He ripped them from your mind and smashed them under his feet,<\/p>\n
and left you an empty shell to live in.<\/p>\n

no more nights of rest,<\/p>\n
or a life full of love.<\/p>\n
You are now a caged animal,<\/p>\n
and there is no room on the streets for you.<\/p>\n
Your mind is a danger to him,<\/p>\n
for you may realize he doesn’t deserve you.<\/p>\n
So you must stay locked away,<\/p>\n
where the word ‘no’ does not exist,<\/p>\n
and permission is an illusion.<\/p>\n
Where opinions can only mirror his.<\/p>\n
There is only one key to this cage,<\/p>\n
and you have it.<\/p>\n
So why will you not free yourself?<\/p>\n
Do you not know that you have been trapped?<\/p>\n
Or has your unconditional love blinded you from the truth?<\/p>\n
Tell me,<\/p>\n
Do you enjoy your prison?<\/p>\n
Or do you imagine it is not there?<\/p>\n
One day, perhaps, you will realize your value.<\/p>\n
