I am using the titles from each of these &#8220;trash&#8221;\/ unfinished pieces to make a poem, so you might see one of your titles being used!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>(no title)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>mid day thoughts<\/p>\n<p>rumbling through my one track mind in<\/p>\n<p>colors like the sunset<\/p>\n<p>its kind of painful to bear behind eyelids<\/p>\n<p>but I take the heat anyway<\/p>\n<p>defending the brilliance in the way one<\/p>\n<p>hides beneath orange streetlamps at midnight<\/p>\n<p>in the downpour of rain<\/p>\n<p>just waiting<\/p>\n<p>waiting<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>something I have noticed lately<\/p>\n<p>within the realm of my usual<\/p>\n<p>existential crises<\/p>\n<p>is the lack of the teenage clich\u00e9<\/p>\n<p>people keep talking about<\/p>\n<p>boy meets girl, they make out<\/p>\n<p>they breakup<\/p>\n<p>but people usually forget the 3 am secrets they share<\/p>\n<p>before the rumor, the ruin<\/p>\n<p>the running<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>carousel horses have caught hold of my head<\/p>\n<p>and they spin faster than my<\/p>\n<p>seven -year-old self remembers;<\/p>\n<p>concrete nightmares, out of hand<\/p>\n<p>and stuck tight as the noises<\/p>\n<p>in the spaces between hotel walls<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>colors<\/p>\n<p>colors, too many<\/p>\n<p>too far an expanse to imagine<\/p>\n<p>without getting <em>too creative<\/em><\/p>\n<p>floating &#8217;round in ideas ever- changing<\/p>\n<p>and losing grip of reality<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I have been building unity in this<\/p>\n<p>oppression of myself<\/p>\n<p>it&#8217;s healthier this way, I suppose<\/p>\n<p>when the brain loses hold<\/p>\n<p>all bets are off<\/p>\n<p>birthdays have the feel of business meetings<\/p>\n<p>and the color blue ceases to exist<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I go back to the orange streetlamps on the corners<\/p>\n<p>looking dimmer than before, but still<\/p>\n<p>reminding me of the sun<\/p>\n<p>I go back to the places that have burned<\/p>\n<p>me into the dark, warm<\/p>\n<p>earth and smile<\/p>\n<p>I close my eyes and think about it some more.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was looking around for new inspiration to write and\u00a0 I fell into the trash category of our blogs.
