meat sagging behind skin<\/p>\n

dangling from crumpled bone<\/p>\n

yellow carved initials in the marrow<\/p>\n

tomorrow will our graves be given name?<\/p>\n

call it distasteful, disgraceful,<\/p>\n

but I slide from one shade of broken to the next<\/p>\n

through the salt and tongue and lie and gone<\/p>\n

bruised fingers and cracked knuckles<\/p>\n

penetrate, disintegrate<\/p>\n

integration the definition of our sick nature<\/p>\n

join the army of restless rebellion to find anything but your<\/p>\n

peace of mind<\/p>\n

leave that behind<\/p>\n

blink your black eyes and spit through<\/p>\n

your blood lies<\/p>\n

let them sit upon our teeth for a change<\/p>\n

we are nothing more than overgrown penitence<\/p>\n

personalities decaying as our bodies sway to a rhythm<\/p>\n

bound and busted<\/p>\n

its not that uncomfortable, being dead<\/p>\n

I’ve dug my grave a million times over<\/p>\n

and have lied in the shameful dirt<\/p>\n

as safely as I did in that house<\/p>\n

or not at all<\/p>\n

the flies at first become bothersome<\/p>\n

but after a few centuries<\/p>\n

you get over it<\/p>\n
