{"id":19356,"date":"2024-03-22T10:59:08","date_gmt":"2024-03-22T15:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/?p=19356"},"modified":"2024-03-22T10:59:11","modified_gmt":"2024-03-22T15:59:11","slug":"they-need-to-chill-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/2024\/03\/22\/they-need-to-chill-out\/","title":{"rendered":"They need to Chill Out"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have any of you noticed how fast all of these movie productions are just shooting out these movies like they&#8217;ve been waiting to do it for a million years?\u00a0 No?\u00a0 Is it just me?\u00a0 Well, if it is just me then I would like to rant a couple of points and examples to why I think Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar, Marvel, and Illumination are just throwing up movies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LIVE ACTIONS\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They went overboard.\u00a0 I feel that society didn\u2019t mind some of the live actions at first. We went to go see them and they were good, and if not, good they at least made sense and didn\u2019t suck. I mean there were some that were cool because the movie was made in like the early 90s and there were millennials who wanted the movies, but then they went all the way back and decided that they\u2019ll make all of the movies into live action.\u00a0 If that makes sense.\u00a0 Like I\u2019m just saying, I just think some of the classics should have just been left alone.\u00a0 I guess to give you a better understanding, maybe I should give you all an example of a live action that was needed and one that should have been left in the drafts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Okay<\/b><b>: <\/b><b>Mulan &amp; Little Mermaid<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19363\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Little-Mermaid-206x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Little-Mermaid-206x300.jpg 206w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Little-Mermaid.jpg 474w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 206px) 85vw, 206px\" \/>\u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19362\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mulan-210x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mulan-210x300.jpg 210w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mulan-718x1024.jpg 718w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mulan-768x1095.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Mulan.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 210px) 85vw, 210px\" \/>\\<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19364\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Black-Little-Mermaid-203x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Black-Little-Mermaid-203x300.png 203w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Black-Little-Mermaid.png 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 203px) 85vw, 203px\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19366\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/mulan-2-203x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/mulan-2-203x300.jpg 203w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/mulan-2.jpg 608w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 203px) 85vw, 203px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was iffy about both of these live actions.\u00a0 Especially Little Mermaid because the franchise had about 4 movies already, so it made me wonder what else they could do?\u00a0 Also, Disney publicized and hyped up this live action so much that I thought it was going to be sitting in the trash after I watched it. \u00a0 Though, after I watched it I willingly ate my words because Halle Bailey did her part, and her singing was on point.\u00a0 Also, the representation was still done well while also keeping the original storyline of The Little Mermaid.\u00a0 So, this one turned out to be one that we needed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On to Mulan, the whole movie was just beautiful to me. \u00a0 The score made by Christina Aguilera was everything and the only thing that I was upset about was the fact that they didn\u2019t have Mushu. \u00a0 Like let\u2019s be honest, they could afford to get Eddie Murphy back.\u00a0 These two Live Actions could leave the drafts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Definitely Not Okay: Lion Kin<\/b><b>g\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19369\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original-215x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"215\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original-215x300.jpg 215w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original-736x1024.jpg 736w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original-768x1069.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original-1103x1536.jpg 1103w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original-1200x1671.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Lion-King-Original.jpg 1471w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 215px) 85vw, 215px\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19370\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/The-Lion-King-300x204.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"204\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was so hyped for this; I got my hopes up.\u00a0 I mean I saved my good allowance for this movie and everything.\u00a0 I remember everyone hyping up the cast on Facebook because Beyonce, Donald Glover, and Chance the Rapper were going to be in there with Beyonce on the score.\u00a0 We thought it was gone be the bomb biggity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turns out we got in there and realized they wasted those 1.663 billion dollars in box office, and we wasted 2 hours of our free time for this movie.\u00a0 Like, I\u2019m sorry if anyone disagrees but this is how I personally feel.\u00a0 Everyone on Facebook was saying how Beyonce&#8217;s acting wasn\u2019t it, and I mean, I can\u2019t fight them on that.\u00a0 The movie\u2019s plot was kind of over the place because they somewhat deviated from the original.\u00a0 The live action was not it and Disney knows that.\u00a0 So why are they coming out with this new Prequel called Mufasa. \u00a0 Like Disney just needs to sit down.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEQUELS<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I know we all feel hurt when our favorite movies end, but we should all feel that when something is good it should stop at a good point.\u00a0 Stop while they\u2019re ahead.\u00a0 Though it seems that some productions (Disney specifically because they\u2019re going downhill)\u00a0 act like they can\u2019t stop. \u00a0 They keep trying to add on more to the good ole movies that we love, why can\u2019t they just make some more classics for the new generation?\u00a0 I\u2019m personally tired of arguing with my niece because she thinks Frozen was in her time when I literally wanted to buy that Elsa costume for my second grade Halloween before she was even born.\u00a0 She wasn\u2019t even thought of yet. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s all because everywhere we turn, they are updating like iPhone.\u00a0 Here are some examples.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frozen 3\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Who gone see it?\u00a0 Not I.\u00a0 They should have left it alone. Some of us were really content with Elsa just going where she belonged and Ana finally finding happiness.\u00a0 But no!\u00a0 They just won&#8217;t let them have peace.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Toy Story 5\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We didn\u2019t even need a Toy Story 4 for real.\u00a0 The last words of the movie were <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cTo Infinity and Beyond.\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> That was supposed to be it.\u00a0 Now they are just going out of proportion.\u00a0 \u00a0They already gave Buzz a spinoff.\u00a0 What can more happen?\u00a0 They give The Toys to Andy\u2019s kid or something?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inside Out 2\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is left to be decided.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to go see it, but when I first heard about it I was flabbergasted.\u00a0 I thought we were done with Riley, but it seems we have to watch her grow up with us.
