I had a title for this that was better but I can&#8217;t come up with anything better than that.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote><h3>I&#8217;m tired of dead dogs<\/h3><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>tw: animal death, gore<\/p>\n\n<p>Ripping open my skull and feeding it to dogs.\nThey snap frontal to get to my amygdala and\nfeast. Tearing open my liver to feed to hawks\nand unspooling my veins like spiderweb to feed\nthe mice.<\/p>\n\n<p>I\u2019m coughing up blood.<\/br>\nI\u2019m tired of running.<\/p>\n\n<p>I\u2019m being torn apart by dogs and it\u2019s painful\nbut I\u2019m surviving as they tear the flesh from\nmy shoulders. The blood is leaking through\nmy clothes, and I\u2019m sorry. What the hell,\nI\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n\n<p>My body\u2019s giving out so by God, and it\u2019s\ngoing to heaven (I think,) so with my last\nbreath, to the dogs that turn up dead under houses, that run underneath and get left on the road, I&#8217;m sorry neither of us can do more for heaven on Earth \nor hell underground and it\u2019s gonna kill us.<\/p>\n\n<p>They seem proud, but I know they\u2019ll starve<\/br>\ntomorrow.<\/br>\nIt seems an unfair fate.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote><h3>She Won&#8217;t<\/h3><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>crying on her doorstep, her family\u2019s screaming behind a door that&#8217;s not thick enough but somehow always thicker than its supposed to be. I give her my coat, it\u2019s no more warming than me<\/p>\n<p>because I know I can\u2019t undo this. I can\u2019t storm inside and make them accept reality <strike>accept this.<\/strike><\/p>\n<p>so we sit on her doorstep, and she cries and weeps and I can\u2019t do anything but hope my coat holds her better than I can<\/p>\n<p>maybe I\u2019m too afraid to say anything. she\u2019s run her throat too dry to speak. There\u2019s a dark feeling in my chest, asking if I&#8217;ll lose her, I hope I won\u2019t when she\u2019s my world, but something tells me that\u2019s not my choice. I don\u2019t know anymore.<\/p>\n\n<p>It\u2019s two am.<\/br>\nWhere the hell am I.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Technical finale?
