{"id":20786,"date":"2024-12-12T13:15:56","date_gmt":"2024-12-12T19:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/?p=20786"},"modified":"2024-12-12T13:15:56","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T19:15:56","slug":"2024-wrap-up-for-whatever-was-on-my-mind","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/2024\/12\/12\/2024-wrap-up-for-whatever-was-on-my-mind\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Wrap Up for whatever was on my mind"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shows<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of my favorite shows were wrapped up for their final seasons (or so they say) in 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So why not talk about some of them, especially the ones that left me crying at 4 a.m. during Thanksgiving break.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only Murders in the Building<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20790\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Only-Murders-in-the-Building-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Only-Murders-in-the-Building-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/Only-Murders-in-the-Building.jpg 474w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/> \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve talked about this show before and about half a month ago, I finished the fourth season. Which they say is the last season, but if you watched the ending, then you know that has to be a lie.\u00a0 It has to be.\u00a0 I mean, they can\u2019t just leave the dead doorman sitting in the fountain without any justice, right?\u00a0 Right?!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anyway, the whole show, to me, had some of the best plots.\u00a0 And I genuinely loved all the characters and the cast who played them.\u00a0 That\u2019s why I have to give them their flowers by adding them to my wrap up.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you all haven\u2019t checked this show out yet, I highly recommend that you do.\u00a0 This isn\u2019t a regular whodunnit show.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Arcane<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20791\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-2048x1152.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wallpapersden.com_arcane-tv-show_2560x1440-1200x675.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NO ONE SPOIL THIS FOR ME!\u00a0 I haven\u2019t finished Season 2. I\u2019m planning to, but I want to talk about what I\u2019ve watched so far.\u00a0 I\u2019ll try my best not to give any spoilers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seeing these characters again had me crying silently.\u00a0 I mean, any of you who watched Season 1 may understand my cause of distress.\u00a0 Personally, my favorite characters are Jinx and Kaitlyn.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know much about that now.\u00a0 I think I\u2019m leaning more towards Victor than Jinx because I\u2019m liking Victor\u2019s story more, currently.\u00a0 Again, I haven\u2019t finished it, so that may change.\u00a0 Now with Kaitlyn, I\u2019m kind of iffy here. I\u2019m totally not embarrassed.\u00a0 But anyway, Death\u2019s Game is a South Korean fantasy anthology mystery thriller that is based on the many lives that\u2019s taken over by the one life of a man who decided that his life wasn\u2019t worth living anymore.\u00a0 Yes. This show was sad.\u00a0 But yes. This show kept my attention throughout.\u00a0 I mean the way they executed its theme, chef\u2019s kiss. Listen, in the email to the Youtuber I said; It\u2019s a beautiful story about redemption and the moral theme is executed neatly.\u00a0 It has a diverse mix of thriller, action, and romance. There are moments that make me cry and there\u2019s moments that make me want to shake the main protagonist.\u00a0 I mean it too.\u00a0 That\u2019s why it made my 2024 wrapped highlight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Movies<\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If I\u2019m going to talk about shows, then I have to talk about some of the movies I\u2019ve watched in 2024.\u00a0 That may be a lot, I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 I can\u2019t even remember the beginning of 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moana 2<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This automatically came to mind because I just watched this Saturday and felt that it was the best Disney movie that came out this year.\u00a0 I was like, no wonder Wish wasn\u2019t as good. Disney had to make sure that all their elbow grease went towards Moana 2.\u00a0 This movie to me, was quite different from the first but in the best way possible.\u00a0 For example, the music was on a different level.\u00a0 The lyrics to all the songs were on point.\u00a0 And I\u2019m not belittling the work of Lin-Manuel Miranda for working on the first Moana, it\u2019s just the music in this one gave me more symphonies, and they weren\u2019t just lyrical, but had more meaning.\u00a0 If that makes sense.\u00a0 I just think you need to watch it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BERNIE (2011)<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-20795\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/R-212x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/R-212x300.jpg 212w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/R-724x1024.jpg 724w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/R-768x1086.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/R-1086x1536.jpg 1086w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/R.jpg 1131w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 212px) 85vw, 212px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a movie based on an actual crime that happened, but the movie is a literal comedy.\u00a0 I mean I felt so bad when I was laughing, but the movie stars Jack Black.\u00a0 I mean, throughout the movie it was like these witness accounts told by these hillbilly people (I promise this was how it was being portrayed) from like the same neighborhood that was telling the most insane jokes and encounter statements.\u00a0 I mean, I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 It was something.\u00a0 Any who, the reason this movie made it to my 2024 wrap is because it was quite interesting.\u00a0 I did do research on the actual case, and I don\u2019t know, you\u2019ll have to look at it yourself to understand.\u00a0 But without looking at the case, the movie was neat.\u00a0 I think the cinematic story was quite interesting.
