been trying to wait for all the episodes of the new season to come out so I can give a full review. For those that don’t know this is the very last season ever to come out of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” ever! If you’ve never seen it before, or it’s just been a while, well obviously you should go watch it since its awesome, but here’s a quick break down, it’s a teen romance, love triangle, coming of age, and very much a summer beach movie. Now that we have a base on what it’s about, that’s jump on in. 

LOTS of drama, throughout this entire series, between two brothers and theirs best friend’s little sister Isabella Cocklin aka (Belly) The brothers are Conrad Fisher, and Jeramiah Fisher their mother owns a beach house on Cousins Beach which they visit every summer. The kids have been meeting up there since they were little and have continued to since. 

Season one, there’s all getting older and things and changing. It’s the summer of Belly’s sixteenth birthday, and she has had a “glow up” from last summer. The normal for every summer was to stay in with her mother and Susannah, (the Fisher boy’s mom) and watch a movie and bake brownie, but this summer was different. When stopping at the gas station for snacks she was invited to a bonfire on the beach. From there we could tell thing were changing. 

Conrad Fisher, young hot, gorgeous, daydreaming, he’s the boy Belly wished for every birthday since she was twelve. Conrad is this sweet boy who always steps in from winning her the iconic Junior Mint at the fair when they were young to getting her an infinity necklace for her sixteenth birthday. This summer Conrad he was just different wasn’t himself. He found out a secret and had to hold onto it since he wasn’t supposed to know about his mother, and it tore him; he quit football and became overall different. 

Times past, the worst of all because like what AHH okay so we ended that season at Belly’s deb ball, and Jeramiah punched Conrad! This got me mad because Conrad was hurting holding onto the news by himself, but it wasn’t his information to share, Jeramiah found out that their mother has cancer when he took her phone and stared reading her emails. Mind you there at Belly’s Deb ball while all this is happing! They go home after, and the boys convinced their mom to do the cancer trail, and this was a very emotional night. Her and Conrad finally became real near the end of this season.

Susannah has passed away, when we start the next season. Conrad and Belly start dating in secret, but it falls apart as Conrad struggles with depression when his mom died and he stared pushing people away. While also Susannah’s sister is trying to sell the beach house, so Conrad is trying to stop that because that is his mother’s home. Jermiah and Belly were on the phone soon they find out Conrad is missing so they go on to Cousens to find him when they realized about the house and decide to help. Steven finds out (Belly’s brother) where they and drives down there with Taylor (Belly’s best friend) to help Belly drunk calls her mother and she show up upset with them. They explain the house, and she calls the Fisher boy’s father, and they figure out a way to save the house. Time goes by and Jermiah figures out he has feelings her Belly!!

Okay last but not least, Jermiah and Belly dating, in collage now, and Conrad is in med school in California. The perfect relationship some people think. Going well collage life, he works for his dad, she got accepted into a semester abroad in Paris. Taylor and steven together. Belly found out about Jeramiah cheating on her in Cabo over spring break when they were at a party and it struck an argument. Later Taylor and Steven got in a car accident, while they were at the hospital he confected that he cheated twice! After that he proposed to her with no ring or nothing in front of the hospital that her brother is currently in!! Even worse she said YES like bruh, Jeramiah is also having to repeat his senior year because he FORGOT to read an email, and he told Belly not to go to Paris.

After that has settle down they announce the wedding, none of the family was on board, soo yeah, Steven is the best man and Conrad is the co-best man so he flew down there they did his best to stay away from Belly but after he found out about Cabo AHHHH Belly and Jeremaiah were supposed to meet on the beach since it was the night before the rehearsal dinner but Jeremaiah got drunk as per usual and didn’t go. BUT you know who CONNIE BABY, and he was there said he LOVED HER!!!! He also did it again the day of the wedding AHHH my Conrad in finally confessing his feelings to and Jermiah ended up calling the wedding off she went to Paris to find a new life and while Shes been there for almost a year he came!!! They finally got together I was screaming, so happy literally love Connie baby. Proud to say I’ve been team Conrad since season one! 

