<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">a role he plays well<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">He acts as if he\u2019s ready to fight anyone<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">No one knows what lies under his mask<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">They\u2019re too scared to get close<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">\u2018Will he hurt me if I say the wrong thing?\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">Is a collective thought among our peers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">They don\u2019t know what\u2019s under his mask,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">But I do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">Under Jack\u2019s mask is a sensitive, caring boy<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">He means no harm to anyone<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">He only wants a friend, someone to talk to<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">But his mask doesn\u2019t allow that<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">His mask is made of thorns, sharp and ready to cut<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">While Jack is made of bright, blooming roses<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">His mask hides his true self<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">His happy, gentle side is being consumed<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">Consumed by his mask<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">Jack is losing himself, and I can see it<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">He\u2019s hardly ever himself, even around me<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">I wish that I could destroy that mask of his<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">Because at this point, who is he really?<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: courier new,courier,monospace;\">His mask or my Jack?<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Mask Jack\u2019s mask is a shroud of mystery He comes off as a dark, brooding menace;
