\u201cGirl, calm down what is wrong with you?\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I looked at her like she just had the audacity, she didn\u2019t know that this creature was vicious.\u00a0 So, I told her with all seriousness; \u201cWhat do you mean?\u00a0 It\u2019s a butterfly!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If any of you ever watched SpongeBob, I hope you remember watching the episode about <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WORMY \u2014 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sandy\u2019s pet<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2014 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that basically terrorized the town. \u00a0 I mean, all Patrick and SpongeBob and Patrick wanted to do was play tag with him, but he just had to roam loosely.\u00a0 The show made butterflies look so terrifying, looking all weird with their antennas and such, then does anyone remember the close up when it was BUZZING!\u00a0 That moment literally started my whole fear.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There was also that episode on Authur when Binky got bit by a butterfly; I think, in all honesty it may just have been a fever dream, but these are the reasons why butterflies used to frighten me. \u00a0 They don\u2019t as much now, but sometimes I still screech if one flies to close.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LADYBUG OF HORROR\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-19120\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/ladybug-300x219.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/ladybug-300x219.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/ladybug.jpg 499w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even though I loved my grandma to death, I have to admit that sometimes she was a BULLY.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She had these weird methods of discipline but one of the meanest ones to me personally is when she used to drag me to the window and put ladybugs on me.\u00a0 Yes, you heard correctly.\u00a0 When I was young, I used to think that ladybugs would bite me, and it\u2019ll be my last day.\u00a0 That the countdown would start, and I\u2019ll have twenty-four hours.\u00a0 My Grandma knew this, but she wanted me to get over my fear while also learning that I shouldn\u2019t leave her refrigerator door open.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She would call me from the kitchen and tell me that her glasses fell in between the blinds. \u00a0 I\u2019ll leave my <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Qubo <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(if you know you know) and unexpectedly walk to my designated horror.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was like; \u201cCome on now chile, I can\u2019t see nun.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was like; \u201cI am coming Gramzie (my nickname for her, long story)\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When I made it over there, I cringed at the spider webs and dust bunnies on the blinds, but those were overshadowed by the fact that there were no glasses there.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then as soon as I was about to say something, I felt something light but prickly on my cheek, then I heard her mocking tone; \u201cGirl, there\u2019s a ladybug on you!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then she said it with a southern accent.\u00a0 I threw a fit.\u00a0 My mind was really questioning my love for her.\u00a0 I mean it wasn\u2019t no way she just put that ladybug on me like that, my grandma knew better.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m telling y\u2019all, she just laughed and kept telling me it was still there.\u00a0 I wanted to cry, but I didn\u2019t.\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t going to let her see my tears (sounding dramatic?\u00a0 I know, but I was a child.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After that whole fiasco my fear just got worse until it eventually ceased.\u00a0 Now I\u2019m kind of the petty one, and I am threatening to put ladybugs on my niece when she gets on my nerves.\u00a0 But hey, it\u2019s life and apparently a family tradition now.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>MR.