Now that we are about a month and a half into school, which is crazy. Now this is the time some of us start questing things. “How to manage my time? How to join clubs and stay up to date on work? How to budget my money? How to apply for collage?” How, that’s the question that roams around a lot as we start, to get worried about what is next to come. Life like to throw a lot at us, and we don’t know how to answer these questions or get really overwhelmed trying to balance it all, well, I’m here to help you figure a little bit of those things out as we take a deeper look on how. 

How to? Thats the question that children, teens, young adults, and elderly ask themself throughout the day often. Whether it is, “how to go down the slide, how to solve this equation, or even how to turn the remote on?” Many questions I’m going to help with someone of the one teenager and young adults struggle within today’s world. 

When I asked a few students from all different schools most of them had the same or simar answers to this question that was asked “How do you manage your time?” Almost all these students said their best way to manage time and stay early on their work was to “find an open window during breaks to do work when you get done early with other work.” Another response I got a lot was blocking out a certain hour each day to just do schoolwork and if something comes up at that hour let them know you have plains to get in the habit of blocking it out. 

The question about budging money, I know for teenagers in the world today that is hard question to ask yourself so let’s break it down. Think about all the little things you spend your money on daily, fast food, posters, games, consoles, makeup, and so much more. When shopping look at the prices of what you buy because there might actually be a cheaper item that’s the same. So, we could eat in more and have money put aside for fun. Making a saving account can help out a lot when you get money put a little but in your saving for example if I get 20 dollars a month’s maybe put 5 bucks in it or even more! You will notice over time it will start to increase. The way I do it is when I get my money, I have a partition that automatically goes into my saving. If you use cash put some in a separate spot in your wallet.

Last but not least for today, there so many in this world. We will talk about “How to apply to college.” Appling for college is not as scary as everyone puts it out to be. Yes, it could be nerve racking at first but the prosses is not horrible. Let’s start with the very basics looking up the college’s website. Thats about the easiest, to see what we need to get for this college. A lot of colleges require you to have taken the ACT so check to see about that, if the college you are applying for requires an essay, most do, but again some don’t depend on where you want to go get that done. When completed with that fill out the online application, get recommendations letters, pay the application fee if the school you are applying to has one. Now we have done all this we will send over our transcript to the colleges we are applying for. This is the moreover every school is different, but this is the basic over of “How to apply to college.”

Welcome back to chats with Lydia, with a sprinkle of chaos. This week we are talking about “My Life with the Walter Boys.” If you’re looking for a show with teen drama, love, and suspense, this is for you! But before we get too far into this blog, I would like to inform you that there are LOTS of *spoilers* if you have not seen the new season and are plaining on watching it. Now that we have given are little warnings let jump on into my thoughts on MLWTWB, and the new season, plus how the first was left off. 

Alright, lets jump in. Here’s an overview of the first season, the main character in the show Jackie Howard she’s from New York, her parents and sister passed away in a car accident, all of a sudden, she got the awful news from her uncle while at her school dance that she is now an orphan. Her parents put that she should live with the Walter family in Colorado, since her uncle’s job requires him to travel a lot. So, with that Jackie moved in with the Walter family in Colorado. 

Okay, the Walter family is a really big family, with lots of boys so let me introduce you to the family super quick, before. Since there’s a lot so we don’t get confused whose, who when we get reading. Katherine Walter, (Mother) George Walter, (Father) Will Walter (25) Cole Walter (17) Danny Walter (17) Alex Walter (16) Nathan Walter (14) Jordan Walter (12) Parker Walter (9) Benny Walter (5) Isaac Garcia (16, nephew) Lee Garcia (16, nephew) and last but not least Jackie Howard (15). All but Will live at the Walter household with Katherine, and George. While also all the children are boys exempt Jackie and Parker. 

Now, that I feel you have enough information to go along with this let’s jump in. As I told you in the second paragraph she is in Colorado because her family died. But while living there she made two best friends, Skylar Summerhill, and Grace Wanger. In the first episode Cole left her at school and left at 3:30 on the dot. So, Grace and Skylar offered to take her home and go out for ice cream, quickly their friendship became strong. As we see in season two, they stick together and end up being best friends. 

