Although we still act like best friends and sometimes each other’s enemies.

I love my boyfriend for many reasons (obviously). Aside from his attractiveness, I absolutely adore his personality, mannerisms, and hobbies. Naturally, he is very introverted and keeps to himself.

When he’s around his homeboys, his entire persona does a 180. He’s loud, trolling, and roughhousing with them. But when he’s with me, he becomes soft-spoken and kind and always compliments me. This is the boyfriend part of him. His hobbies, such as playing video games or going to the gym, are expected, but one of his hobbies that surprised me is how much he loves puzzles. I didn’t expect that from someone like him, but now that I’ve been with him for half a year, it makes a lot more sense. One of his mannerisms that has grown on me is how he gestures with his hands as he speaks. I didn’t realize that until a month ago, which is quite funny to me.

The other part of Tre would be him still acting like a close friend. The way he brags about making sacks during his football games, as if I understand the terminology and positions. Our conversations would be me interrupting him every few minutes, asking about a certain phrase.

“I was able to make a sack during the first three minutes.”

“A sack?”

“I tackled the quarterback.”

“Oh yeah, I saw that!”

He also replays the footage for me to watch every Saturday afternoon, in case I couldn’t go to his game. We also joke around with each other with childish insults, all while knowing we’re down bad for each other.

That ties into the “opp” or enemy part of him when he decides to ragebait me. Very similar to the best friend part of him but taken a step further—saying things that he knows will piss me off in half a second. For example, I used to be in the band but quit my tenth-grade year. Even then, I’m still passionate enough to want to play in college. Tre, however, plays football and has been playing for years. Every now and then, he’ll make comments about band all while being loud and wrong. It always unlocks a deep rage within me, so I have to take a step back to breathe.

That’s all I got for my blog… I love dat boy, and he loves me!!
