Or at this time in age, when you hear them 3 gift items you bought from Walmart rise up to $200.00. \u00a0 That, Time. Of. The. Year.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, that means you also know that it\u2019s the time of the year when you yell at that certain person who\u2019s playing all of the Home Alone back-to-back at the break of dawn.\u00a0 No?\u00a0 Well, I guess I\u2019m the only one. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t worry though, I\u2019m not lonely because today I\u2019m joining the side of the people who live and breathe to watch these movies during December, but instead of watching them, I\u2019m going to talk about my favorites that are well known and some that aren\u2019t well known \ud83d\ude42\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>\u00a0Disney A Christmas Carol\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18731\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Christmas-Carol-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Christmas-Carol-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Christmas-Carol.jpg 474w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m pretty sure most of us had seen this classic with Jim Carrey voicing Scrooge.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But like I always say, it\u2019s okay if you didn\u2019t and I don\u2019t mind summing this up for\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you.\u00a0 This is Disney\u2019s adaptation of the story that has been interpreted almost a hundred different ways, the story about the man that is visited by his ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future so that he can get his life together before dying miserably not knowing the purpose of Christmas. \u00a0 I personally think that the graphics put a real good eerie vibe to the story and the plot taught me well. \u00a0 I also want to say that until I was in about 7th grade, watching this movie with the lights off was so scary to me, it was Horror movie level to me.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t laugh! (For those who are snickering with their eyebrows) that scene with Marley still gives me shivers today, especially when the scene is blasting loudly in your earbuds.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Point is, I think everyone should watch this at least once during Christmas break, while I watch this about 300 times.\u00a0 (That\u2019s just me though, I have no choice but to, with a certain Home Alone super fan I know.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Ghosts of Girlfriends Past\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18732\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ghosts-202x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"202\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ghosts-202x300.jpg 202w, https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Ghosts.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 202px) 85vw, 202px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oh my gosh.\u00a0 I know I\u2019ve watched this so many times because of my sisters and I don\u2019t even like watching Rom\/Coms, but I adored this one. Also yes, it\u2019s PG-13 and yes, I watched it at eight but like it didn\u2019t do anything really.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any who, this movie is a modern spin on Scrooge\/ Christmas Carol classic story, where instead of getting visited by ghosts symbolically, he actually gets visited by his past, present, and future ex-girlfriends that he has actually dated. \u00a0 I promise this lighthearted movie is so funny, I mean listen to this plot:\u00a0 A serial womanizer is haunted by the ghosts of his past girlfriends at his brother\u2019s wedding. \u00a0 Also, I think the wife is one of his ex-girlfriend\u2019s) and that one Uncle is in there too.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I know right, the tea.\u00a0 I know it may sound cliche, but it\u2019s not cliche at all and it\u2019s so sweet, and to me all of it was fantastic.\u00a0 Also, if you\u2019re worried that it\u2019s an overworked plot and that everything is going to be expected, you can relax now because it has a different theme than most of those movies, and if you need a little bit more convincing, here\u2019s the cast list for those who may know these people:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Matthew McConaughey\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jennifer Garner\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emma Stone\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Polar Express\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18734\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.msabrookhaven.org\/literary\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/polar-express-1-203x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"203\" height=\"300\" know most of us have<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> watched this movie, but listen, I just learned that the movie was all CGI, I mean, the people didn\u2019t animate these characters and the cast voiced them.\u00a0 I mean, Tom Hanks and everyone else sat there and actually acted out the movements and the actual face expressions and emotions of these characters.\u00a0 I watched the behind the scenes, and I was so shocked. \u00a0 I suggest a lot of people would love BTS because the way Tom Hanks portrayed every character, he played was gold for me.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, I mean it\u2019s a classic, even though someone I know said it was creepy, it\u2019s a creepy classic.\u00a0 I mean, I have warm memories of it, and I watch this every year.\u00a0 So, take this as a reminder not to forget it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 This Christmas\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-18735\" 400;\">If you know you know, and if you don\u2019t, (silence) well, I\u2019m going to tell you anyway.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plot is starring the Whitfield&#8217;s who are finally coming together as a full family on Christmas after four years, and the head of the house, Madera Whitfield the mother, is happy to see her estranged older son, her marine son, her teenage baby boy, and her three daughters despite the fact that they all, have beef with each other.\u00a0 The movie has so many layers, for example, there\u2019s debts that need to be paid, secret family members, secret kids, and so much more.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I personally love the movie because it&#8217;s heartwarming and reminds me of my family sometimes with and without the drama.\u00a0 So, if you just like movies that are a Slice of Life, and it\u2019s on Christmas, you should go check it out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