What we’ve all been waiting for the love triangle. Jackie, Cole, and Alex, I could go on about this forever. When watching I was screaming at the tv, I was going crazy over this. Like what why, when AHH, there was so many emotions going on. In season one she dates Alex, but when they were dating, Cole catches feelings for Jackie. Alex left the need to show off their relationship to everyone at school. Then at Wills wedding Alex got drunk and said, “I love you” and Jackie doesn’t say it back. Then she goes to help Danny pack and finds “the tea pot”(her sister bought her a tea pot, and it broke, she thought it just got tossed but Cole fixed it).  

She went out to the garage to confront him about it, and they kissed. Like AHHHH Cole fixed the tea pot!! And before the wedding he decided he was going to do summer school and work on his career. Even in the first episode, she got spaghetti all over her outfit because their pet snake she pulled out scared her, so he brought up a sandwich. Then when they pulled a prank, he took her to the creek to let the siblings cool off for her snitching on sibling code. (sorry for jumping around the show I know it’s a little chaotic)

Almost two years later, and we got season two this had me jumping out of my seat. If you don’t know already, I’m team Cole. I love him and he has changed so much since season one. Jackie left to go to New York for the summer she was thinking of boarding school, but ultimately Kathrine talked her out of it. Now Shes back in Colorado, a few episodes have passed, Jackie and Alex and secretly dating and he is doing Bull riding now. Cole is coaching the football team and working towards being a better man. In the last episode we were left at a cliff Jackie and Cole ALMOST KISSED!! Cole said he loves her, and she said she loves him, Alex walked outside, the Ambulance came for George and season two ended I was so mad at the ending, and I don’t think I can wait for another season! With that I’m going to wrap this blog up see y’all next week!

Hey y’all, it’s Lydia here. Flying in to be your guide to travel, with just a little bit of chaos. Sit down, and grab your wallet, because after this blog you’re going to be wishing you booked a plane ticket sooner. This week, we are going to take a deeper dive into all the best places to travel. Some of the places we are going to look at are what the majorly of the population think is the best. While some I just think are what I think is the best! But with the holidays coming they will be here before we know it, so let’s find the place to visit this break! 

Let’s Jump on in, or should I say dive since we’re headed to an island, on in with the best places to travel to! We’re going to start with my personal favorite place Bali, Indonesia. Okay so I may be biased because I was born here, but it’s a great place. So now let’s take a deeper dive into why I think y’all should travel here. It’s literally an island what can’t you do. You have a whole ocean, many waterfalls to explore, you can go diving, explore the temples, visit a mask gallery, they even have a monkey forest sanctuary! Theres endless things to do in Bali from relaxing on the beach with their crystal-clear water with gorgeous views, to playing with monkeys. Bali has it all from relaxation to an adventurous time depending on what you’re going for now let’s dive into my next travel place!

Next up, we got such a great place to tour, you might not want to come home after booking a ticket. Soaking in the sun, getting a taste of street food, evening bike tours, visiting temples, floating markets, and its nightlife. If you couldn’t have guessed it already, we are coming in hot with Bangkok, Thailand. Now let’s break now the great stuff we can do in Bangkok. Let’s get a bigger idea of what we would do if we traveled here. Now we can jump on into talking about the temple. There is actually more to it than just looking at the outside if it! You can go to many of the temples, they do have some guidelines you need to follow, but the temples are so pretty and definitely worth the trip. Before we wrap this paragraph up let’s talk about the floating markets. A floating market is exactly what it sounds like locals will have fresh produce of a boat on the water.  That would be a great place to explore if you visit Bangkok, Thailand.

Last but not least, it’s a place I have never been to personally, but the people say it’s the best place to visit. So, let’s hype it up, and explore together! This is the one and only Swiss Alps which is located in the southern part of Switzerland. What do they have your probably asking? Well, they have what looks to be the calming feeling, alpine mountains, green hillsides, river landscapes, shimmering lakes, wintertime skiing, and summertime hiking. It’s a gorgeous fairytale, makes me want to go visit. Swiss Alps also does passes you can get to get a train rid to tour around, see their lovely scenic views, their magical place.

