Minutes passed. Then hours passed. Eventually, days had passed. Hands were twirled. Sentences were typed. But, none felt <em>inspired<\/em> enough.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0So, naturally the artist did what anyone dedicated to their craft would do, she procrastinated. She made brownie cookies. (yummy btw (:) She rearranged an entire home. She even attempted to watch paint dry.\u00a0 Finally a light bulb went off over her head. She would write about procrastinating, one of her favorite past times. Quickly she reached for her laptop and began to type.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Fingers danced across the keys elegantly to push the ideas out of her skull so she wouldn&#8217;t get distracted. (she was still distracted) Her eyes were fixed the screen like it was a binge-worthy show. After a few minutes, maybe hours of working she let out a satisfied sigh. Here&#8217;s the finished result of the poem. The following poem is the original work of Taylor Lafayette titled, &#8220;Procrastination.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u00a0 will\u00a0 do\u00a0 it<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One\u00a0 day\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What\u00a0 is\u00a0 such\u00a0 a\u00a0 task\u00a0 that\u00a0 demands\u00a0 my\u00a0 efforts?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One\u00a0 day\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u00a0 shall\u00a0 get\u00a0 done<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But,\u00a0 now\u00a0 is\u00a0 NOT\u00a0 the\u00a0 time<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The\u00a0 sun\u2019s\u00a0 too\u00a0 low\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And\u00a0 I\u2019m\u00a0 feeling\u00a0 ill<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excuses\u00a0 accumulate\u00a0 in\u00a0 my\u00a0 lap<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not\u00a0 a\u00a0 bone\u00a0 in\u00a0 my\u00a0 body\u00a0 wants\u00a0 to\u00a0 be\u00a0 put\u00a0 to\u00a0 motion<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So\u00a0 I\u00a0 rest\u00a0 them\u00a0 now\u00a0 and\u00a0 pending<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If\u00a0 my\u00a0 position\u00a0 changes\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So\u00a0 does\u00a0 the\u00a0 weather<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u00a0 will\u00a0 do\u00a0 it\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One\u00a0 day\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But,\u00a0 Today\u2019s\u00a0 not\u00a0 that\u00a0 day\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What\u00a0 is\u00a0 such\u00a0 a\u00a0 task\u00a0 that\u00a0 demands\u00a0 my\u00a0 efforts?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Sometimes procrastination does work. Keep procrastinating friends, just pinkie promise to not tell your parents or teachers I said that.
