Hi, I literally have zero ideas for this anymore. So, today we\u2019re going to look at a poem I wrote called The Fool. I just wanted to talk about something to do with my own writing and I wasn\u2019t sure what to do for that. I figured we could just talk about a poem I wrote sometime this year. Anyway, feel free to leave any suggestions for this piece in your comments if you\u2019d like. I wrote it pretty quickly for fun, so it is not edited or anything.<\/p>\n

The Fool<\/u><\/p>\n

Zero<\/p>\n

The number of unlimited potentials<\/p>\n

No place in the sequence of the tarot<\/p>\n

In the journey through life,<\/p>\n

The Major Arcana<\/p>\n

He is ever present needing no number<\/p>\n

Gazing upwards towards the universe,<\/p>\n

The young man stands along a cliff<\/p>\n

Without a single care in the world<\/p>\n

He skips onto a new adventure unaware<\/p>\n

Unaware he is about to skip off a precipice<\/p>\n

Into the unknown<\/p>\n

Only a knapsack over his shoulder<\/p>\n

The white rose in his hand held as a sign<\/p>\n

Of purity and innocence<\/p>\n

At his feet, a small white dog<\/p>\n

A dog of loyalty and protection<\/p>\n

Encouraging him to charge forward<\/p>\n

And learn the lessons he came to learn<\/p>\n

The mountains behind him are challenges yet to come<\/p>\n

They are forever present<\/p>\n

Yet the fool does not care<\/p>\n

He is only focused on starting his expedition<\/p>\n

Having faith in the future of his new beginnings<\/p>\n

With beginners\u2019 luck, not knowing what to expect<\/p>\n

So, let\u2019s talk about it. Obviously, it is about the fool tarot card. In all honestly, I haven\u2019t thought of an underlining meaning for it. It tells a story of the fool. I would consider this piece an analysis of this tarot card in the form of poetry. The Fool card itself represents new beginnings, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, beginners\u2019 luck, improvising, and believing in the universe. It is one of the 22 major arcana. Numbered as 0 or XXII. The zero represents the number of unlimited potentials as stated in the first 2 lines of my poem. The 3rd<\/sup> and 4th<\/sup> line shows how the major arcana can show the journey through life. Some people consider the fool as ever present and needing no number to his card. Lines 7-12 show the fool\u2019s belief and trust in the universe as he is going to skip off a cliff. It shows his trust that the universe will have his back in the situation. The dog also represents loyalty and protection. He puts his trust in every factor to move forward beyond the challenges yet to come, shown by the mountains behind him. He focuses only on his journey. Starting new beginnings.<\/p>\n
