mother<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

mother knew it was the end<\/p>\n

she was beginning to mourn<\/p>\n

her lungs were a swimming pool of sorrow,<\/p>\n

but in it, i found beauty<\/p>\n

after all, rain made flowers bloom<\/p>\n

the only thing to do, after a fall is to rise<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the first thing she did the morning after, was rise<\/p>\n

she couldn’t believe that that had been the end<\/p>\n

she could feel the sadness bloom<\/p>\n

mother told herself not to mourn<\/p>\n

mourning had no beauty<\/p>\n

all it had was sorrow<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

all she had felt for a while was sorrow<\/p>\n

the sun would rise<\/p>\n

she would cake on her beauty,<\/p>\n

and would wait for the day to end<\/p>\n

her mind was still wishing to mourn,<\/p>\n

but her heart was looking to bloom<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

she found joy again in watching peonies bloom<\/p>\n

she pushed aside the hurricane of sorrow<\/p>\n

and the desire to mourn,<\/p>\n

and instead decided to rise<\/p>\n

that was the end<\/p>\n

it was time for true beauty<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the garden is where she found beauty<\/p>\n

watching life bloom<\/p>\n

made the pain end<\/p>\n

like the sun, i watched her rise<\/p>\n

a new being who would no longer mourn<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

i had watched her mourn<\/p>\n

i had watched her fleeting beauty<\/p>\n

i had watched her pick herself up and rise<\/p>\n

i sat with her and watched the garden bloom<\/p>\n

i sat with her through moments of sorrow<\/p>\n

and i was there for the end<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

for my mother to bloom with beauty,<\/p>\n

she had to mourn and accept\u00a0 her sorrow,<\/p>\n
