{"id":3570,"date":"2018-08-22T08:39:40","date_gmt":"2018-08-22T13:39:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/?p=3570"},"modified":"2018-08-22T08:39:40","modified_gmt":"2018-08-22T13:39:40","slug":"time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/2018\/08\/22\/time\/","title":{"rendered":"Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Time is a strange concept;<\/p>\n<p>we breathe in and out, then three seconds have already passed.<\/p>\n<p>Then we do it again,<\/p>\n<p>then again.<\/p>\n<p>Until we have been breathing for ninety years,<\/p>\n<p>and we are dead in a bed we have been in for three days.<\/p>\n<p>No one has found us;<\/p>\n<p>we are rotting next to piles of medication we take for all of our weaknesses.<\/p>\n<p>Our time is up, and what have we done with it?<\/p>\n<p>For many, the answer is nothing;<\/p>\n<p>nothing but lie and cheat and steal and harass the people we claim to love.<\/p>\n<p>I want to do something with my breath;<\/p>\n<p>to breathe life into the mouths of those who are suffocating,<\/p>\n<p>those who crave something more than the normal air.<\/p>\n<p>I am so tired of this oxygen, it is suffocating me.<\/p>\n<p>Someone please show how to live my time differently,<\/p>\n<p>teach me how to show all my love, feel my hurt, hear my own voice.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t want to rot in a lonely bed like the others often do.<\/p>\n<p>I need my minutes to count,<\/p>\n<p>to mean <em>something.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I want to live like I am dying.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Time is a strange concept; we breathe in and out, then three seconds have already passed.