Updates every day, everywhere, we can’t get them all. Every second, every moment. All the time that would be too much information for one blog, but I can get some key things that happened recently to write about this week. Alot has happened celebrity’s life have something interesting going on just about every day. Although some people think seeing a celebrity getting a glass of water is the new of the year. Now let’s jump into some of the big things that happened recently with celebrities around the world! 

One, two, three, four, five at least. Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, an Amacan actress and singer. She is currently working on at least five movies/tv shows. While she has also played in about forty-two movies/shows during her acting career. Zendaya started her acting career when she was only fourteen years old, she made her debut as an actress for a series called, Shake It Up. She also has six siblings which most don’t know about since she doesn’t talk a lot about, but she has six half siblings from her father’s side. So, what got her into acting was early talent and family encouragement. 

Tick tock on the clock, here comes Taylor Swift. We got major news a countdown clock to 12:12 a.m. for her new debut for her 12th album. Crazy that it was announcement at 12:12 for her 12th album coincidence right I think not. Nothing withing Taylor is a coincidence. It was announced on “New Heights” a podcast. Were in our show girl era! Taylor announced on August 12th her new album “Life of a Showgirl”. While also there’s a countdown on her website that goes off Monday, August 18 at 2 p.m. ET. It was released that her album will be available until August 20th at 1:59 PM ET. 

Lil Wayne, on tour! 42 and he’s not letting age stop him from touring ever like ever. He is on “THA CARTER VI TOUR” touring doing 36 concerts across 24 places on this tour. Which is crazy to think because it was 25 yeas ago was his first EVER major tour! It was “The Cash Money/Ruff Ryders Tour” within the past twenty-five years Lil Wayne has made history I, his music. He has been on multiple tours since then and created a life. He has four children that mean the world to him. He has a 26-year-old daughter, 16-year-old son, and two 15-year-old boys.  

Updates, well there’s so many updates I can only give you some. I can’t give you it all because if I do I think you would be here all year. Some of my updates were just some basic news but it’s good to know about the background of some of the everyday artists we listen to/watch. It’s actually crazy but more and more news and being posted while I was writing this blog. I was jumping around trying to catch it all. Actually, Taylors countdown went off while I was writing this blog so that was an adventure. But I loved the crazy factor of this blog and would totally do it again!

New! What a strange way to start but so many things in life are New. Hey, my name is Lydia Nytes and I’m New to MSA, and this is my fist blog! before I get into this chapter in my life let me interduce myself real quick,

• I’m sixteen
• I play the flute 
• I am one of seven children
• I was born in Bali Indonesia
• I love writing in my free time 
• I work at VBS every summer
• Cats are my favorite animal I love cats
• I’ve lived in Mississippi for almost two years
• I’m a military child so I’m from a little bit of everywhere
• And in my free time I love volunteering around my community

Moreover, now that we know a little bit about me, this brings the topic of this blog NEW. What does New mean to you? New, one word three letters. It has many meanings in one-word; New life, New chapter, New friends, New school, it can even be New shoes! So many things in my life are New, but New is not New forever.

For example, was when I was living in Vilseck Germany I did not know the basic words. I did not know how to get around, where to go, what was happening, so everything was New to me. But after about a month, I figured out to say some things, I figured out paths, figured out where to go. So after it was not New to me it was not this big scary place anymore it was just a small town.

Even with making friends it may be weird and uncomfortable at first since its New, and you don’t know them, but soon you will be familiar with those people, and it will feel like you have known them forever those friends won’t be New to you anymore, also some of those friends you met in with that one weird New interaction could end up being lifelong friends.  

So Furthermore, New is what I chose my title and theme of my first blog to be Since a lot in life is New but not for long. You just have to get familiar. Everyone is still learning, MSA is New to some of us juniors, the people here are New, there are New techniques of writing, traveling to a New place is New. Everything in life is New and we need to embraces it because it is not New for long just a period of time.
