{"id":19522,"date":"2024-04-11T13:39:42","date_gmt":"2024-04-11T18:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/?p=19522"},"modified":"2024-04-11T13:39:45","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T18:39:45","slug":"confusion-question-mark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/2024\/04\/11\/confusion-question-mark\/","title":{"rendered":"Confusion (Question Mark)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Hello everyone!\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0First, I would like to give a brief question introduction:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of us look behind the shower curtain for killers every time we do something in the restroom.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, for those who do, my question is: What are you going to do if you find someone behind them?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any who!\u00a0 While you ponder about that I would like to show and review some of my favorite horror stories that leave me with questions.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After I tell you about the catch; these aren\u2019t regular horror stories.\u00a0 They\u2019re two sentences.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Note* I don\u2019t own any of these, and most of their authors are unknown.\u00a0 They mostly come from Reddit and google.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b># 1 \u201c<\/b><b>They delivered the mannequins in bubble wrap.\u00a0 From the main room I begin to hear popping.\u201d<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This one is interesting because of the context that\u2019s left out (Duh), but I mean it\u2019s like we don\u2019t know if it\u2019s night or day.\u00a0 We don\u2019t know if this person is alone or what.\u00a0 They could be listening to their coworkers unpacking the creepy mannequins.\u00a0 Who\u2019s to say that they\u2019re haunted?\u00a0 Or to say that they are real mannequins?\u00a0 This is why I like this one because it\u2019s only scary or creepy depending on the imagination.\u00a0 If you think outside the box, you may say that one of them just fell. Or maybe the wrapping is just uncurling itself because we don\u2019t know how they wrapped them.\u00a0 It\u2019s interesting to think about.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><b># 2 \u201c<\/b><b>After so many years living alone in this large house I came to a startling revelation.\u00a0 In this time, I had closed far more doors than I had opened.\u201d\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Are we talking metaphorical doors like opportunities?\u00a0 Or are we thinking of actual doors?\u00a0 We don\u2019t know, so this one to me was kind of neutral.\u00a0 Like, I know we can hypothesize that maybe there\u2019s a ghost or something in the house or someone living in the attic. \u00a0 But, then there\u2019s the people across the room that would say, what if the person just forgot to close the doors?\u00a0 Or maybe the doors have just been open since they bought the house and they\u2019re just now shutting them?\u00a0 Food for thought right.\u00a0 Also, I think the narrator themself is fishy, because why are you living alone like that in a big house.\u00a0 Do you have a family?\u00a0 Did you have a family? What happened to them if you did?\u00a0 All these questions that I want to answer.\u00a0 So, I guess that kind of appeals to the spooky sense.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b># 3 \u201cMy<\/b><b>\u00a0son told me that his reflection was threatening to replace him. \u00a0 I thought he was imagining things, until I saw my right-handed son write using his left hand.\u201d\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This one right here is lowkey crazy.\u00a0 Especially since we got some context, and we can clearly guess what happened.\u00a0 I\u2019m just saying, what are you supposed to do after that? \u00a0 Are you supposed to keep going with your everyday routine? \u00a0 Also, I wonder how long has he been writing with his left hand, like when did this switch happen?\u00a0 Because if she doesn\u2019t see him write everyday then she could\u2019ve been living with an impostor for a good ole minute.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Answering the question of what I would do though; I honestly would\u2019ve just packed my bags and left. The person didn\u2019t say how old their son was, so if they\u2019re like 18 and over, I would\u2019ve skedaddled.\u00a0 Don\u2019t worry though, it would\u2019ve been after I tried to find some more evidence about the kid. \u00a0 But if it turns out to be an impostor, he will have to watch that door close behind me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b># 4 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><b>The driver wasn\u2019t very chatty, so I checked my phone.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<h3><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cHey it\u2019s your Uber, I\u2019m outside.\u201d<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dun Dunn DUN!\u00a0 Or however that dramatic music goes. You know what I mean.
